Chapter 80: Ranran is your future daughter-in-law

"I heard that Miss Sun from Jiang Group is interning in this company. Is that true?" Lin Shurong asked.

Shang Jingchi was signing a document. He didn't look up and just said "hmm" casually.

Lin Shurong then asked, "Why would a liquor seller from the Jiang Group come to the Shang Group for an internship? Could it be..."

Lin Shurong stopped talking midway and looked at Shang Jingchi, the best son in her heart.

"Could it be that Miss Sun has taken a fancy to you?"

Shang Jingchi frowned but didn't explain.

Lin Shurong rolled her eyes and raised the corners of her lips. "There's only one Miss Sun left in the Jiang family now. As soon as Mr. Jiang leaves, the Jiang family will all fall into Miss Sun's hands."

In the past, she had heard people talk about Miss Sun of the Jiang family more than once, saying that she had severe autism.

How can a sick person take on such a huge business as Jiang's?

If the Shang family and the Jiang family were to marry, the Jiang family would definitely belong to the Shang family in the future.

Thinking of this, Lin Shurong was completely happy.

"Xiao Chi, since Miss Sun from the Jiang family is here, she must be interested in you."

"Mom thinks this is a good opportunity. Even if Miss Sun is not good enough, she has the entire Jiang Group behind her. It's better than your little star."

Lin Shurong sounded as if she was doing everything for Shang Jingchi.

Shang Jingchi paused his pen, raised his head and looked over here, saying unhappily, "What's wrong with the little star? She's your future daughter-in-law."

Lin Shurong was stunned. She didn't expect Shang Jingchi to refute her, but she quickly regained her composure, crossed her arms and spoke in a harsh tone.

"How can a mere actress like her be worthy of entering my business? Not to mention her, even the movie queen Xinya is not worthy of you!"

Lin Shurong was very emotional. After she finished speaking, she covered her mouth and coughed several times before her chest felt better.

Shang Jingchi's eyes were grim, and his deep voice suppressed his anger.

He said coldly: "Mom, you are too tired. I will ask someone to take you back to the old house."

As soon as he finished speaking, he dialed the landline on the table.

Within thirty seconds, Xu Yuan, wearing a business suit, stood in front of Lin Shurong in high spirits.

Maintaining a professional smile, he said respectfully, "Madam, I'll take you back."

Everything happened so quickly that before Lin Shurong could react, Xu Yuan took her out of the office.

.

Just after five o'clock in the afternoon, Shang Jingchi drove back to Xishan Villa after get off work.

As he passed the living room, he heard the voices of Wen Ran and Wu Xiumei coming from the kitchen.

He changed direction instantly and headed towards the kitchen.

The voices of the two became clearer.

"Miss Wen, hurry up, put the soy sauce in!"

"Ouch! Turn the food over quickly! It's going to get burnt!"

"Salt, salt, salt, no salt yet!"

Wu Xiumei's tone sounded so anxious that she was about to stamp her feet, and then he heard Wen Ran's echo.

"Auntie Wu, don't move. I can do it myself."

Wu Xiumei clutched her apron with her fingers and watched Wen Ran cooking from behind. She felt so tormented that she wished she could become the dish in the pot.

When Shang Jingchi walked into the kitchen, he saw a scene like this.

One was calm and composed, while the other was pacing back and forth anxiously.

Faintly smelling a burnt smell wafting from the pot, Wu Xiumei clenched her fists and shouted anxiously, "Miss Wen, get out of the pot quickly!"

"It's not cooked yet." Wen Ran continued to stir-fry a few more times.

She cut the broccoli too big, and Wen Ran poked it with a spatula, but it didn't move, confirming that it was indeed not cooked.

Wu Xiumei was about to speak again when she noticed someone coming in and quickly turned around.

Shang Jingchi waved his hand, and Wu Xiumei immediately understood and left the kitchen.

"Auntie Wu, it seems to be blurry." Wen said belatedly.

She picked up the small porcelain bowl that had been prepared on the side and poured all the water in it into the pot.

Hearing a low laugh from behind, Wen Ran was embraced in a familiar embrace the next second.

Shang Jingchi's voice, tinged with laughter, came from above his head, "Are you going to make soup?"

Wen Ran looked at the two-finger-high water in the pot and awkwardly changed the subject, "Why are you back so early today?"

On weekdays, Shang Jingchi would come back an hour later than now.

"I wanted to come back and see what you were doing." Shang Jingchi answered casually.

Fortunately, he came back early today, otherwise he would not have been able to see such an interesting scene.

Wen Ran was hugged so tightly by Shang Jingchi that her arms could not stretch freely to cook, so she wanted to get rid of him.

"Jingchi, you're tired after a day, go outside and rest first." Wen Ran deliberately made her voice sweet.

"No!" Shang Jingchi refused immediately, resting his chin on Wen Ran's head.

Wen Ran sighed silently. Shang Jingchi didn't want to leave, so it was useless for her to say anything more.

"Why do you want to cook for yourself?" Shang Jingchi asked as if trying to find a topic.

Wen Ran said without thinking: "Of course it's for you."

This was the first time Wen Ran cooked for Shang Jingchi herself. Before Shang Jingchi came back, she had been busy in the kitchen for nearly an hour.

On the contrary, after Shang Jingchi came back, she felt cooking became even more tiring.

After everything was done, Wu Xiumei brought the meal to the table. Wen Ran was so tired that he lay down on the table, gasping for breath.

Wu Xiumei looked at the food on the table that had no color, fragrance or taste and suggested cryptically, "Master, how about... I go and cook two more dishes?"

"No need." Just as he finished speaking, Shang Jingchi thought of something and looked up at Wu Xiumei and said, "Auntie Wu, go get the first bottle of wine on the left side of the first shelf in my wine cabinet."

Wu Xiumei didn't understand, but still brought the wine as Shang Jingchi instructed.

After opening, pour into a decanter and let it wake up.

This is a bottle of Pinot Noir produced in Burgundy seventy years ago, which Shang Jingchi has collected for many years.
