Chapter 26 Shi Yang Disappears

Chapter 26 Shi Yang Disappears

Shi Yang woke up relatively early and handled some work online.

Lu Qingqing was exhausted from this business trip and didn't wake up until late morning.

While washing up, she said, "I'll go home for a bit later, let's go shopping this afternoon."

Shi Yang: "Okay, I'll contact you this afternoon."

After Lu left quietly, Shi Yang lay on the bed and drew pictures.

Time always flies when you're drawing. She got out of bed, rubbed her numb arms, and went to tidy up.

She had arranged to meet Lu Qingqing at 3 PM, and she leisurely put on her makeup.

Aunt Cui, ironing the clothes she was going to wear, said, "Madam, I saw in the forecast that it's going to rain today. How about I call the driver to pick you up?"

"No need to trouble yourself, it's more convenient for me to drive."

"Then please be careful."

At 2:50, Shi Yang had already arrived at the underground parking garage.

Just then, Lu Qingqing sent a message: "Honey, wait for me for half an hour, my mom is holding me up."

Shi Yang replied to her message with his head down: "Then I'll go up first."

She had only taken a few steps when she almost bumped into someone.

"Hey beautiful, where are you going?"

Two thugs with dyed yellow hair appeared in front of me, reeking of cigarette smoke.

Shi Yang frowned and walked around them.

But he grabbed her arm and pulled her back: "Don't go, brother has a great place to take you to play."

Shi Yang was so angry he laughed. Were these kids, who hadn't even grown their first hairs, crazy?

"This is a shopping mall, there are surveillance cameras everywhere. You are harassing women. Do you want me to call for help?"

Just as Shi Yang was about to call for help,

The two thugs chuckled, grabbed her arms from either side, and one of them covered her mouth with a towel: "Then you might not have a chance to scream."

Feeling that the person in their arms was gradually becoming still, they put the person into the car.

...

Shi Yang didn't know if she hadn't checked the almanac before leaving home, but she encountered kidnapping twice in a short period of time, something that most people would never experience in their entire lives.

"Stop playing dead, open your eyes and see who I am!"

Someone kicked her.

Shi Yang groggily opened her eyes and saw a familiar face: "Shi Xing?"

Shi Xing ripped the tape off her mouth.

Yang gasped in pain, the tape leaving a bright red mark on her delicate face.

Do you know why I tied you up?

Shi Yang pondered for a moment, then sneered, "For Shi Yue?"

Shi Xing snorted coldly: "You pushed my eldest sister into the water, causing her to be bedridden for several days. I'm going to settle this score with you."

Shi Yang's eyes flashed with coldness: "What do you want to do? I'm warning you, you're over eighteen, and you have to take responsibility for your actions."

"Today I'm going to act on behalf of heaven and teach a lesson to a bad woman like you. I want you to experience the same pain that Sister Yue went through." Shi Xing ignored her and roughly smeared the tape back onto her mouth.

Shi Yang simply couldn't reason with him. She couldn't understand why her younger brother, whom she had doted on when they were young, would hate her so much now that he treated Shi Yue as his closest older sister.

The car stopped.

She was pushed into a pitch-black warehouse.

The air was thick with dust, and the dark warehouse was like a bottomless abyss, as if it could swallow her whole.

She can't stay here.

Shi Yang took the opportunity to bump into them and staggered out.

She had only run a few steps when she bumped into Shi Xing, who pushed her to the ground.

Shi Yang groaned, her face turning even paler with pain.

Shi Xing glanced at his hands. He hadn't expected himself to be so strong. He moved his lips as if to say something, but ultimately he held back.

"You can stay here. I'll let you out when it's time. I hope you'll remember this lesson and not hurt anyone again."

The warehouse door was immediately closed. Shi Yang stood up despite the pain: "Shi Xing, we can talk about this. You know I can't stay in the dark."

Her voice trembled, tinged with helplessness.

Shi Xing ignored him, standing coldly outside the door as it closed: "My older sister is also afraid of water, but you still pushed her into the water. Don't worry, I'll let you out soon."

The last glimmer of light disappeared as the door closed, and the entire space was so quiet that she could only hear her own breathing and heartbeat.

The boundless darkness enveloped her, permeating every part of her body.

An indescribable sense of oppression squeezed her internal organs, and she felt like she was suffocating. She slowly squatted down, clutching her chest in an attempt to relieve the suffocating pressure.

She clenched her fists against her chest, too weak to even speak: "I'm afraid of the dark. Let me out."

...

Aunt Cui was preparing dinner; she had just received news that her husband was coming home.

He chuckled.

The husband is the same; once married, he doesn't want to be separated from his wife even for a moment, and he cut a three-day trip into two.

Hearing a knock at the door, she opened it and saw Lu Qingqing anxiously peering inside: "Is Yangyang back?"

Aunt Cui looked puzzled: "Madam went to the mall to look for you a long time ago."

"She's not at the mall; she's gone missing."

After arriving at the mall, Lu Qingqing was unable to contact Shi Yang.

She made several phone calls and searched the entire mall, but couldn't find it.

She knew that Shi Yang wasn't the type of person who would easily cut off contact with someone.

Aunt Cui analyzed, "Could it be that Madam went to the company or had something else come up?"

“I went to her company, but she wasn’t there. Even if she had something else going on, she wouldn’t suddenly lose contact with me.”

Aunt Cui panicked: "I'll call Mr. Cui right now."

She called several times, but Ji Peiheng didn't answer. She called Liao Nan, but Liao Nan didn't answer either.

Aunt Cui slammed her hand on the table: "Oh no! The gentlemen and their family are on a plane and can't answer the phone. Why don't we call the police?"

"Calling the police is useless; the police won't handle cases where an adult has been missing for less than 24 hours."

Lu Qingqing seemed to have thought of something and dialed a phone number.

As soon as the call connected, she burst into a tirade: "You surnamed Ji, I felt something was off about the last kidnapping. Are you going to use the same trick again? We're both adults. If you have something to say, do it openly. If you're so capable, don't try to undermine me. I'm warning you, you'd better hand over the person right now."

Even Ji Jinyu, with his usually good temper, turned cold after hearing her harsh words: "Lu Qingqing, what's wrong with you now?"

"Don't play dumb with me, hand over Shi Yang to me."

"What about Shi Yang? What happened to her?" Ji Jinyu frowned.

"Ha, still pretending? A despicable person like you, Yangyang must have been blind to have ever taken a liking to you..."

Ji Jinyu, unable to bear listening to her insults for so long, patiently asked again, "What exactly happened to Shi Yang?"

"She's missing, I can't get in touch with her." Lu Qingqing calmed down a little: "It better not be you. If it's really related to you, I'll never forgive you."

Shi Yue noticed his expression was off and sat down beside him: "What's wrong?"

Ji Jinyu pursed her lips: "Shi Yang seems to have disappeared."

Shi Yue felt a throbbing in her temple.

He masked his fleeting guilt with worry: "How could she disappear? Did she run into bad people?"
