Shi Yang's expression hardened. He went downstairs with the handrail and stood in the living room, staring at the doorway without making a sound.
"Hello, is anyone home? I'm from the property management. We've checked the circuit, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's probably a problem with one of your appliances. Could you please open the door so we can come in and take a look?"
The knocking grew more urgent, each knock louder than the last.
The knocking sounded urgent, and it seemed as if someone was kicking the door.
Those cries were like ghosts coming to claim lives in the dark of night.
Shi Yang was drenched in cold sweat, his body tense.
Just as she was staring intently at the door, her phone rang.
She flinched and almost threw her phone away.

"Yangyang, it's me, open the door."
A familiar, gentle voice reached her ears, and Shi Yang's eyes lit up. She ran to the door and saw Ji Peiheng on the electronic display screen.
She unlocked the door, opened it, and threw herself into the man's arms.
The man was soaked by the rain, his body cold and wet. Shi Yang felt that as long as she was near him, all the fear in her heart would be dispelled.
Ji Peiheng hugged her and patted her back gently, saying, "It's alright, I'm back."
Shi Yang was pleasantly surprised, staring intently at him: "Why did you suddenly come back?"
Ji Peiheng rubbed his forehead: "I've been restless all day, especially after you called me. I was really worried.
