And so I witnessed the arrival of misfortune.
Like a random lottery draw, without any protective gear... well, at this height, even if you plated your skin with gold, you'd still die. The group of passengers, who hadn't even figured out what was going on, crashed hard to the ground from the sky. Under such a terrifying impact and acceleration, getting a whole corpse would be a dream come true.
The scene was reminiscent of swatting a mosquito, the two almost perfectly mirroring each other in this moment. People plummeting from the sky to the ground exploded, far beyond simple death. The shattered fragments not only delivered an impact force powerful enough to crush a car roof but also brought gruesome blood loss. It's hard to imagine that so much blood could be squeezed from a human body; bones and internal organs were already pulverized, the entire body reduced to a pile of mangled flesh. If you were lucky, you might even find an intact eyeball inside.
At this moment, they all faced death with equal equality.
Then, the "rain" of crashing sounds continued to play.
Within minutes, the blood plasma, a mixture of all organs, viscera, and bones, completely covered the entire street, making it look as if some new celebration, comparable to the Water Festival, had been invented. And where they were was a giant meat grinder, turning fresh chunks of meat into delicious filling, one after another.
Disasters have no end.
Three loud bangs.
Three unlucky men crashed into the steps in front of the police station, smashing a huge dent into the marble. A pool of flesh, guided by blood, spread from the ground and flowed into the distance.
Carlos grimaced as he got up, helping Merlink along the way: "Damn it, thank goodness I was quick enough to get the laptop out. Oh right, where's the other one?"
"Get off me right now, you're sitting on my bladder." An arm with newly growing skin reached out and draped over him; it was none other than He Yu. "Damn, who just kicked me off?"
Beside them, a man who had just come out of the door was terrified. He stood there, his body tense, unable to utter a word, and seemed to be struggling to hold back his sobs.
Sergio slipped away from the police officer like a thief, glancing at He Yu and the other two a few times, thinking they looked familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen them before.
It doesn't matter. He needs to hurry up and meet up with Joseph. He's already wasted too much time. He's really grateful to that genius who created the panic, otherwise he would have to kill everyone here before he could leave.
Carlos casually remarked that the place now looked like it had been rained on with paint, making it look much more artistic.
Merlink gave him a helpless look, then sensed something unusual and turned around with a puzzled expression.
But they found nothing.
