Qin Yi chuckled softly, but the smile didn't reach his eyes; instead, he looked sinister. "There are many unscrupulous people out there; you'd better stay home as much as possible."
Nanqianyue smiled insincerely and said, "Yes, that's exactly what happened."
Qin Yi smiled again, but his smile contained anger. He squeezed out the words in a low voice, "Those who commit treason are not like this."
"What was it like?" Nanqianyue blurted out.
But she regretted it as soon as she asked; she was all too familiar with the madness in Qin Yi's eyes.
It was too late when she tried to escape.
She was caught off guard when Qin Yi lifted her up, one hand supporting her buttocks and the other pressing on the back of her neck. He showered her with kisses, swallowing her voice.
"Qin, uh—"
That kiss was devoid of any tenderness; it was more like a punishment, or perhaps a survey of one's own territory.
Nan Qianyue wanted to be freed by biting him, but Qin Yi always anticipated her movements and bit her first just as she was about to bite.
It bit quite hard, but there was no bleeding.
But it was enough to make the southward migration month bring tears to his eyes.
I don't know how long they kissed, but when Nanqianyue was able to breathe normally, her lips were red and swollen.
Qin Yi stared at her lips for a long time before speaking. He suddenly asked, "Is this what a scoundrel looks like?"
Nanqianyue glared angrily and opened her mouth to curse, "Pah! Only you are like this! Take your stinking hands off me, Grandpa wants to go back!"
Anger made her speak without thinking.
A slight smile appeared on Qin Yi's lips, and the frost in his eyes melted a little. If only he was like this, then so be it.
"Then I'll take you back."
"Who needs your delivery! Let go!"
Ignoring Nanqianyue's struggles, Qin Yi pulled her along, and as they passed a table, he casually grabbed a veiled hat and put it on her head.
Inside the carriage, Nan Qianyue sat in the corner pretending to be dead. Qin Yi remained silent, just watching her quietly the whole way.
It wasn't until the moon, swirling with anger, entered the Prime Minister's residence that Qin Yi's expression darkened completely, his dark pupils seeming to churn and boil with surging magma.
"Qingyi, send men to thoroughly investigate Xiankelou. No one should be overlooked, especially those who have entered or left recently."
"Yes, Your Highness, have you discovered something?"
Qin Yi closed his eyes. "The Crown Prince of Nan Jing has come to Dongling."
