Chapter 13 Friendly Reminder

Chapter 13 Friendly Reminder

The captain instantly felt a chill spreading along his calves and throughout his body.

His face turned pale instantly and he fell to the ground.

He slowly raised his head and looked at the worried soldiers and said, "I don't want to become that half-human, half-ghost appearance. Brothers, please give me a ride."

"Captain! No!"

The soldiers who usually shed blood but not tears covered their faces and cried bitterly.

Ji Wanyi opened the car door, opened the trunk and took out the first aid medicine.

The car belongs to Ji Yingchen. With his body, he always has to carry medicine with him no matter where he goes. His car also contains medicines that he may need.

Ji Wanyi wanted to get closer with the first aid kit, but was stopped by the soldiers.

"Comrade, it's dangerous here, please don't come near." The young soldier's voice was choked with sobs, and he could hardly speak, but he still stopped her firmly.

"I know. I'm a doctor. I've seen this happen abroad. Please let me pass."

Ji Wanyi exerted a little force, pushed away the soldier blocking her way, and came to the front of the captain.

"Who asked you to come here and cause trouble? Get out of here!" The captain suddenly became excited when he saw Ji Wan appear.

It was hard enough to accept becoming a zombie, but as a soldier, he could not accept harming innocent civilians.

"You won't necessarily turn into a zombie after being bitten!" Ji Wanyi said loudly.

Now, everyone stopped crying and looked at her with hope.

"What's going on?" After a while, the team leader's car arrived.

"If you're worried, please control his hands, feet, and body. That way, even if he turns into a zombie, he won't be able to hurt anyone."

As soon as Ji Wan finished speaking, someone came forward and handcuffed his hands and feet.

Ji Wanyi then squatted down to treat the wound on his foot, while activating his healing ability.

"How can you be so sure that you won't turn into a zombie after being bitten?" asked the captain.

The leaders and soldiers who came over also looked at her strangely.

Why? Because the first time she was bitten she didn't turn into a zombie, but instead awakened her healing ability.

But that certainly can’t be said.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Ji Wanyi. I'm a doctoral student in medicine at Hans University in the United States. I've seen zombies like this in the United States. If you're bitten or grabbed by a zombie and don't turn into a zombie within five minutes, there's hope you'll survive."

"I saw a man in Country M. He was just scratched like you. After being unconscious for a day, he not only didn't turn into a zombie, but he also gained strange powers and became very fast."

"Hold on, whether it's a blessing or a curse depends on you." As Ji Wan spoke, the captain began to feel uncomfortable.

"Lin Qingyun, this is my name. Thank you for giving me more hope of living." The team leader said weakly.

Ji Wanyi has already helped him treat the wounds on the surface of his skin, and the healing power has also been sent into his body. He just hopes that he can survive.

"My suggestion is to isolate him alone." Ji Wan stood up and said to the leader standing next to her.

"Comrade, what is the probability of surviving after being bitten?" The leader looked at Ji Wanyi and spoke gratefully.

"I don't know either. I only saw that one case. It was during the turmoil in the United States at that time, and I was frightened by those things, so I returned to China. I thought it was a problem in the United States, but I didn't expect it to exist in China as well. Of course, I'm very happy to be able to help you."

"Ms. Ji, what happened today is unusual. In order not to cause panic, please don't spread it out." The leader reminded Ji Wanyi before she left.

"Please rest assured, I'm not a talkative person."

On the way back, Ji Wanyi was still driving, and Ji Huaiying was unusually quiet.

"Those are zombies? Wanyi, did you really just see them in Country M?"

Ji Wanyi's understanding of the end of the world still made Ji Huaiying suspicious.

"Those are indeed zombies. I didn't just see them. The only person who survived as I mentioned before... was me."

Ji Wanyi spoke calmly, but Ji Huaiying's pupils dilated again in disbelief.

"Wanyi..." Ji Huaiying looked at her with heartache and worry.

"It was just a miserable day, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Not only did I learn about the end of the world, but I also awakened my superpowers. I think it was worth it." Ji Wan smiled in response.

"Is that space your special ability?"

"It's not space. My ability is healing. That's why I said my brother will be fine."

"I opened this space after I awakened my superpowers using the Ji family's ancestral jade pendant. It can hold a lot of things. Part of it is even static, so it can hold things like food and medicine."

"As for the prophecies, those were my dreams when I awakened my superpowers." Ji Wanyi explained patiently.

"Don't tell anyone about this matter except big brother, including your special abilities." Ji Huaiying's eyes gradually became firm.

After returning to the Ji family, Ji Yingchen had already gotten out of bed and was sitting in the living room, making one call after another.

There was a world map projected on the living room's screen.

"Now that we're back, let's talk about our next arrangements."

"First, it is equally important to gather supplies and prepare a base for our own living."

"Once the apocalypse begins, even if China is prepared, the awakening of superpowers will inevitably cause some people to become restless. Kyoto, as the center of the country, will inevitably establish the largest base after the apocalypse and will inevitably be caught in the center of the power struggle."

"We can't stay in Kyoto, and with the melting of glaciers and rising sea levels, we can't stay in coastal cities either. In Province Y, on the southwestern plateau, our family has developed a villa area in a mountainous area three hours' drive from Mingcheng."

"It's almost finished, but it hasn't been sold yet. I plan to send someone over to renovate it and use it as our base."

Ji Yingchen kept talking about his plans.

It is indeed necessary to stay away from Kyoto.

They have made sufficient preparations themselves, do not covet power, and there is no need for them to stay at the center of the vortex all the time.

"Okay, there is still some time. I will go abroad tomorrow, and I need to prepare supplies." After listening to his elder brother's plan, Ji Huaiying felt at ease, and his plans gradually became clear.

"No rush. The typhoon is about to land. It doesn't matter if it's a few days late. We don't need to ask the doctor to come tomorrow. Once Hope Hospital has a batch of medicines, we can go directly to the hospital."

Hope Hospital is a private hospital run by the Ji family, which is just right for collecting medicines.

"Wanyi, how long will it take me to recover?" Ji Yingchen finally remembered to care about his own body.

"Brother, it's not difficult to heal your legs and body. One day is enough. However, your body hasn't been exercised for a long time. If you want to recover to normal or even improve to the strength of Brother Huaiying, you have to combine it with rehabilitation and training."

"In the apocalypse, the healthier your body, the stronger your awakened abilities will be, so let's take it slow."

"Let's stay at home when the typhoon lands in the next two days. I will help you recover your body functions and treat the injury on your spine." Ji Wanyi comforted him.

"It's okay, brother, don't worry, I'll follow your arrangements." Ji Yingchen appeared to be very calm, but his trembling hands betrayed him.
