Chapter 3 I'm blind, I deserve it
The one riding a horse was Yu Shengsheng's second brother.
The second son of the Su family, the current prince's companion, and a famous talent in the capital, Su Yanshu.
Su Yanshu turned over and got off the horse, looked down at the kneeling Yu Shengsheng, frowned, and stepped forward to help her.
"Shengsheng? Why are you kneeling on the ground? Get up quickly."
He grabbed Yu Shengsheng's right arm. Yu Shengsheng groaned in pain and subconsciously struggled and pushed.
Su Yanshu was pushed away, looking shocked: "Shengsheng, you..."
This little sister who was found later was as rough as a stone when she first met her. She could not recognize a few words and did not even know how to hold a brush.
It was he who held her hand and taught her to write her own name and the names of her entire family, stroke by stroke.
Now, you don’t let him touch you and want to push him?
Su Yanshu's face darkened slightly. He followed the path of a civil servant. Although he did not have as strong aura as Su Dingqin, he was the second son of the general's mansion and was often by the side of the prince. The aura he exuded was intimidating enough.
"Su Shengsheng, are you blaming me for hitting you?"
Yu Shengsheng supported her right arm with her left hand, clenched her teeth and did not cry out in pain.
Is it strange? Yu Shengsheng thinks that it should not be considered strange, but rather a grievance.
She was not afraid of being beaten. She had been beaten countless times in the past thirteen years. But that time was different. It was her second brother who held her hand and kept saying that he would never let her suffer any grievances again!
The second brother was gentle and handsome. He was literate, could recite beautiful poems, and taught her how to write.
When she was a child, she was beaten. The more she defended herself in front of her adoptive mother who hated her, the harder she was beaten. Her second brother, who was well-educated and sensible, did not listen to her explanation that day. He used the hand that he used to teach her to write to pick up the whip and beat her until blood was drawn with every whip.
It also broke her heart.
Su Yanshu slowly stood up: "Okay, you are blaming me, then let me ask you, if it wasn't because you hurt Ayi, would I hit you?"
Yu Shengsheng raised her eyes, her dark pupils were as deep as a cold pond, her voice was light but cold, like soft, cold snowflakes sinking into the back of one's neck.
"Then may I ask Second Young Master Su, aren't you clear in your mind whether it was my arrow that injured Su Zhiyi?"
A sudden flash of shock and fear passed across Su Yanshu's handsome face, and then quickly disappeared into his eyes, leaving a dead silence.
"Shengsheng," Mrs. Su heard this and quickly stepped forward, gently holding her hand, "Good girl, let's not talk about the past. Mother knows that you must have suffered a lot. Fortunately, you are home now. Let's talk about it when we get back."
Yu Shengsheng was helped up by her and didn't even look at Su Yanshu and Su Dingqin.
As soon as I stepped onto the stairs again, I heard the clear voice of a girl amid the sound of wheels.
"Is my sister back?"
Three years ago, when Yu Shengsheng returned to the Su family for the first time, she met Su Zhiyi for the first time. She hadn't even seen her in person yet. The first thing she heard was "Is my sister back?"
That day, Su Zhiyi wore a bright red outfit, with her hair tied up with a red ribbon, revealing her handsome eyebrows and slightly upturned eyes. She wore a small sword inlaid with gems on her waist. She was full of vigor and vitality, and lived up to the emperor's praise of her as "a tiger daughter of a general."
That day, Yu Shengsheng was wearing a coarse cloth dress and shoes that were worn so hard that the soles were almost exposed. It was Grandma Wu, the neighbor, who sewed them for her again and again before she came. She stood awkwardly in the front hall of the Su family.
Like a weed, it grows among precious flowers.
I haven't seen Su Zhiyi for a year. This is the first time I have seen her since Yu Shengsheng was dragged away from the paddock that day.
She had lost some weight, but was still wearing the same red outfit, with her long raven hair tied up with a red ribbon. The gem on her small sword sparkled, and her slender boots were spotless.
Except for the wheelchair underneath.
She has hardly changed.
