192: Cherish your wife

After Er Ya finished speaking, she turned around and went back into the house to bring food to her mother.

Wang Gang suddenly realized that his daughter Er Ya was quite smart, had a keen eye for problems, and had her own thoughts and opinions.

He used to think that no matter how good his daughter was, she was still a girl, and not as good as his son.

Wang Ronghua is Wang Gang's first daughter, so he pays more attention to her.

The second child, who was the only one who was neglected, turned out to be quite intelligent.

Wang Gang thought to himself that he should raise Er Ya properly in the future, so that she could join the army and become a female soldier.

Back home, Wen Qiao then told Shen Jichuan about the Wang family's affairs.

Shen Jichuan put the child in the cradle, washed his hands, and began to serve the porridge.

She said to Wen Qiao, "This Wang family matter has nothing to do with us. I'm just afraid that Sister Li will complain about you later."

Wen Qiao said, "No, Sister-in-law Li and Brother Wang are both very reasonable people. Sister-in-law Li told me that she was thinking of getting Wang Ronghua to divorce Xu Weimin, but who knew that Wang Ronghua had a hard time and ran home by herself that night."

Shen Jichuan chuckled.

"He will reap what he sows. If he suffers losses or injustices outside in the future, he will obediently come back to ask his parents for help."

Wen Qiao sighed, "Raising a daughter really takes a lot of worry."

Shen Jichuan glanced at Wen Qiao and said softly, "Don't worry, our Sanbao won't do that. Eat properly. Sister-in-law Wang has a fever and a cold. For the sake of the children, you should go over there less often."

Wen Qiao replied, "I know."

She took off her coat outside when she came in, and then quickly washed her hands with soap when she returned to the room.

Lu Yazhi knew a little about the Wang family's situation and chimed in, saying that the eldest daughter of the Wang family was having a mental breakdown.

Her own father was a political commissar; she could have chosen any kind of man she wanted. How could she be so blind as to choose Xu Weimin, that womanizer?

Shen Jichuan didn't respond and continued eating.

Wen Qiao chatted with her mother for a few minutes.

After breakfast, Wen Qiao went to tidy up, Lü Yazhi watched the children sweep the floor, and Shen Jichuan took his clothes and handbag and went out.

Before leaving, I went to the kitchen and said to Wen Qiao:

"The two nannies will arrive around 8:30, but they might not come at the same time. You or Mom can go to the door to meet them then."

Wen Qiao hummed in agreement, "I understand."

Shen Jichuan looked at Wen Qiao and said, "Comrade Wen Qiao, I'm talking to you, and you don't even look at me."

Wen Qiao then put down her bowl and chopsticks, and said with a light laugh:

"Look at my hands, they're all wet. Why would I look at you? I heard what you said, that's enough."

Shen Jichuan leaned in and kissed Wen Qiao on the face.

"I just wanted to say a few words to you."

After he finished speaking, he added, "If both nannies are available, then keep them both. You'll have an easier time and won't have to do anything. We'll just have to make ends meet for two years, and things will be fine once the child starts daycare."

Wen Qiao said, "Let's forget it. One nanny will do. The nanny and my mom can take care of Da Bao and Er Bao, and I can take care of San Bao myself."

Shen Jichuan had no reason to object to her seemingly well-thought-out plan.

"Okay, we'll do it your way. I'm just busy right now, but when I'm not so busy, I can help take care of the kids. It's really hard on you."

As he spoke, he gently rubbed Wen Qiao's soft hair on the top of her head.

"If I had known, I wouldn't have let you get pregnant and have a child so early."

Wen Qiao laughed, "Yes, it's all your fault."

Li Ling had been so certain before that Shen Jichuan was old, in poor health, and had been injured in battle, and that he was destined to have no heir.

Wen Qiao thought so too.

She felt that even if Shen Jichuan hadn't been physically injured, he was already so old, it wouldn't be easy for him to have another child.

Who would have thought that just a few months after her marriage, she would get pregnant so easily, and even triplets.

What a pleasant surprise! What an unexpected turn of events!
