Chapter 11 Applying the Medicine, It's Hard to Bear

Shi Yang's mind was in a daze, and she let him lead her astray.

She didn't know how much time had passed when Shi Yang felt a weight lifted from her body and let out a breath. The bedroom lights were completely off. She thought it was finally over.

This man seemed tireless, while she was so tired that her whole body ached and felt weak. She pulled the blanket over herself and wanted to fall asleep without a care in the world.

But she was wrong, because the man had no intention of letting her go.

He picked her up again, this time from a different angle. Shi Yang opened her eyes, tears still clinging to her eyelashes, and pleaded softly, "I'm so tired, let's rest for a while."

The clear moonlight in the night sky shone through the curtains fluttering in the wind, illuminating the man's handsome features.

The man's deep, husky voice came close to her eardrum, his voice filled with endless seduction: "Aren't you tired? If you were tired, you wouldn't be looking for male models. It must be because I didn't try hard enough before."

Shi Yang finally understood that this was his punishment.

As the first rays of dawn appeared on the horizon, Shi Yang was finally freed and fell into a deep sleep.

I slept straight through until the afternoon of the next day.

When she first woke up, her mind was still a blur, and the soreness in her limbs brought back the absurd memories of the previous night.

She felt as if her joints had been broken and then reassembled, and that her body, except for her soul, had run away from home.

It's all Ji Peiheng's fault!

Shi Yang's face turned red with anger.

Luckily it's the weekend, so I don't have to work.

Aunt Cui brought in a hot meal and said with a smile, "Madam, you've been sleeping for so long, you must be hungry."

Shi Yang's stomach was already growling loudly. She wolfed down a bowl of porridge and complained, "Why is there only porridge and no meat?"

Aunt Cui said, "It was the master who instructed me to do it."

Shi Yang's lips drooped. What did this mean? Did they even start cutting back on her food, clothing, and daily necessities?

Aunt Cui's eyes were ambiguous as she smiled and said, "Madam, your husband is doing this for your own good. He said you drank a lot of alcohol last night and were exhausted after a long night. Have some porridge to warm your stomach first, and I'll make you something delicious in a little while."

Upon hearing Aunt Cui's meaningful words, Shi Yang's face instantly turned red: "Oh."

Aunt Cui went out to cook something delicious, while she lay on the bed drawing design sketches.

Ms. Ji attaches great importance to the resort project, and it is the most significant project she has taken on so far, so she has put in 200% effort.

As she was drawing, Shi Yang suddenly realized that not only did she work for Ji Peiheng during the day, but she was also tormented by him at night, and even now, while she was resting, she was still working for him.

Even oxen and horses couldn't keep up with her plowing speed.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, and she threw the pen down.

I'm not drawing anymore.

He got up again shortly afterward, opened the drawer, and almost forgot to take his medicine.

They were in too much of a rush yesterday and forgot to take precautions.

Otherwise, just as Lu Qingqing said, someone might die.

She hasn't considered having children yet. She doesn't want her child to be born into a family where the parents don't love each other. She doesn't want her child to go through the pain of her own family of origin.

After a while, she got out of bed and carried her pillow and blanket out of the bedroom.

Aunt Cui saw this and asked, "Madam, do you need to wash it?"

Every step she took hurt her groin. Shi Yang pushed open the bedroom door opposite her and said irritably, "From today onwards, I'm going to sleep in a separate room."

When Ji Peiheng returned, there was a steaming dinner on the table, but there was only one set of bowls and chopsticks.

Aunt Cui automatically answered his question: "Madam has already eaten."

Ji Peiheng nodded, ate a few bites, and then put down his chopsticks.

He doesn't have much of an appetite every time he comes back from the company.

He went to the bedroom, but contrary to his expectations, it was empty.

On the huge bed, only his sleeping spot had a pillow and a blanket lying there all alone.

My gaze fell on the tightly closed door across the street.

The door opened, and Shi Yang was sleeping peacefully.

Ji Peiheng walked to the bedside, his deep gaze falling on her peaceful sleeping face.

The room was pitch black, but that gaze was as sharp and direct as a searchlight, landing on her face.

Shi Yang's eyelids trembled slightly. She was about to break down.

With a "snap," the bedside lamp was switched on.

Ji Peiheng pulled up a chair and sat down, looking at the person who was pretending to be asleep, and said to himself, "It seems that Madam prefers this room. Well then, I'll have Aunt Cui move my things over later."

Shi Yang's eyelashes trembled; she couldn't keep up the act any longer. She opened her dark eyes, looking as if she had just woken up: "When did you get back?"

Ji Peiheng didn't expose her, and continued, "How can newlyweds sleep in separate rooms? If word gets out, people will think we're having marital problems. I'll have Aunt Cui move our things right now."

Shi Yang said anxiously, "There's no need for that."

Ji Peiheng prefers quiet. There is only one maid in the house, Aunt Cui, plus her, making a total of three people. Who would spread such a thing?

Ji Peiheng smiled faintly, "So it seems you don't want to sleep with me?"

Shi Yang was momentarily stunned.

She really wanted to say that she just didn't want to sleep with you.

Ji Peiheng's gaze remained fixed on her face, patiently waiting for her answer.

She said tactfully, "Yesterday was too intense..."

After saying that, she felt a burning sensation on her cheeks.

But then Ji Peiheng got up and left.

He returned two minutes later, holding a tube of ointment in his hand.

Under Shi Yang's gaze, his hand slipped under the covers and easily grasped her slender ankle.

Shi Yang sat up excitedly, her eyes wide: "What are you doing?"

She instinctively tried to close her arms, but he held her so tightly she couldn't move an inch.

"You might be injured. Let me apply some medicine for you."

Ji Peiheng lowered his eyelids, his tone extremely calm, but Shi Yang's face turned bright red, "No, no need..."

Ji Peiheng raised his eyes, his tone casual: "You've seen it all, touched it all, and done it all, so why are you so shy?"

"I can do this myself."

Her relationship with Ji Peiheng wasn't good enough for him to condescend to apply medicine to her, especially in such a private place.

Ji Peiheng asked with a half-smile, "Can you see this? Or are you planning to have Aunt Cui come?"

The thought of Aunt Cui applying medicine to her sent a chill down Shi Yang's spine.

The ankle under the man's hand stopped struggling.

What he said made sense. Anyway, she had done everything she could, and refusing again would make her seem pretentious.

"Tsk, it's red."

Ji Peiheng sighed softly.

His gaze remained fixed on that spot, scrutinizing it repeatedly. His gaze seemed to have a temperature, almost burning her.

Shi Yang's face turned red all the way to the back of her neck. She felt hot all over, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

She remained in the same position, leaning back with her legs bent, the blanket pushed up to her knees.

She could only feel the pain, and because of the blanket, she couldn't see what was happening.

Ji Peiheng squeezed out the ointment and applied it to his fingertips.

The cool sensation suppressed the burning pain, and with his movements, there was also an indescribable tingling sensation.

It's so hard to get through.

My legs unconsciously want to come together.

"Don't move it, or we'll have to repaint it."
