Her tears welled up again, and she tried to swallow them a few times, but this time the tears came too quickly, and by the time she turned around, they had already fallen.
The falling tears were like a switch being turned on; Gu Yueji could no longer hold back and burst into tears, burying her face in her arms on the bar counter.
"I just want a home, someone who loves me, cherishes me, and won't abandon me. I don't understand why everyone else has a home, but I don't. I've tried so hard, I haven't dared to slack off for a single day, so why don't I have one?"
Ren Jin got off the chair, went over and hugged her.
Gu Yueji buried her face in Ren Jin's arms and wept bitterly, each sob hitting Ren Jin's chest like a hammer blow.
He was someone who never uttered a word of bitterness, nor shed a tear in front of him, like a dam that had reached its limit and was finally about to release its floodwaters.
He patted her back soothingly, his heart softening little by little.
Every word she spoke was like a hammer, striking him repeatedly, conveying both heartache and deep empathy.
There was a time when he asked this question too. Lying on the grass in his hometown, looking at the stars in the sky, he asked, "Who can give him a home?"
This longing is like a seed buried in the soil. At first, you're full of anticipation, watering it every day, squatting beside it watching intently, imagining when the seed will sprout, blossom, and bear fruit. However, as time goes by, the soil gradually solidifies, eventually becoming firm and hard, and your hope slowly fades away.
Eventually, you forgot about the seed.
She suddenly grabbed his shirt at the chest and looked up at him.
He looked down at her, and when their eyes met, she looked into his eyes and whispered, "Can you give me a home?"
Ren Jin opened his eyes slightly and stared at her in shock.
Her eyes held a deep longing, yet also a clear and unmistakable grievance despite her efforts to conceal it. "As long as you give me a home, it's okay if you lie to me."
This moment was like her final, powerful blow; the hard soil shattered, and the seed that had once been full of his hope was revealed once more, even giving him a glimpse of its potential to sprout.
Ren Jin couldn't help but feel a flutter in his heart.
Are you sure you want me to give you a home?
As if seeing the last glimmer of hope, she gripped him tighter and nodded repeatedly.
Her eyes were already blurry, but he wanted one last answer, asking, "Do you know who I am?"
Without hesitation, she replied in a matter-of-fact tone, "Ren Jin."
Ren Jin smiled, perhaps pleased by her tone, or perhaps having gotten the answer he wanted. He touched his lips and said, "Give me a kiss, and I'll give it to you."
Gu Yueji was like a child who had been tricked into giving her candy; the next moment, she wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a kiss.
Ren Jin held her in his arms and took the cherry he had been longing for all night into his mouth.
With a gentle bite and lick, it tastes just as sweet as I imagined.
He held her close, ignoring the commotion and cheers from the people in the bar, pressing the back of her head with one hand and wrapping his other arm around her, kissing her and not wanting to let go.
Ren Jin thought that this cherry had a high alcohol content, and he even felt a little drunk. A joyful thrill welled up from the bottom of his heart, making his whole body feel hot and excited.
When the kiss became somewhat out of control, Ren Jin picked up Gu Yueji and prepared to leave, which was met with enthusiastic applause.
For a moment, Ren Jin felt as if he were holding a bride and being escorted into the bridal chamber by the guests.
Looking down at the person nestled obediently in his arms, arms wrapped around his neck, he said to the bartender at the bar:
"Give everyone here a drink and put it on my card." After saying that, Ren Jin carried the person away.
Gu Yueji was drunk and kept hugging him, complaining that she was hot, while rubbing her chest against him.
Ren Jin had already been aroused by her. He originally planned to wait until he got home, but when he arrived at the dimly lit underground parking lot, he couldn't resist anymore. He put her in the back seat, followed her in, and closed the door.
As soon as Ren Jin entered, he pulled her into his arms and began a deep kiss, gently rubbing her waist with his hand. "Has he touched you?"
Gu Yueji, slightly drunk, pushed Ren Jin away and glared at him resentfully, as if blaming him for bringing up the most sensitive topic. "He has a boyfriend. Do you think he would touch me?"
After asking the question, Ren Jin realized it was both unnecessary and funny. However, considering that they were already discussing marriage and who knows how things might develop, he felt a little foolish and jealous.
He lifted the person up and sat them on his lap, his actions becoming increasingly unrestrained. "It's good that you're not. I'll take care of you from now on."
Whether she was drunk or also yearning, Gu Yueji did not stop Ren from taking a step further and even actively catered to him.
They've always been in sync in this regard, and with the heightened emotions tonight, plus the sheer excitement of being in the car for the first time, they both reached climax quickly.
Ren Jin, panting, quickly wiped Gu Yueji down and then dressed her.
Gu Yueji still felt the lingering effects of the moment, but as soon as Ren Jin left, she felt empty and restless, and in a daze, she grabbed him.
Ren Jin was clearly not satisfied. He covered her with his coat and leaned down to kiss her lips soothingly. "You rest for a while. We'll continue when we get home."
