Chapter 5 Three people living a good life is better than anything else
Having met so many men, Zhou Zhou always assumed that men like to say nice things.
What you say is different from what you do. This is a bad habit that every man is born with and has nothing to do with appearance or money.
Zhou Zhou didn't take the coincidence that happened at the door in the evening seriously.
She agreed, but she also knew that some people were hypocritical, only enjoying the pleasure of their lower body and not taking other people's feelings seriously.
Zhou Zhou has heard too many men say, "Zoe, I'm serious about you." Then the man turns around and makes love with a new woman in another bed.
This kind of thing happens all the time.
So when she heard what Cheng Yu said, she felt a little emotional - but only at that moment. She didn't think that men could really make such clear distinctions when choosing prey.
When he flirted with her, they didn't know each other yet.
Cheng Yu threw the person out, which was beyond her expectation.
Zhou Zhou admitted that she had very little sense of morality. She didn't have that much compassion to speak up for a stranger.
If she were in his place, she would also hate people who repeatedly crossed the line.
Instead, she kept looking at Cheng Yu, thinking about him with great interest.
They were drinking and chatting happily, but in the blink of an eye they left the person outside?
Zhou Zhou found it very interesting.
From his actions and other people's reactions, she realized that Cheng Yu was indeed a man with his own set of rules. Before his patience ran out, he was always good-tempered.
It's not that he is good at disguising, but that he is too lazy to care.
It was becoming more and more to her liking.
Zhou Zhou was even more certain that she wouldn't sleep with Cheng Yu, and Cheng Yu wouldn't sleep with her. Besides the fact that they both made each other feel inadequate, Cheng Yu was a complicated, difficult man to control.
Even if she was just going to sleep, she didn't want to lose the initiative.
She had taken the initiative with Cheng Yu, but just lost it. This was not a good thing.
Zhou Zhou opened his suitcase, took his makeup bag and went to the bathroom to remove his makeup.
After a busy day, she was tired but not sleepy. Perhaps because she hadn't yet adjusted to the time difference, she was becoming more and more awake. After all, it was still afternoon in California.
After taking a shower, she opened the curtains.
It was still dark outside, and the streetlights were still on. Under the dim light, some white fluff seemed to be swirling and dancing, slowly falling, but it was not very clear.
Zhou Zhou opened the window, reached out and felt the coldness on his palm.
It started to snow lightly.
It was almost ten o'clock when Zhou Zhou fell asleep.
Before going to bed, she heard someone talking outside, but she had been up for too long and her brain had no time to think. She pulled the quilt over her head and fell into a deep sleep.
When I woke up, it was dark again.
She was woken up by the phone.
Zhou Zhou fished out her phone from under her pillow. The bright light from the phone made it difficult for her to open her eyes. It took her a while to see the caller's name clearly and pressed the answer button.
"mom."
The person on the other end of the phone asked, "Are you still with Yangyang?"
Zhou Zhou hummed.
After she got off the plane, she called her parents and told them not to go home yet, but to go visit Chen Yiyang.
Zhou's mother heard her nasal voice and knew she was still asleep. She said briefly, "The snow is so heavy that the mountain road is closed. You should stay at Yangyang's for a few more days and come back after the snow stops."
Zhou Zhou was mostly awake.
She got up from the bed, opened the curtains and looked outside. A vast expanse of white caught her eyes in the night.
A light snow had just begun to fall in the early morning, but it had quickly turned into a heavy, fluttering flurry. The wind whistled outside, whipping up the snowflakes, making the glass windows vibrate with a subtle vibration.
Zhou Zhou responded, and the person on the other end reminded her a few more times to be careful, then hung up the phone.
She checked her phone and saw it was already 10pm.
She slept for twelve hours.
When I came out of the room, it was very quiet outside. I didn't see anyone until I went downstairs, and I could only hear intermittent noises coming from the kitchen.
Zhou Zhou walked over and saw Chen Yiyang standing in front of the stove cooking instant noodles.
Chen Yiyang turned his head and saw her: "Awake, little ancestor."
"Eat instant noodles?" Zhou Zhou asked him.
"Ah, do it yourself and you'll have enough food and clothing." Chen Yiyang said, "It's snowing heavily outside, and the mountain roads are all blocked. Auntie left after cleaning up this morning and won't be back yet, so all she can do is eat instant noodles to fill her stomach."
He has never cooked in his life, so it is not easy for him to light a fire and cook noodles.
He grabbed another bucket of instant noodles and said nonchalantly, "Zhou Zhou, I stayed here for you. What do you call this... sacrificing one's life for a gentleman, sharing happiness and hardships?"
"Then why don't you wake me up?" Zhou Zhou asked him.
Chen Yiyang said, "You must be so tired. We have a revolutionary friendship. I can suffer myself but I won't let you suffer."
He did wake up in the morning.
The driver came back with breakfast and asked him if he wanted to go down the mountain. He said that the snow outside was getting heavier and heavier, and the car was a bit slippery on the way back, so he had to go down the mountain as soon as possible, otherwise he might not be able to go back and would have to stay here.
Chen Yiyang called everyone up one by one.
When everyone saw that the snow was falling heavily, they packed up and left.
Beijing snows every year. Living in the city isn't so bad; the roads are cleared quickly. But here in the suburbs, where the snow can snow for ten days or even half a month, it's possible for the house to be closed for so long. No one wants to stay in one room for that long.
I was originally planning to wake Zhou Zhou up, but then I thought that since there was nothing to worry about, I might as well let her have a good sleep. At most, she could stay here for half a month.
Chen Yiyang asked her: "Have you brushed your teeth?"
"No." Zhou Zhou stretched and turned to walk out. "Crack two more eggs. Thank you, Chef Chen."
Only Chen Yiyang was here, so Zhou Zhou was too lazy to dress up. After washing up, he tied his hair into a loose bun and changed into comfortable pajamas.
She went downstairs and saw Chen Yiyang's back. She yawned and said half-jokingly, "I've been living with you for half a month since I came back. Who will say we're innocent when we go out?"
Chen Yiyang said without even turning his head: "When have we ever been innocent? But this time is different. All I can say is that living a good life for the three of us is more important than anything else."
Zhou Zhou was puzzled: "The three of us?"
Chen Yiyang raised his chin in one direction: "There are others."
Zhou Zhou walked to the sofa and saw that there was a third person besides her and Chen Yiyang.
Cheng Yu was wearing navy blue silk pajamas, sitting crookedly on the carpet, leaning against the sofa, with his long legs spread out casually, looking very awkward.
He held the game controller in his hand, and his slender fingers kept pressing the direction keys. On the TV opposite, the little man he controlled was fighting with others flexibly.
His hair was a little messy, and his half-closed eyes looked a little tired, as if he had just woken up.
Zhou Zhou looked at them for a long time before asking Chen Yiyang, "Didn't you say you called them one by one?"
