Chapter 30 Reversing the Situation

"Song Hengchuan!" Song Yue growled.

Song Hengchuan walked towards Ling Yi step by step, a bloodthirsty smile on his lips. Song Yue immediately looked at Madam Shen: "Madam Shen, you are inviting a wolf into the house. Do you know that the Duke of Jingguo's mansion has long regarded you as a merit to offer to the Emperor?"

Madam Shen's expression changed slightly.

For a moment, the room was completely silent.

"Say that again!" Madam Shen rushed over and pulled Song Yue up. Song Yue curled her lips into a cold smile and said in a low voice, "I laugh at your stupidity. You were used as leverage by others to give to the Emperor as a way to atone for your crimes without even realizing it. The Shen family has been withholding military pay, and the gold hidden in the Shen family is related to the lives of hundreds of thousands of soldiers on the frontier. The Emperor... although he hasn't mentioned it, it's just that the time isn't right. Your entire Shen family is in the capital. All the land under heaven belongs to the Emperor. Madam Shen, you are truly stupid!"

Madam Shen's expression changed drastically as she looked at Song Yue in disbelief. How could Song Yue know about such a private matter?

Moreover, the Emperor, the Emperor actually found out.

"Everyone knows that Minister Shen is honest and kind, and is the Emperor's most trusted minister. Does Madam really think he is trustworthy?" Song Yue's lips curled into a cold smile.

Madam Shen dared not question Song Yue, because everything the other party said was true. She immediately looked at Duke Jingguo: "You, Duke Jingguo, how dare you scheme against the Shen family!"

The Duke of Jingguo was completely bewildered: "Madam Shen, don't be fooled by this girl, she's just trying to fool you."

Song Yue smiled and said, "If I were beaten to death here today, and Madam Shen came to question me, I would be the one with the most credit."

Madam Shen was so frightened that she quickly told everyone to stop, and then changed her words: "Perhaps, perhaps it is a misunderstanding. How could the Third Miss, who is so gentle and weak, kill Ju Hong? You must have seen wrong."

"Mother?" Shen Ruyun was stunned, not understanding why Song Yue's few words had made her mother change her address.

Madam Shen gave Shen Ruyun a look, signaling her not to say anything more. Shen Ruyun had no choice but to shut up. Then Madam Shen looked at the Grand Madam and said, "Third Miss may have been wronged in some matters, and the servants may not be reliable either."

The old lady was surprised.

Song Yue slowly walked towards Yun Dong. Looking at Yun Dong lying on the ground, barely alive, she felt heartbroken. Her eyes flashed, and she quickly drew a knife from the side and, without hesitation, chopped off the head of the old woman who was holding Yun Dong in front of everyone.

Pfft!

Before the old woman could react, a head fell to the ground, splattering blood everywhere.

"Ah!" Everyone was caught off guard.

A scream pierced the sky.

Shen Ruyun was terrified and couldn't believe that Song Yue had so brazenly chopped off the old woman's head. Looking at the bloodstains on her face, Shen Ruyun felt a chill run down her spine.

Song Yue bent down and gently touched Yun Dong, discovering that all of Yun Dong's bones were shattered. Her eyes stung, and she forced back a sob, saying, "Just bear with it a little longer."

Yun Dong was speechless and could only nod at her.

"Song Yue, you're acting crazy again!" Song Hengchuan snapped.

Song Yue slowly stood up, holding a sword in her hand, standing in the center of the courtyard. She was covered in blood, and her thin and frail figure resembled a demon crawling out of hell. Just standing there, the murderous aura emanating from her body made people's scalps tingle.

"Yue'er, let's talk this out. Put the sword down." The Grand Madam stepped forward.

Song Yue looked at the Grand Madam and sneered, "If I don't die today, I will definitely go to the palace to file a complaint. If I die in Ninghui Hall without knowing why, I will make the entire Jingguo Duke's family pay with their lives!"

"You!" The old lady was intimidated by Song Yue's imposing manner.

"You?" Song Hengchuan scoffed.

Song Yue looked at the Duke of Jingguo: "If I weren't in this state, do you know what would have become of the Duke's mansion today?"

The Duke of Jingguo's throat tightened.

That day in the Golden Palace, he witnessed Song Yue's boldness and meticulousness firsthand, and also knew how much the Northern Chu Emperor doted on Song Yue.

Song Yue's gaze fell on Madam Shen: "Madam Shen, do you dare to gamble with the entire Shen family?"

Madam Shen's face turned ashen upon hearing this, still reeling from the shock of Song Yue's words. She swallowed hard and stepped forward with a forced smile, "Third Miss, please calm down. We're all family, let's sit down and talk it over. I know you've been misunderstood."

Madam Shen felt a chill run down her spine; how could she dare to go against Song Yue?

“Madam Shen.” Yuan Fuling was surprised by Madam Shen’s attitude.

Madam Shen glared at Yuan Fuling with annoyance. "Fool! Why can't you tolerate Song Yue? It's one thing for you to be jealous of each other all the time, but Song Yue is no threat at all."

Song Yue slowly approached the two maids who had just betrayed her, and placed her sword against the neck of one of them. The maid was already trembling with fear: "Miss, Miss, it was Madam who instructed me to do this. Please forgive me, Miss."

“You’re talking nonsense!” Yuan Fuling denied.

Song Yue glanced at the other person, who was also stunned, and pointed at Yuan Fuling: "Yes, it is Madam's will."

Song Yue sheathed her sword and looked at the Duke of Jingguo again, not even bothering to call him "father": "Duke, what crime are you going to pin on me?"

Duke Jingguo glared angrily at Song Yue, his lips trembling with rage. Madam Shen stepped forward and said, "Duke Jingguo, this is your family matter and has nothing to do with the Shen family. Farewell."

Madam Shen and Shen Ruyun were eager to leave.

"Madam Shen!" Duke Jingguo was anxious. He could only watch helplessly as the woman walked away. He leaned closer to Song Yue and gritted his teeth, "What exactly did you say to Madam Shen?"

"Minister Shen embezzled military funds."

Upon hearing this, the Duke of Jingguo's eyes widened in disbelief. Then he heard Song Yue say in a very soft voice, "The Duke of Jingguo's mansion conspired with others to try to install someone else in the throne. Wouldn't that be considered a crime of treason against nine generations of one's family?"
