Chapter Seventy-Six: Falling from a High Altitude

Five minutes later.

Sergio pushed open the shop door and walked out, looking like he had just finished playing a game of chiseling. Although he was covered in blood, anyone could tell that he was in a very good mood.

Passersby on the street were stunned. Amidst the city's splendor and prosperity, that horrifying sight could erase all color, leaving only a bloody and dark backdrop.

Someone immediately called the police. Sergio didn't even think about running away. He figured that the Los Angeles Police Department would understand since a few robbers had died.

Before long, sirens blared through the streets. The police arrived as if facing a major threat, thoroughly searched him, handcuffed him, and then put Sergio on either side of his shoulders and escorted him into the police car.

Twenty minutes later.

Interrogation room.

"Name?"

"Sergio Renatal".

After asking that question, the officer across the interrogation table nodded symbolically to indicate that he understood.

Then I ignored him completely.

Sergio stared blankly at the man for a long time. The light shone on his face, making his expression somewhat mechanical, and his pupils dilated, clearly due to the effects of the drugs.

Damn it, he thought of those packs of cigarettes laced with a potent tonic, which were said to be so potent that they could take you to heaven and let you see Jesus playing Monopoly with God. Unfortunately, he hadn't even had a chance to taste them before he was gone.

This colossal city of angels is filled with desire, hallucinogens, and countless dead people, and these influences are ingrained in every corner.

The officer in charge of the interrogation finally made a move. He took everything out of Sergio's pockets, searched through them several times, and then his attention was drawn to an ID card.

He immediately realized it was time to show off, so he sat up straight and waited for the other person to ask again.

"A sign for a baby eating instruction class... What kind of garbage is this? Are you an idiot?"

He was amused and said this, with a look of disdain in his eyes, as if he had already classified Sergio as mentally ill.

"hiss……"

The dignified C01 operative gasped, then fell silent, clutching his forehead.

It's probably the work of those idiots in the transit department. I've pissed on their approval documents quite often, and now this is my just-right retribution.

A few seconds of consideration.

"I need to make a phone call."

Not having an identity card will cause a lot of trouble, such as the painful conversation that is about to happen.

Sergio looked over with a serious expression that said, "You'd better listen to me," only to find that the man didn't even lift his head.

"Stop overthinking it. The technical department is checking the surveillance footage. Once the relevant evidence is available, I will naturally send you to where you belong."

"Haha, a very righteous cop." He clapped his hands lightly, the sound mingling with the rattling of handcuffs. "Have you heard of Eoubs?"

Sergio leaned back, thinking to himself, "I'm going to show off today."

"What is that? Some kind of gay club?"

The officer just thought he was talking nonsense; since his job was so boring anyway, he figured he might as well listen.

“Tsk…” Sergio suppressed his urge to kill and patiently explained, “This is an official institution beyond your comprehension. It’s normal for ordinary people like you to have never heard of it.”

"Let me tell you what will happen next."

He crossed his arms, rested his chin on them, nodded seriously, and continued, “Soon, someone will knock on the door, and you'll be called outside. Standing outside is a high-ranking official you don't recognize. First, he'll praise you, thanking you for your efforts and contributions to the bright future of Los Angeles, and then he'll tell you—”

"I will be released. You may not understand this, or even dare to question it, but the final result is that I will leave here unharmed."

Just as the officer was about to say something, there was a sudden knock on the door.

His colleague pushed open the door, poked his head in, and said to him, "The boss said we couldn't find any information on this idiot, so let's just lock him up here for now."

Sergio was utterly shocked. Could such a thing really exist?

Damn them! When this raid is over, he's going to go back and kill the entire Tongxing Department family.

The officer responded with a few words, then closed the door again, his gaze towards Sergio becoming even more mocking.

"Well... that was just an accident, you know, which celebrity doesn't have haters?" He cleared his throat, thinking that things couldn't go on like this. "Listen, I think you're quite pleasing to the eye. The reason you arrested me was because there were too many people on the street at the time, and I was worried that some innocent people would get hurt."

"In short, since conventional methods are no longer effective, I will take tough measures next."

The police officer watched him go crazy with a half-smile, thinking to himself, "If you're some big shot, my whole family will be wiped out today. My wife and daughter are on a flight to Los Angeles right now, and they'll be at the airport in a little while. I just need to listen to this idiot ramble on for a few more minutes before I can go home and pick them up."

“First, I’ll break the handcuffs. It’s as easy for me as picking my nose,” Sergio said, and then he actually removed the entire pair of handcuffs right in front of him, crumpling them up like a ball of paper.

"Then, you'll definitely take some extreme actions against me, but I'll be fine because... damn it?"

...

...

Oxygen makes you feel refreshed.

Until you can face death.

10,000 meters above the ground.

One after another, people wearing oxygen masks flew out of the huge gap, crying and screaming. Hundreds and thousands of twisted wails mingled together, like music from hell. The desperate screams of impending destruction reached the ears of every citizen strolling in the street, making them unable to stop looking up.
