Chapter 12: Facing the Zombies

Chapter 12: Facing the Zombies

"If this is true, the goods in those two warehouses are totally insufficient."

After staring at his phone for a long time, Ji Huaiying spoke.

"I know. Before I returned home, I asked people to buy supplies abroad. There should be quite a lot of them, but we can't rely entirely on them. We have to prepare ourselves. As for weapons, Brother Huaiying, you should be more convenient." Ji Wanyi looked at the road ahead and answered Ji Huaiying's question.

"Well, leave the weapons to me."

"Also, I've also sent the news of the apocalypse to China. They should also take action. It's difficult to gather supplies domestically, so you should be more careful in your actions."

Telling the Chinese government later would indeed be more beneficial to the Ji family's actions, but the coming of the end of the world will affect the entire world, and preparing earlier will give more hope.

What's more, China is so big, all she can do is tell the country the detailed information.

The roads in China are much better than those abroad. The black Rolls-Royce drove smoothly on the suburban roads.

In the dark night, the warm lights of thousands of homes flashed through the car window.

"What's going on with your space?"

Ji Huaiying finally asked the question. When he opened his mouth, several loud bangs were heard in the darkness ahead.

Ji Huaiying was almost accustomed to hearing such sounds abroad, and even Ji Wanyi was familiar with them, but it was extremely strange to hear them in China.

"Shall we change our route?" Ji Wanyi asked, but before he could slow down, a man came out from the darkness in front of him and stood on the side of the road, motioning for them to stop.

"Comrade, there's an exercise going on ahead. Please take a detour."

"Okay, thank you comrade." Ji Wanyi thanked him politely, but his mental power had already groped towards that direction.

They were fine when they came, but they started rehearsing when they returned. This is too weird.

The moment Ji Wan released her mental power, she sensed the presence of several zombies in the woods near a village ahead.

At the same time, these zombies were surrounded by fully armed armed police, special police, special forces and chemical defense forces.

Even around the road where they were now, there were more than a dozen soldiers lying in ambush.

But unfortunately, despite their careful preparations, some fish still slipped through the net and were heading towards them.

Come to think of it, I'm afraid this is China's first action.

These soldiers don’t know what they are facing. The zombies nowadays are not even primary zombies. They move slowly and have not formed crystal cores.

This means that the weak zombie energy flows throughout the body, making it difficult to block and kill.

Moreover, these zombies have no life characteristics. No matter how advanced their equipment is, it can only capture living people. It is normal to miss some zombies.

Ji Wan shifted gears and put the car in reverse. Just as she was about to release the brake, she looked at the serious-looking soldier and said, "Hey, comrade, there seems to be someone coming over there. It seems to be a child."

Ji Wan looked clearly and saw that it was not a child, but half of a body.

Ji Wanyi turned on the high beam of the car, and under the illumination of the headlights, a figure staggered and stumbled towards the end of the light.

As the enemy approached, under the illumination of the car lights, Ji Huaiying, the young soldier standing next to the car, and the soldiers lying in ambush on both sides of the road all saw the enemy's appearance clearly.

It was an adult man with sunken eye sockets, half of his face was gone, and the area around his mouth was covered in blood. He was walking with his hands supporting the ground. His two legs were gone, and there was a big hole in his abdomen, with his intestines and some organs leaking out.

Wherever he walked, blood flowed, leaving traces of his movement.

The zombie's dark eyes stared at the little soldier outside.

When such a thing suddenly appeared, both Ji Huaiying and the soldiers in ambush were stunned.

"This... this is..." The little soldier who was stared at by him was almost unable to speak.

"Shoot!" Ji Wanyi shouted, and at the same time she controlled the zombies to prevent them from getting close.

Ji Wanyi's voice brought the little soldier back to his senses.

But how could they point their weapons at the people? The young soldier just took careful aim and then shouted at the zombies, "Who are you? Put your hands up and cover your head."

I should have told him to squat down with his head in his hands, but since he had no legs, I told him to raise his hands and hold his head.

The zombie was controlled by Ji Wanyi and stood still.

The young soldier shouted again and again, and raised his gun and approached the motionless zombie.

In this situation, they were not thinking about the zombies, but the ordinary people who were in critical condition and needed medical treatment.

However, in such a situation, how could the other party still be alive?

what to do?

If she continued to control the zombies, they would be injured civilians to these soldiers, but if she let go, she was afraid that these soldiers would be hurt.

Never mind, the end of the world will always come, so it’s better to let them adapt in advance.

Thinking of this, Ji Wanyi loosened his control and concealed his Zombie King aura.

In just a moment, the zombie returned to its frenzy and moved towards the little soldier with its mouth wide open.

At this moment, the captain's anxious and worried voice rang out in the earphones of all the soldiers.

"Everyone, pay attention! Everyone, pay attention! If you encounter anyone suspicious like the walking dead, don't hesitate! Kill them immediately! Kill them immediately!"

"Don't get close until you're sure they're dead! Don't get close until you're sure they're dead!"

The moment the captain gave the order, the squad leader lying in ambush nearby also gave the order to attack, and dense gunfire rang out from both sides of the road.

Bullets hit the zombies in the middle of the road one after another, but they had no effect. They could only slow down the zombies' movement speed, and the zombies were still showing their fangs and claws.

"Zombies! These are zombies!" Finally, a soldier who had seen related movies shouted loudly.

"Concentrate fire on the head!" When the gunshot was heard, Ji Wanyi was protected in Ji Huaiying's arms. Now she opened the car window and shouted loudly.

Obviously the soldiers also reacted and aimed at the zombies' heads.

Another round of gunfire rang out, and the half-zombie that had been shot into a sieve finally stopped moving.

"Brother Huaiying, it's okay! That's not right!"

As soon as Ji Wanyi felt the breath of this zombie completely disappear, he patted Ji Huaiying soothingly, but then he felt the breath of another zombie approaching.

At this time, several soldiers who were lying in ambush on the roadside had already walked onto the road.

"Be careful, it seems like someone is coming over there!" Ji Wanyi continued to remind.

Upon hearing this, several soldiers raised their guns and pointed them in that direction.

A helmeted figure staggered into the range of the car lights at the end of the road.

Looking at the familiar camouflage on the other side, the soldiers' vigilance dropped slightly.

"No! Why is he alone and without a weapon?" Someone also realized that something was wrong.

"Comrade, which team are you from? Is there anything wrong?" a soldier shouted.

After hearing the sound, the figure paused for a moment, and then moved towards the direction of the sound as if it had found its target.

"This guy is from Class 2!" As the zombies got closer and closer in the light, someone recognized them.

Just as a few people were hesitating about whether to fight or not, bullets came from behind the zombies, and dozens of soldiers with weapons walked out of the dense forest.

The soldiers shot at the zombies with tears in their eyes.

The zombie in camouflage uniform finally fell to the ground. The soldiers surrounded him one after another. The captain with the rank of major squatted beside the corpse, wanting to deal with his brother's remains and send him on his final journey.

Unexpectedly, the corpse suddenly twitched and raised its hand to grab the captain's ankle. Its strength was so great that its nails had already broken the skin and flesh on the captain's ankle.

The soldiers fired a few more shots at the zombies.

The captain pried open the zombie's hands, but saw that his camouflage uniform was torn on his calf and blood was flowing out.
