Gu Yueji dozed off again, but when she woke up, she felt exhausted. The construction site was almost never quiet. Even when she was asleep, she could still faintly hear all sorts of unknown sounds. She couldn't help but feel sorry for Ren Jin and wondered how he usually rested here.
After getting up and changing her clothes, she sat on the bed for a while. Seeing that Ren Jin's room was a bit messy, she got up and tidied it up for him. After finishing, she saw that it was almost time to go home. As she hesitated whether to wait for Ren Jin to come back before leaving, he pushed open the door and came in.
"You're up."
"You're back."
The two spoke at the same time, and then laughed at the same time.
Gu Yueji walked over and naturally threw herself into Ren Jin's arms. On such a chilly morning, he had come back to find her, looking travel-worn, which made her inexplicably flutter.
"Are you hungry?" His low, husky voice was in my ear.
Gu Yueji smelled his familiar scent, "A little."
"Then I'll take you out for breakfast."
Gu Yueji was about to nod when they stood at the doorway of the room. From her angle, she could see a row of glass windows in the dining hall, and Zhu Xiaohong was staring at them through one of the windows, her eyes filled with an inexplicable resentment.
She suddenly suggested, "Can I have breakfast in your cafeteria?"
Ren Jin was taken aback, pushed her away, and looked down to examine the food closely. "The food in the canteen is so-so."
"It's okay, I'm not some rich heiress, and I just want to try the food you usually eat."
Ren Jin could sense her odd behavior, but he thought it was perfectly acceptable. "Okay, go ahead and eat if you want."
Then he led the person into the dining hall openly and legitimately.
