Chapter 12 Cousin

"Dear ladies, since so many of you have asked about my ex-boyfriend, I'll address this here. My ex-boyfriend and I broke up six months ago. He's started a new life and won't be appearing in the live streams or involved in anything related to our shop anymore. However, I will continue to wholeheartedly recommend our clothes. I can guarantee that the quality of the clothes and the shop's service will remain the same as always. I believe you've all felt that we haven't changed in the past six months. In any case, I sincerely thank you all for your continued support."

After Gu Yueji finished speaking, people immediately started asking questions in the comments section.

"You really broke up? I thought you two were a perfect match."

"I was wondering why the streamer suddenly lost so much weight; she went from a size M to a size S when trying on clothes."

"The clothes from this livestreamer are beautiful, high quality, and reasonably priced. I support them!"

"Are both the live streamer and the store owner now done by the same person?"

Why did you break up?

"Running an online store all by yourself and doing live streaming, the live streamer must be working too hard."

Looking at everyone's questions, Gu Yueji answered them one by one.

"Thank you so much for your support. Yes, I'm handling both the live stream and the store all by myself now, no one else is involved. As for the reason for the breakup, let's not talk about it. Let's only talk about happy things in the live stream, okay?"

"Work is a little tiring, but I don't think any job is easy these days. I'm sure your jobs aren't easy either, ladies. But I'm very lucky to have everyone's support. When I see that the clothes in our store are well-received, I feel very happy and accomplished."

At first, Ye Zurong may have been the one who encouraged her to start the business, but as she gradually devoted herself to the work, and as she saw the heartfelt positive reviews from buyers and the confident and beautiful pictures of them wearing the clothes she recommended, she truly gained a sense of accomplishment.

Just as Gu Yueji was about to continue introducing and selling the clothes, what bothered her was that someone still asked about Ren Jin.

"Who was that just now? Was it my current boyfriend?"

"His face looks so manly in that fleeting glimpse, he's practically walking hormones, I want to see him on camera."

"Is he handsome? I don't see it! Please appear on camera!"

Compared to Ye Zurong, Ren Jin made Gu Yueji's situation much more difficult, because she didn't know how to talk about him.

Just then, the bathroom door opened, and Ren Jin came out and looked up at her. Gu Yueji subconsciously avoided his gaze, fixing her eyes on the comments section of her phone. Seeing the constant stream of questions about Ren Jin popping up, she could only bite the bullet and answer them.

"He's not my new boyfriend. That was my cousin. He was just picking up a package for me. He can't be seen on camera."

Ren Jin paused, his hand still holding the takeout bag, and turned to glance at Gu Yueji.

She was glued to her phone chatting with netizens, not even glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.

cousin?

Ren Jin slowly unpacked the takeout in her hands, her gaze heavy as if she were lost in thought. Involuntarily, the image of the closet full of clothes in her room that she couldn't bear to throw away floated into her mind.

Finally, he gave a cold, mocking laugh, then lowered his head and quietly began eating his takeout.

Gu Yueji quickly ended her live stream and prepared to have lunch. Just as she logged off the live stream platform, Ren Jin took the takeout box she had finished eating and went out again.

Gu Yueji glanced at the time; she had left home earlier than usual.

When she said he was her cousin, he glanced at her, and his gaze was the same as when he saw Ye Zurong's clothes last time, making her feel guilty and unable to meet his eyes.

But didn't he not care that time either?

And why was he angry? What is their relationship now?

When Ren Jin returned in the evening, Gu Yueji had just finished showering and was drying her hair.

He glanced at her, placed the late-night snack on the table, and said, "I bought barbecue tonight."

Gu Yueji silently observed his expression, took the bag, and said, "Okay, go wash your face."

Ren Jin put it down and went into the bathroom. Gu Yueji took out the barbecue items one by one, with her favorites making up half of them. She opened another bag, which contained a ring of beer with a single bottle of cola in the middle.

She couldn't hold her liquor, so Ren Jin told her not to drink anymore and bought her a separate drink each time.

When Ren came out, Gu Yueji had already laid out all the food on the table and opened the beer for him.

He sat down and started eating. Usually, they would each be on their phones and eating on their own, but tonight Gu Yueji was acting up for no reason. She wouldn't take any food for herself, but instead tried to snatch things from his hands, like the beer he had drunk and the kebabs he was eating.

When she snatched the last half-eaten chicken wing from the skewer, Ren Jin looked at her speechlessly, "What? Does my saliva taste particularly delicious?"

She actually nodded, "It is a bit different, it smells especially good."

Ren Jin was slightly taken aback. She had never flirted with him like this before. He deliberately licked his lips and asked, "Want to try it out more thoroughly?"

Their gazes lingered, and she spat out the last bone from her mouth, leaned closer to him, and said, "Okay." Then her lips pressed against his.

Leaning back in his chair, Ren Jin lowered his gaze to Gu Yueji's face, which was so close to his. Her eyelashes trembled slightly as she kissed him earnestly with her eyes closed, but he sat motionless, like an outsider observing.

After he had looked at her enough, he picked her up and carried her to the room.

Ren Jin continued to torment her as always. Gu Yueji couldn't take it anymore and scratched several red marks on his back, pleading tremblingly, "Be gentle..."

Ren Jin became even more enthusiastic upon hearing this, "Go easy on me, call me 'brother' and let me hear it."

Although he liked to tease her in bed with various words, he never asked her to call him by any name. Gu Yueji immediately thought of what happened at noon and tentatively asked, "Why did you call me brother?"

He stood up straight, looking down at her, and said in a nonchalant tone, "Aren't I your cousin? Shouldn't you call me brother?"

Gu Yueji was stunned. She had been guessing and waiting all night, thinking he wouldn't care. "Are you angry?"

He gave a cold laugh. "What do I have to be angry about? You can say I'm your father if you want."

His dark, bright eyes held a smile, but more so, mockery. Gu Yueji struggled to get up and argue with him.

Who else could she introduce if not her cousin? If he's angry, he should at least tell her what their relationship is.

However, he simply held her down and launched a fierce assault without saying a word.

She bit her lip painfully, "Ugh... don't go crazy."

"Call me brother and I'll let you go."

I won't shout!

"If you don't shout, you won't be able to stop tonight."

Gu Yueji was enraged by him, "I don't believe you can stay hard all night!"

He chuckled lightly, "Alright, let's see who's tougher."

That night, neither of them admitted defeat, and the battle dragged on for an exceptionally long time. In the end, both of them fell asleep from exhaustion.
