Chapter 164 Ultimate Cheat Guardian (Gong) x Chosen Working-Class Colorist (Shou) 25

The Shu family has a rule that everyone takes turns washing the dishes for a day.

Today is Shu Bai's turn.

In the kitchen, Shu Bai stood in front of the sink with her sleeves rolled up, carefully securing her wide robe sleeves with clips, and was diligently rinsing the foam off the dishes.

Li Yuheng leaned against the refrigerator, his gaze falling on the bubbles floating in the sink. He suddenly raised an eyebrow: "Xiao Shubai, do you dare to compete with me?"

Shu Bai didn't even look up: "What are we comparing? Who washes the dishes better? You'll definitely lose then."

"Who's going to compare that with you?" Li Yuheng condensed a small ball of dish soap on his fingertip, blew gently, and a bubble the size of a fist floated up. "Let's compare this and see who blows the biggest bubble."

Shu Bai turned off the tap and shook the water droplets off her hands: "Li Yuheng, how old are you? Still playing this?"

"What, you don't dare?" Li Yuheng blew an even bigger one, "Afraid of losing and disgracing your Pure Color Master family head?"

Shu Bai wiped his hands and picked up the dish soap bottle: "Let's have a competition. But there has to be a prize."

"Oh, there has to be a prize?" Li Yuheng leaned closer. "Tell me, what are we betting on?"

"You win, your debt is wiped clean." Shu Bai slowly squeezed out dish soap. "I win, you'd better be quiet tonight and don't chant any divine songs."

Li Yuheng's eyes lit up: "Deal!"

He immediately focused his mind, subtly adjusted his fingertips, and carefully blew out a bubble the size of a basketball, crystal clear, which refracted colorful patterns under the kitchen light.

"See that?" Li Yuheng proudly held up the bubble. "That's called a natural talent."

Shu Bai remained calm and unhurried, dipped her finger in dish soap, and gently blew air into the soap with a straw.

The bubble gradually expanded, but then popped with a "pop" halfway through.

"Your technique is wrong," Li Yuheng instructed, shaking his head. "It needs to be even, slow, and steady. Like this—"

He blew out an even bigger one, almost touching the ceiling.

Shu Bai tried a second time, but the bubbles were still not as big as Li Yuheng's.

He put down the straw and readily admitted defeat: "You win."

Li Yuheng let the giant bubble gently land on the top of his sparse white hair, as if he were wearing a transparent crown.

"Do you know why I was able to win?" Li Yuheng floated in front of him, her smile smug. "Because the Guardian God is the strongest at everything. Including blowing bubbles."

Shu Bai continued washing the dishes with bubbles still on her face: "...Hmm, you really know how to brag."

Li Yuheng squinted and reached out to pop the bubble on his head, splashing water all over Shu Bai's face.

"Are you implying something?"

Shu Bai wiped the water off her face and continued rinsing the dishes: "To be honest, you really are good at blowing bubbles, I'm not wrong."

Li Yuheng stared at his profile for a while, then suddenly chuckled, "Alright, you wait. Tonight I'll show you that I can play other things too."

"Besides bubbles and bragging, what else can you brag about?"

"you guess?"

"I can't guess." Shu Bai turned off the tap and dried his hands. "My imagination isn't as rich as yours, a young genius."

Li Yuheng floated closer and patted Shu Bai's shoulder with an air of seriousness: "Hey, don't underestimate yourself. You might be even better at bragging than me."

Shu Bai paused in wiping her hands, slowly turned her head, and looked at Li Yuheng with her eyes slightly widened.

He opened his mouth as if to say something, but then stopped himself.

Li Yuheng looked at Shu Bai's hesitant expression. His usually calm eyes widened slightly, revealing a rare hint of bewilderment. His ears turned crimson at a visible speed, spreading all the way to his neck, standing out against his pale skin.

Li Yuheng then patted Shu Bai's head in a serious tone, "Little Shu Bai, you have a long way to go, you need to keep up with your imagination."

He left those words with deep meaning, then with a sway of his body, he drifted out of the kitchen with a suppressed chuckle.

Why do people who smile a lot never lose?

Because the loser can't laugh at all.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

My innocent wife is hot and sexy, how fun!

After Shu Bai finished washing up and lay down in bed, just as she closed her eyes, Li Yuheng's illusory figure appeared at the head of the bed and he cleared his throat.

“I enter the city of sorrow, I enter the eternal torment… Above this gate are inscribed the words of despair: ‘Abandon all hope, you who enter this gate…’” His voice was low and deliberately drawn out, with a solemn, chanting quality.

Shu Bai didn't even lift his eyelids: "Change to something that helps you sleep."

Li Yuheng seemed not to hear and continued: "From me I enter into eternal damnation... Among them, the most sinful will be tormented for eternity in sulfur and fire. Their wails will turn into whirlwinds, unable to find peace in the eternal night."

"The deceiver is trapped in the frozen lake, the betrayer sealed in the icy river. Even starlight chooses to detour here, only the forgotten river... In the depths of the underworld, a three-headed demon chews on the bones of the traitor—"

After listening for ten minutes, Shu Bai finally opened his eyes and reached out to precisely cover Li Yuheng's mouth.

“Li Yuheng,” he said wearily, “you’re giving me a headache. Tell me, what will it take for you to stop?”

Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow and slowly removed Shu Bai's hand from his mouth.

"You want me to stop?" He smirked. "That's easy. Say whatever you want to me, but be sincere and from the bottom of your heart. Then I'll stop reading."

Shu Bai looked at him silently, a hint of something unspeakable showing in her usually emotionless eyes.

"Speak quickly," Li Yuheng urged him, the illusory figure moving even closer. "I'll let you sleep after you've finished."

Shu Bai sighed, a sigh tinged with a world-weary weariness: "Li Yuheng, you really are..."

"Hmm?" Li Yuheng raised an eyebrow, waiting for what was to come.

"Everything's perfect." Shu Bai read out a user manual. "Handsome, very capable, great at blowing bubbles, and fast at peeling shrimp. He can even recite poetry, though his tune is a bit odd. Is that alright?"

Li Yuheng narrowed his eyes, clearly dissatisfied: "Not sincere enough. Do it again, with emotion, and preferably with a hint of admiration in your eyes."

Shu Bai stared at him for two seconds, then suddenly reached out and cupped his face, leaning closer to examine him closely.

Li Yuheng was taken aback by his sudden action, then raised his chin triumphantly: "What? Speechless because you're stunned by my unparalleled handsomeness?"

Shu Bai looked at it carefully for a while, then nodded and said sincerely, "Hey, I see clearly now. There seems to be some dust on your eyelids. Shall I blow it off for you?"

"...You think you can bribe me with a kiss?"

"We can't let it go."
