His words made it sound like they were going back to the same home together. Xiao Yao felt he was acting like a child today and was willing to play along. "Okay, let's go."
Xiao Yao deliberately slowed down because the apartment complex she rented was very close to the factory, only a 10-minute drive away, while Zhong Xuyang's home was much farther away, taking more than half an hour. So she accompanied him for a while longer.
"Do you remember what day it is next weekend?" Zhong Xuyang suddenly asked.
Xiao Yao smiled and thought that this person was not going to stay with her, so she deliberately asked, "I don't know, what special day?"

Unexpectedly, Zhong Xuyang said, "I just want to introduce you to my friends, let them meet you, and you can learn more about me from them. What do you think?"
Xiao Yao blinked. Was Zhong Xuyang trying to bring her into his circle?
Stopping at a red light, "What kind of understanding is this? Your friends will definitely say nice things about you."
Zhong Xuyang frankly admitted, "I just want you to hear more of my good points."
Xiao Yao laughed, "Aren't you going to try to hide it at all?"
He said matter-of-factly, "I'm pursuing you openly and honestly, what's there to hide?"
Xiao Yao smiled, but since their relationship wasn't officially confirmed yet, she was hesitant and worried about the awkwardness if her friends asked.
Seeing that Xiao Yao didn't speak, Zhong Xuyang didn't force her. "I want you to spend my once-a-year birthday with me. If you really don't want to, I'll cancel the party and come to G City to find you, okay?"
"Your friends have already made all the arrangements for you, don't be such a spoilsport."
"Then please come back? I'll drive to pick you up."
Xiao Yao wasn't the type to be conflicted or awkward. She wanted to make him happy on his birthday, so she said, "No need, I'll take the high-speed train back by myself."
Zhong Xuyang immediately replied, "Okay, do you want to come back Friday night or Saturday morning? I'll book your ticket and pick you up at the station."
"Friday night, I'll take the last bus."
"Okay, I remember your ID card, I'll order it for you."
