"Don't force me to throw you down!"
Seeing his angry expression, Xiao Yao asked curiously, "What's wrong? Did your sweetheart give it to you?"
A hint of unease flashed across Xiao Yao's face, but he didn't answer her. "I'm really curious, how did you manage to get Zhong Xuyang like this?"
Xiao Yao blurted out, "He pursued me, okay!"
Xiao Yao chuckled, "Zhong Xuyang is quite cooperative with you, even his words are the same."
"That's how it is."
Xiao Yao didn't argue with her, and asked Xiao Yao for the first time, "Why did you two break up back then?"
Xiao Yao was taken aback. "You didn't ask Zhong Xuyang?"
He said there was a misunderstanding between you.
Xiao Yao was inexplicably angry. Zhong Xuyang had actually dismissed her with a simple "misunderstanding." "You believe him just because he says it's a misunderstanding? What if I told you he's cheating on you and two-timing you? Would you believe him or me?!"
"I believe him."
"Whose brother are you anyway?!"
Xiao Yao glanced at her sideways. "I don't know him, but I know you. If he really bullied you, you would have come to me to complain and ask me to break off our friendship."
The reason he trusted Zhong Xuyang was never because of Zhong Xuyang himself, but because he saw Xiao Yao's reaction when she met Zhong Xuyang.
To outsiders, Xiao Yao seems like someone who's fearless, but her family, including her parents, knows that she's actually a crybaby. If she's wronged, she'll act incredibly strong when she's alone, but once she sees her parents or him, she'll burst into tears and start complaining incessantly.
However, she didn't when she saw Zhong Xuyang. But when she saw Zhong Xuyang at the bar, her eyes lit up.
Xiao Yao was speechless, unsure how to refute. Although they had bickered since childhood, perhaps because they were twins, Xiao Yao understood her better than her parents.
She had no reason to accuse Zhong Xuyang of cheating, nor did she have any evidence to prove he was fickle. So when her mother and Xiao Yao asked her what was wrong with Zhong Xuyang, she couldn't answer.
She said sullenly, "Don't interfere in my affairs with him."
Xiao Yao scoffed, "I can't care."
However, when he drove the car to the factory, Xiao Yao immediately recognized the Mercedes parked by the roadside in the factory area. Sure enough, the next second, Zhong Xuyang pushed open the car door and got out of the car.
She abruptly turned to look at Xiao Yao, who was holding the steering wheel with one hand, not daring to look at her sideways. "Why are you looking at me? You're the one who wanted to come along."