Su Zhiyi smiled and looked up at her while sitting in the wheelchair: "Sister is prettier than before, and her clothes are beautiful too. The Queen's treasured land is indeed a place for nourishing people."
Yu Shengsheng unconsciously tightened her hands, her fingertips pinching her palms. Under this gorgeous dress, only she knew how ugly the scar was and how painful the wound was.
Su Zhiyi glanced at her beautiful brocade shoes and said, "Sister, you must have had a hard time on this journey. Go back and have a rest."
Yu Shengsheng felt that it was not an illusion, and her tone emphasized the word "go".
One word was enough to fan the flames of Su Dingqin's already uncontrollable anger.
"What are you taking a break for?! Don't you like walking and kneeling? Then kneel here!"
Madam Su took Yu Shengsheng's hand and stood in front of her, her eyes red: "Dingqin, that's enough, she is your biological sister."
Su Zhiyi's face turned pale, and he forced out a miserable smile: "Yes, brother, Shengsheng is your biological sister, you can't punish her like this."
Madam Su was startled, and she shook off Yu Shengsheng's hand, ran to Su Zhiyi's wheelchair, leaned over and hugged her: "Silly child, it's my fault, I said the wrong thing."
"Sisters, you are all Ding Qin's sisters."
Seeing this, Su Dingqin's anger surged again, and he kicked Yu Shengsheng on the shoulder: "What are you doing? You disturbed the whole family as soon as you came back, walking and kneeling, just to show that you have legs, right?"
Yu Shengsheng felt like her shoulder was about to break, so she gritted her teeth and struggled to get up.
Su Yanshu held her shoulders and said softly, "Shengsheng, can't you just give in to your brother?"
Yu Shengsheng pursed her lips slightly: "I have already knelt down and admitted my fault, how can I be submissive?"
Su Zhiyi leaned softly in Madam Su's arms and whispered, "The ground is so cold. My sister's knees are broken. What should I do?"
Yu Shengsheng said softly: "It's okay, I am a lowly slave, I can't compare to Miss Su's delicate and precious body."
She looked up, her cold eyes were completely different from when she cried and explained.
"It was my fault that I was blind and hurt Miss Su. I deserve what I am facing today."
Su Zhiyi clenched her hands, as if she couldn't believe Yu Shengsheng would say that. She gently pushed Mrs. Su away and struggled as if to stand up.
Mrs. Su hurriedly supported him in panic: "Yier, sit down quickly. I don't blame you. I don't blame you for what happened back then."
Su Dingqin couldn't suppress the anger in his voice: "It's been a year and you still have resentment in your heart? How much do you hate us? We knew you were coming back and we were all here to welcome you. What else do you want?"
"Shengsheng, you have never received any education from an aristocratic family. The queen taught you the rules herself," Su Yanshu sighed, "This is also your good fortune."
It was fate, Yu Shengsheng sneered silently. The inhuman torture had devastated her. If it weren't for her strong will, she might have become a lunatic long ago.
Seeing her like this, Su Dingqin wanted to raise his hand to hit her, but Su Yanshu blocked him, frowned and shook his head slightly: "Brother, forget it."
"Don't let others laugh at you at the gate of the mansion."
"Brother, brother, please don't punish me," Su Zhiyi said in a weak voice, "Sister, you don't know yet, right? Grandma Wu who treated you well in the countryside is also in the mansion, waiting for you."
Yu Shengsheng looked at her suddenly, her ears buzzing, and Song's words echoed in her mind, "Go back to the general's mansion obediently, there is a surprise for you."
Grandma Wu was the only person who treated her well in the countryside. If it weren't for Grandma Wu, she would have been beaten to death or starved to death.
After leaving the Queen's Villa, she thought about escaping, even if she had to change her identity, but now she knew that she couldn't leave.
Yu Shengsheng got up from the ground and walked in. Su Dingqin's face was gloomy.
Her mother, brother, and sister were all there to welcome her, but she didn't know what was good for her and didn't even have a good face. When she mentioned that country woman, she was in a hurry to go into the house.
Humph, it’s really impossible to tame him.
Su Dingqin stretched out his arm to stop Yu Shengsheng: "Someone, take my cousin to the ancestral hall!"
