"You!" The Duke of Jingguo was so shocked that he stumbled backward, his legs gave way, and he fell to the ground without any decorum. He looked at Song Yue as if he had seen a ghost: "How do you know all this?"
Song Yue looked around and sneered, "Does the Duke really think that everyone in this huge Duke's mansion is trustworthy?"
The Duke of Jingguo was so frightened that his spine went cold, his face turned pale, and he could not even speak properly.
Song Yue looked up at Yuan Fuling, who swallowed and stepped back. She couldn't believe that Song Yue had single-handedly turned the situation around.
"Lord Duke, she must have said that on purpose. You absolutely cannot believe her!" Yuan Fuling said anxiously.
Song Yue shrugged, and the next second she saw the Duke of Jing slap Yuan Fuling hard across the face: "Shut up!"
A slap landed on Yuan Fuling's face, and she covered her face, stunned.
Duke Jingguo, however, believed that the Northern Chu Emperor must have told him these things through Song Yue, otherwise Song Yue would never have known these things.
"Yue, Yue'er, I'm so sorry, I was blinded by greed. I will make sure you understand what happened today." The Duke of Jingguo hurriedly got up and scolded the old women who had attacked Song Yue: "Drag them out and give them fifty strokes of the cane!"
"Fifty strokes of the cane?" Song Yue raised an eyebrow, her eyes filled with murderous intent, which terrified the Duke of Jingguo, who hurriedly changed his words: "To be beaten to death!"
Upon hearing this, the old women were so frightened that they begged for mercy repeatedly.
