Chapter 25 Martial Arts School

At first, Jing went to a gym, but when the other party heard that she wanted to learn martial arts, they kindly recommended a martial arts school to her.

Shi Jing searched online and found it looked pretty good.

She thanked the other person, took the address they gave her, and went straight there.

The martial arts school is located in a slightly out-of-the-way area, and the entrance is rather conventional and understated, with the four characters "Liu Family Martial Arts School" inscribed on the plaque at the entrance.

This martial arts school resembles a residential house, with its gate wide open and a square courtyard.

Shi Jing didn't go in directly; instead, he looked at the introduction to the martial arts school. It turned out that this was a martial arts school with a long history, having existed for nearly a hundred years.

As I watched, I saw a little girl skipping and hopping inside, looking very young, followed by other little children running in.

There seemed to be quite a few children at this martial arts school. After watching for a while, she stepped inside.

There were two small houses on either side of the entrance, and one of them was occupied. Shi Jing had just walked over when someone called out to him.

"Hello, non-trainees are not allowed to enter." Sitting inside the gatehouse was a young woman in her thirties, who spoke while glancing in the direction of Shi Jing.

Upon seeing the person, Shi Jing obediently greeted her, "Hello, sister. I'd like to enroll in martial arts lessons. May I ask if this is where I enroll?"

Shi Jing spoke in a gentle and obedient manner, which women found very pleasing.

"Little sister wants to learn martial arts? Did you come alone?"

"Yes. I can make the decision myself, and my parents have no objections."

The woman laughed: "These days, not many young girls want to learn martial arts. Why are you interested in this? You won't give up halfway through, will you?"

"I want to improve my physical health so that I can protect myself if I encounter bad people in the future," Shi Jing answered truthfully.

The woman nodded, and just as she was about to speak, a man rushed in: "Thank you for keeping watch for me."

"It's alright. Brother Yang, this young lady wants to come to the martial arts school to learn. Can you arrange it?" the woman said.

"Sure." Only now did Brother Yang have time to look in the mirror. "Young lady, what kind of training would you like to learn?"

Seeing this, Shi Jing went inside and stood in front of the long table. He asked, "What can I learn? I don't know much about it."

"It depends on what you're interested in. If you don't know anything about it, you can learn the basics first and then decide later," Yang suggested.

"Okay. Uncle, where do I pay?" Now that it was decided, Shi Jing planned to pay the money.

Brother Yang stopped him, saying, "No rush. You can get used to it first. You can pay later if you can adapt."

"Please register your name, age, and contact information first," Brother Yang reminded him.

Shi Jing took the roster and filled in her information one by one. If she didn't understand something, she asked Brother Yang.

After filling in the information, Brother Yang patted the woman watching the commotion next to him.

"Liu Jiuqing, take the new students to try out the class."

Seeing this, Liu Jiuqing stood up and casually waved her finger: "Okay, I'll go then."

She emerged from behind the long reception table and waved: "Let's go, little girl."

"good."

Upon hearing this, Shi Jing followed the person inside. After entering the gate, they went directly to the long corridor on the right, where a row of practice rooms were located, and many students were practicing basic skills.

Liu Jiuqing led her into the innermost training room and introduced, "The most important thing in learning martial arts is to build a solid foundation. These are all beginners who are just starting out. You can practice here from now on."

"Okay, Sister Liu."

"Wait here for a moment, I'll go call your next coach."

Liu Jiuqing gave her instructions and then turned to leave. She didn't stay long, only about five or six minutes, before returning, followed by an elderly man who looked to be in his fifties or sixties, dressed in loose and comfortable clothes.

"Is this the new kid you were talking about?" The old man asked, sizing up the unfamiliar face as he entered the classroom.

Liu Jiuqing smiled brightly: "Yes, Mr. Wu. Brother Yang said to let her try it out first to see if she can keep up, and then decide whether to stay or not."

Old Wu nodded in understanding. Their martial arts school is quite different from ordinary martial arts schools; the curriculum is not fixed and varies from person to person. Therefore, they don't recruit many students, and they don't recruit blindly. Martial arts training is hard work, and many young people these days rush in with enthusiasm but give up after only a few days. The martial arts school does this to avoid such situations.

After Liu Jiuqing finished speaking with Old Wu, he did not leave immediately, but stayed aside to watch.

In Shi Jing's first lesson, Mr. Wu first led her in warming up. The warm-up exercises were not difficult, but the stretching and leg pressing after the warm-up were challenging, as they helped improve her flexibility and balance.

This body is now fifteen years old, tall and strong. Although it's quite active, its flexibility is really not that great. During one lesson, Shi Jing practiced until her eyes were filled with tears.

Their new recruit class, including Shi Jing, only had nine people in total.

At this moment, Shi Jing was doing stretching exercises alone, while everyone else was struggling to do horse stance. Shi Jing's miserable state attracted the attention of those around her from time to time, and some of them frowned as if they felt the pain, looking as if they were in her shoes.

When the class ended and it was lunchtime, everyone finally relaxed with a sigh of relief, but none of them were truly at ease, and they all cried out in pain.

These people were not shy at all; even while they were still swaying, they warmly invited Shi Jing to have a meal together.
