Chapter 49 I Only Have One Daughter

No sooner had he finished speaking than a figure flashed past with lightning speed, kicking Song Hengchuan hard in the knee.

thump!

The person was kneeling on the ground.

Song Hengchuan was stunned, and his expression changed slightly.

"Mother?" Shen Ruyun reacted quickly, blocking Song Hengchuan's way: "My husband was worried about me, which is why he was confused for a moment. Please, Mother, have mercy."

Song Hengchuan came to his senses and couldn't believe that his mother would do this to him: "Mother, I am your only son!"

"The only one?" Princess Jia Hua scoffed. "I have never favored sons over daughters, nor have I ever thought that sons are more reliable than daughters. Song Hengchuan, I am in a good mood today and am too lazy to argue with you. But if there is a next time, don't blame me for turning my back on you!"

Princess Jia Hua was annoyed by the two of them and gave an order for them to be escorted out.

Song Hengchuan had thought countless times about how his treatment would improve after his mother returned, but he never imagined that Princess Jiahua would be so cold-blooded and ruthless.

He was helped to his feet by Shen Ruyun, and his gaze suddenly fell on Song Yue. He gritted his teeth and said, "It was you who instigated this behind my back again!"

Song Yue was taken aback.

"Slap!" Princess Jia Hua slapped Song Hengchuan across the face without any mercy: "How dare you slander Yue'er in front of me! I think all the books you've read over the years have gone to waste."

That slap was quite forceful, leaving five handprints on his face.

Song Hengchuan covered his face, both angry and furious, and said in a fit of exasperation, "Mother, don't regret this!"

snort!

He stormed off in anger.

He refused to believe that, as Princess Jia Hua's only son, she would abandon him for Song Yue.

Just wait, one day your mother will beg you to change your mind, crying.

As Shen Ruyun watched Song Hengchuan leave, she hurriedly said, "Mother, my husband meant well, he's just not good with words..."

"You're only marrying him for the first time, yet you act like you've known him for ages. Miss Shen, is this your good upbringing?" Princess Jiahua curled her lip, looking disdainful.

Shen Ruyun's mind went blank for a moment, her face turning pale and then red as she looked at Princess Jiahua, muttering to herself, unsure how to refute her.

"Get out of here, don't get in my way!" Princess Jiahua said without any politeness.

Shen Ruyun covered her face and ran out crying.

Seeing this, Madam Tao nervously swallowed. She knew Princess Jiahua was angry, but she didn't expect her to be so disliked by her own son and daughter-in-law.

Tao immediately understood that she absolutely could not get involved with these two people.
