Chapter 88 Mimi Catches Chickens

Liu Xiaoyun bent over and looked around in the woods, occasionally peeking through the grass and bushes, as if afraid of missing something.

Jiang Yimian was a little curious, so she walked over and asked in confusion, "Aunt Xiaoyun, what are you looking for?"

Liu Xiaoyun saw that it was Jiang Yimian and had no choice but to get up. "The chickens are missing. One was missing yesterday, and two more are missing today. I don't know what happened."

She only has three hens, so she'll be short a lot of eggs, which is driving her crazy.

Yesterday, she thought the chicken had gotten lost in the woods, so she searched everywhere but couldn't find it. Today, she was thinking of letting the chickens out of the coop, thinking that if the chicken got lost, it would definitely come back when it heard these chickens calling.

To her dismay, not only did she not find the chickens, but two more went missing, nearly driving her to her death. She quickly herded the chickens back into the coop.

Jiang Yimian frowned as well. Losing three chickens in a row was no small matter. After thinking for a while, she said, "Aunt Xiaoyun, why don't we stop herding the chickens into the woods these days? We can just leave them in the yard. We can clean up the chicken droppings more often."

I sometimes go and gather rabbit grass, and I can also gather some chicken grass for you while I'm at it.

Liu Xiaoyun could only nod helplessly, "That's all we can do. Thank you, Yimian."

As she spoke, she looked around the woods again, and only after confirming that there was no sign of chickens did she return disappointed.

She had finally hatched a dozen or so chickens, and they were all grown up and ready to lay eggs, but then three of them went missing, which made her extremely angry.

As the two were talking, they saw Mimi suddenly run towards the Chen family's chicken coop, startling the chickens inside and causing them to scatter in all directions.

Jiang Yimian was startled, assuming that Mimi had eaten all the chickens these past few days. She immediately frowned and ran over, scolding, "Mimi, come back."

Liu Xiaoyun was also a little anxious, so she quickly ran over.

The two people's anxious shouts startled everyone, and they all came out of the house.

Upon seeing Mimi swatting away many chickens in Chen's chicken coop, everyone rushed over in fright.

The chickens in the coop were so frightened by Mimi that they flew around in all directions, and some even flapped their wings and flew onto the roof.

Others scattered and fled, and everyone rushed to catch them.

After finally calming the chickens down, Jiang Yimian looked at Mimi, who still hadn't had time to retract her claws in the chicken coop.

The little tiger has grown quite a bit recently. It used to be tiny, but now it's almost a meter long. Plus, it gets to eat birds and meat every day, so it looks much stronger. You can clearly tell it's not a cat, but a tiger.

The menacing look he casually revealed was truly frightening.

Old Liu was also startled by Mimi's sudden outburst and chicken-catching. After hesitating for a while, he said, "The chickens that went missing these past few days, were they eaten by Mimi? Tigers aren't exactly vegetarians, and even after raising them for so long, they're still not tamed."

Although the others didn't say anything, they clearly had the same thought.

A wild beast is still a wild beast; its innate wildness cannot be eliminated, especially for a tiger, for hunting is its nature.

Seeing everyone silent, Liu Xiaoyun quickly tried to smooth things over, saying with a smile, "It's okay, Mimi is probably hungry. I'll feed her something in a bit. We've raised her for so long, how could she possibly eat chicken? She's probably just playing around."

Hearing Liu Xiaoyun say this, the others didn't say anything more.

Jiang Yimian frowned, picked Mimi up from the chicken coop, slapped Mimi on the forehead, and said coldly, "Why are you pouncing on the chickens? If you're not full, why don't you go eat from your own bowl?"

Although Mimi doesn't like to eat from the bowl, she will eat everything that Jiang Yimian puts in.

But now, there's clearly a dead sparrow in that basin. If Mimi isn't eating it, it means she must be full. But this guy is attacking the chicken again. It's really strange.

I've had her for several months, and this is the first time I've seen Mimi pounce on the chickens so fiercely. It's also the first time she's shown her tiger-like wildness.

Jiang Yimian couldn't understand it, but Mimi in her arms let out a pitiful "woof".

Jiang Yimian was even angrier. She glared at Mimi in her arms before saying to Liu Xiaoyun, "Auntie, I'm sorry to have made you worry. Don't worry, I'll keep Mimi locked up for the next few days. I'll let her out when she stops attacking chickens."

Liu Xiaoyun could only nod helplessly, looking at Mimi's pitiful appearance and hesitating to speak.

Although they didn't believe that Mimi had eaten the chickens, Mimi's movements when she pounced on the chickens were so skilled and fierce that if they hadn't arrived in time, Mimi would have definitely eaten them.

As soon as Jiang Yimian got back, she put Mimi in a wooden cage. The cage wasn't very big, but it was very heavy. Even though Mimi rolled around inside in dissatisfaction, the cage didn't budge.

The cage was originally made as a trap, but we were afraid that such a heavy wooden cage would fall and kill someone, so we left it at home. Unexpectedly, it has now been used by Mimi.

Jiang Yimian closed the cage and locked it with a wooden bolt. She looked coldly at the creature rolling around inside in dissatisfaction and warned it irritably, "I won't let you out no matter how cute you act. Who told you to go eat chicken? Didn't your family feed you enough?"

You should reflect on your actions carefully. You'll be released when you admit your mistakes.

After saying that, he went straight into the house.

Mimi cried pitifully in the cage, but Jiang Yimian didn't come out to look at it even once.

Although Xiao Nuan'er and Xiao Ye felt sorry for Mimi being locked in a small cage, their little faces were now full of seriousness.

"Mimi, you were wrong this time. How could you go play PUBG? You can't come out until you admit your mistake."

Ono said seriously, and even reached into the cage to pat Mimi's head.

Little Nuan'er also looked very serious and said in her childish voice, "Sister did the right thing. You can't eat chicken or rabbit anymore. Remember that and don't do it again, okay?"

Mimi seemed to understand what the two were saying, and let out an even more aggrieved howl, rolling around in the cage.

The two children thought Mimi was just being cute and affectionate, so they patted Mimi's head and said earnestly, "Mimi, you should reflect on your actions in your cage."

After saying that, he went back to practicing calligraphy.

For several days in a row, Mimi was kept in a cage as punishment. Mimi, who used to have ten birds at a meal, only had five at a meal and was not allowed to go out to hunt for food on her own.

Although Mimi looked aggrieved, she obediently finished all the food. As soon as Jiang Yimian came to see her, she stared at her expectantly, hoping that Jiang Yimian would let her out quickly.

Jiang Yimian pretended not to see it. Although she felt a little sorry for Mimi, who was so big, being locked in a small cage, she hardened her heart and ignored her.

She was afraid that if she softened her stance now, and Mimi continued to eat the family's rabbits and chickens in the future, she wouldn't be able to protect her anymore. At that point, not only would her family not tolerate Mimi, but she wouldn't be able to keep Mimi any longer.

Therefore, I made up my mind to teach Mimi a lesson.

He immediately rushed into the house without even glancing at it.
