Er Ya, however, took Wen Qiao to her mother's bedroom.
He also poured Wen Qiao a glass of water.
Wen Qiao smiled at Er Ya and whispered a thank you.
She walked to the bedside, and Li Qin began to wipe away tears upon seeing Wen Qiao.
"Wen Qiao, why did you come to see me again? Don't worry, this has nothing to do with you. It's our fault for not raising our daughter properly. I may be uneducated, but I'm not stupid."
"Tell me, my daughter, whom I raised, threatened to kill herself to force herself to marry Xu Weimin. I had no choice but to agree."
“Now, because Xu Weimin behaved inappropriately, I said a few words to him, and his father-in-law, Lao Wang, hit him a few times. My good-for-nothing son of mine then defended him.”
“Last night, I was burning up with fever, but she didn’t care about me at all and actually ran away in the chaos.”
Wang Ronghua is truly a heartless wretch.
Her own mother was sick and lying in bed, crying out in pain. Instead of caring about her mother, she took advantage of the fact that no one was watching her and went to find Xu Weimin.
Last night, after Wang Gang and Li Qin had a fight, the solution they came up with was to let Wang Ronghua stay at their home.
Xu Weimin's personality meant he was bound to get into trouble sooner or later.
Once Xu Weimin gets into trouble, it's only right that Wang Ronghua should divorce him.
Wang Ronghua was devoted to Xu Weimin and loved him deeply.
She'd rather lose her parents than not have a man.
Her running away made Li Qin even angrier, and several blisters appeared on her lips.
When I talk to Wen Qiao, I always cry while I'm talking.
“I, Li Qin, have always been proud and strong-willed. I never thought I would raise such a good-for-nothing. Her father was at least a political commissar. Even if my daughter is uneducated, she could still find a better partner.”
"But she wouldn't listen to us, stubbornly clinging to Xu Weimin like a crooked tree."
Li Qin was furious.
Shen Jichuan had already prepared breakfast, but Wen Qiao did not come from the Wang family. He carried the sleeping Da Bao in one arm and walked to the Wang family's door in a few steps.
He called Wen Qiao's name a few times.
After hearing this, Er Ya ran to her mother's room and told Wen Qiao.
"Aunt Wenqiao, Uncle Chen is calling you home for dinner."
Upon hearing this, Li Qin wiped away her tears and said, "Wen Qiao, you should go home quickly. I only dragged you along to chat because I had no one else to talk to. You have many young children at home, so you should go home now."
Wen Qiao stood up. "Sister-in-law, you should rest well. I'll come and chat with you later."
Wang Gang, who was standing nearby, offered a reminder.
"Wen Qiao, your sister-in-law has a fever. You have children at home, so please don't come. Don't let them get infected. It's troublesome when children have a fever."
Wen Qiao found out that it was indeed true.
“Brother Wang is right. If anything happens at home, just call us. We’re all neighbors, and you’ve helped us a lot.”
Wang Gang nodded and agreed.
After Wen Qiao left, Wang Gang watched her departing figure and couldn't help but think how wonderful it would be if his daughter were half as sensible as Wen Qiao.
"Dad, what are you looking at? Aunt Wenqiao is Uncle Shen's wife, and your wife is crying her heart out on the kang (heated brick bed) inside the house."
Er Ya glanced at her father, snorted, and reminded him.
Wang Gang turned his head and glanced at his second daughter.
He said with a stern face:
"You're just talking nonsense, kid. I was thinking, if your sister were like Comrade Wen Qiao, tell me, how much less trouble would your mother and I have to worry about?"
Er Ya said, "Dad, why are you thinking so optimistically? People like you and Mom can't give birth to a girl as beautiful as Aunt Wen Qiao."
"You'd better stop daydreaming."
