"Quick, let's go!" Nan Qianyue lifted her skirt and was about to rush out.
Xiao Chen grabbed her and pulled her into his arms, saying, "Give me another hug."
Ye Jian: "..." It's unbearable to watch.
He silently turned his poker face away.
Nanqianyue looked anxious. "Let me go! Your whereabouts must not be exposed."
Xiao Chen grinned foolishly; Nan Nan was ultimately biased towards him.
"Ye Jian, quickly pull your master away. If that doesn't work, knock him out." Nan Qianyue's expression was very serious, and she wasn't joking at all.
Ye Jian glanced at him sideways. Now that he had already said it, how could he dare to make a move?
"Xiao Chen!" Nan Qianyue was a little annoyed.
These guys are stronger than oxen.
Xiao Chen finally suppressed his reluctance and let go of her. "Nan Nan, we will see each other again soon."
Nan Qianyue glared at him and said dismissively as she walked away, "I know, I know."
——
Outside Xiankelou, Qin Yi dismounted.
The gatekeeper and servant trembled. Wasn't this Prince Anzheng? He actually dared to condescend to come to their building!
"This humble servant greets Your Highness. Your esteemed presence greatly honors our humble establishment—"
"Second floor, private room number three. Lead the way." The man in blue coldly interrupted the servant's flattery.
The servant trembled again. Prince Anzheng himself had an imposing aura, and even his bodyguards were so difficult to get along with.
The servant said in a trembling voice, "Your Highness, private room number three on the second floor is already occupied. Shall I take you to private room number seven?"
The man in green raised an eyebrow. “His Highness is looking for the guest in private room number three. Lead the way.”
The servant quickly raised his eyelids to glance at Qin Yi, his heart filled with even more panic. "...Yes, yes, I'll lead the way right away."
"Royal Uncle?" A voice came from behind.
Qin Yi did not move. The man in green turned around, clasped his hands in greeting, and said, "Second Prince."
The second prince strode up to Qin Yi and said, "Greetings, Imperial Uncle."
Qin Yi's cold gaze fell on his face. "What brings you here?"
The Second Prince smiled gently, "To be honest, Uncle, I've come to see Miss Nan."
Qin Yi's eyes darkened. "What do you want with her?"
The Second Prince was slightly taken aback, then smiled demurely, “Miss Nan was injured not long ago, and I’ve wanted to visit her for a while, but I was afraid of disturbing her recovery, so I haven’t gone yet. The fact that she can walk around today means that her injury has improved, so I came to see her.”
A chill ran through Qin Yi's eyes. "She doesn't need it. You can leave now."
"Huh?" The Second Prince thought he had misheard. He stared blankly at Qin Yi, his chest pounding faster and faster, because Qin Yi's aura was too oppressive.
Qin Yi gave him a cold, warning look, then left him and walked into the store.
As the second prince watched Qin Yi's retreating figure, his expression slowly shifted from bewilderment to malice, revealing his true colors.
He thought to himself, "So my uncle really has his eye on Nanqianyue, and he's even threatening me."
It seems he needs to hurry and ask his father, the emperor, for a marriage decree.
At the door of the private room on the second floor, Qingyi was about to knock, but Qin Yi stopped her with a look.
Qin Yi's cold gaze seemed to pierce through the door and see inside. He stood quietly at the doorway without making a sound.
After a long while, the old nanny's voice came from inside the house.
"Please forgive me, young lady, this old servant has fallen asleep."
Granny Wang knelt on the ground, feeling very guilty.
Nanqian Yue hurriedly helped her up, saying, "Get up quickly, Granny Wang. It's just a short nap, it's no big deal."
Wang Mama was still a little disoriented. She glanced at the tea on the table and tried hard to remember, "Young lady, this old servant may not be worthy of such fine tea. I'll get drunk after just a couple of sips."
Nanqianyue's eyelids twitched, and just as she opened her mouth to comfort him, the door was pushed open.
"Qin Yi? What brings you here?" Nan Qianyue frowned, her face showing considerable displeasure.
"This old servant greets Your Highness." Granny Wang knelt down again.
Qin Yi ignored her and walked straight to Nan Qianyue. His gaze swept over the personal weapons and teacups displayed on the table. The woman in green behind him immediately picked up the teacup and brought it close to her nose to smell it.
"There's no problem with the tea," Qingyi replied confidently.
Nanqianyue seemed displeased. "Is Your Highness here to investigate a case?"
Fortunately, Yan Bo was meticulous and changed the tea early on.
Qingyi immediately sensed something was wrong and quickly tried to explain, "Miss Nan, the Prince was worried about your health, so... he came uninvited."
Yes, what he said is probably correct.
Nan Qianyue gave a perfunctory smile, "Your Highness is too kind, I am very kind."
"Is that so?" Qin Yi slowly moved his toes toward her.
"What are you doing?" Nanqianyue instinctively backed away.
The woman in green's eyes widened in shock. She hurriedly pulled Granny Wang away from the private room, making sure to close the door behind her.
Under pressure, Granny Wang could only stomp her feet in frustration.
Nanqianyue was pinned against the wall, and she put her palm against Qin Yi's chest to prevent him from getting any closer.
"What exactly do you want?" Nan Qianyue raised her voice.
Qin Yi looked at her quietly, the curve of his eyebrows growing wider and wider. Suddenly, he gripped Nan Qianyue's waist tightly and lifted her up, while leaning down at the same time.
"Let me go!" Nan Qianyue struggled desperately.
However, Qin Yi didn't do anything more than sniff her neck.
He sniffed twice, then raised his head, but his eyes were filled with darkness.
Nanqianyue didn't notice his change and just thought he was acting crazy.
"Your Highness might as well state your purpose, instead of remaining silent."
Qin Yi stared into her eyes and asked, "Have you seen anyone else?"
"Who else? Who does Your Highness think I should see?" Nan Qianyue was a professional actress; her beautiful eyes reflected nothing but Qin Yi's unreasonable behavior.
