A dozen or so guards clad in soft armor frowned as they stared at the tunnel, each with a hint of worry on their faces.
"What happened in the tunnel? Someone came up for help earlier, but it's still not resolved," a young man said with some concern.
The others also shook their heads, but their expressions were not good.
If it weren't for the need to guard the tunnel entrance to prevent any accidents, they would have already entered the tunnel together.
Those two explosions just now made the ground tremble a few times; something serious must have happened inside.
Just as I was getting worried, the tightly closed door suddenly opened from the outside.
Everyone looked outside, but before they could see who it was, a woman raised her curved sword and instantly beheaded three Xiliang people.
Blood spurted out instantly, and the people who had been standing there in shock immediately cried out in alarm, "Help! Someone help! There's an assassin!"
Liu'er knew something was wrong and swung her curved sword directly at the person who was shouting.

Lin Yan'an huddled in a corner, ripped off the bundle he was carrying on his back, and took out the wooden box inside.
Before he could even open it, he heard a whooshing sound. He quickly protected the wooden box and rolled under the table.
A curved blade, however, was driven straight into the ground where he had been standing.
He swallowed hard, feeling a lingering fear.
Fortunately, his martial arts skills haven't improved recently, but his vigilance has. Otherwise, that curved knife would definitely have pierced his body directly.
Just as they were feeling relieved, several more people from Xiliang appeared outside.
After getting a clear look at the situation inside the house, he rushed over with the knife in his hand.
"Assassins! Men, kill them!"
Lin Yan'an was startled when he saw the people who suddenly rushed over, and he quickly reached out to pull out the curved knife from the ground.
But all they heard was a terrified voice, "Kill them, kill them!"
Liu'er was also startled by the sound and saw the woman in her black cloak rushing towards the several Xiliang people who had suddenly appeared.
She was startled, quickly dealt with the person in front of her, retreated, and threw hidden weapons at the Xiliang people.
Instantly, half of those people collapsed to the ground.
Seeing this, the remaining people immediately rushed towards Liu'er, ignoring the woman in the black cloak, and shouted, "Where did this bastard come from, daring to attack us?"
The woman in the black cloak continued shouting, "Kill them!" as she ran towards the brightly lit pavilion.
Liu'er frowned, wanting to stop them, but the people inside the room attacked her again.
Together with the others outside, they instantly surrounded her.
She had no choice but to focus on the immediate situation, and saw Lin Yan'an pick up the curved knife from the ground and run towards her.
Liu'er quickly said, "Don't worry about me, quickly seal off the tunnel."
Lin Yan'an was taken aback, but quickly responded and opened the box in his arms, pouring all the gunpowder at the entrance of the tunnel.
Just as he was about to take out a tinderbox from his pocket, several Xiliang men quietly approached him and kicked him away.
With a loud thud, he crashed into the wall behind him and fell heavily to the ground, leaving him dizzy and disoriented.
The Xiliang men, however, had no intention of letting him go and raised their curved swords to slash at him.
Lin Yan'an was startled and, ignoring the pain in his body, quickly lunged forward to dodge the curved blade that was slashing at him.
He rolled a few times on the ground, but before he could completely distance himself from those people, the Xiliang men were already stabbing the ground hard with their curved knives.
Lin Yan'an cursed inwardly for a few moments, then rolled over once more, grabbed the curved knife that had fallen to the ground, quickly stopped himself, got up, and directly blocked the curved knife that was slashing at him.
His gaze fell on Liu'er, who was surrounded by about ten people in the center. He frowned, exerted force, and quickly slashed at the people in front of him.
He completely forgot all the moves he had learned from Wang San, and just frantically slashed at the people in front of him.
Those men were forced to retreat step by step by his swinging knife. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Lin Yan'an pounced and knocked away one of the men who were surrounding Liu'er.
Liu'er was also freed. She turned around, grabbed Lin Yan'an's shoulder, and quickly ran outside.
Lin Yan'an quickly took out a tinderbox from his pocket, blew on it to ignite the small flame, and threw it directly towards the entrance of the tunnel.
Upon seeing this, the people from Xiliang hurriedly tried to stop it, but the tinderbox fell directly onto the gunpowder at the entrance of the tunnel.
Instantly, the flames ignited the gunpowder scattered at the tunnel entrance, and with a loud "bang," a violent explosion came from the area around the tunnel.
The secluded hut that had stood tall in the darkness collapsed instantly, burying the Xiliang people who were still inside under the rubble.
Liu'er and Lin Yan'an were also forced to lie down on the ground by the aftershocks of the explosion.
The loud explosions and the sound of the ground collapsing continued for quite a while before stopping.
Lin Yan'an looked at the person in his arms and made sure that Liu'er was alright before getting up from the ground.
Upon seeing the completely collapsed house and the numerous cracks in the surrounding ground, Lin Yan'an swallowed hard in fear, "This gunpowder was really powerful."
