Chapter 53 Mrs. Bai's Passion

"Mom, my drawing is super popular! Look, it's the kitten I drew."

Yun Shudai, who returned home with her mother in the afternoon, opened her tablet and was surprised to find that her account was all red, and the number of followers kept changing.

"While celebrities register accounts on it to post their daily lives and promote themselves, you've started drawing instead."

"What's the point of promoting a good work? Good works don't need promotion to gain audience recognition."

"Yes, yes." Mother Yun nodded affectionately and went to her study.

Yun Shudai felt that they should strike while the iron was hot and draw another one in the same series to maintain the momentum.

So I drew another scene with a kitten.

I worked on this picture until after 11 p.m., all for the sake of detail.

So engrossed was she that she missed her father coming home.

The next day is Saturday, and tonight is the day "Let's Go, Us" will air.

Upon waking up early in the morning, Yun Shudai started scrolling through her phone. She checked her follower count and was surprised to find that she had gained tens of thousands of views and followers overnight.

Yun Shudai was overjoyed. This was the first time she had earned a large number of fans through her own abilities, besides acting. She felt a great sense of accomplishment.

Because one thing becomes popular, it also makes the next thing popular; this is probably the heat cycle effect.

Today is a day off, and Yun Shudai doesn't plan to get up. She keeps her tablet in her hand and looks at the photos taken from her father's study, preparing to draw a traditional Chinese style element.

I spent the whole morning thinking about it before I finally managed to come up with a rough sketch.

...

"The boss found out. I've sent the documents and photos to your email."

"good."

After receiving the file, Bai Muyin examined it.

The photos all have dates on them, and many are clearly from a year ago. Apart from filming a movie together, the two didn't have much interaction, but their relationship is quite surprising.

The document contains a photo of Cloud Mom and Cloud Dad visiting the Jiang family.

The investigation was so thorough that one might have mistaken it for a description given by the person involved.

Bai Muyin looked at a solo photo of Yun Shudai on the computer, and it seemed as if that pleasant scent was lingering around him again.

This scent doesn't seem to be perfume; it could be a shower gel or shampoo, but he's never seen them before. The light fragrance is very relaxing. He wonders what the ingredients are like; if he invested in it, it might become a best-selling brand.

...

"I knew it! The Yun family's daughter would never do such a thing. What's this Jiang Yingdi's name?"

“The Jiang family’s only son. His family used to live on Wutong Street too. They played together when they were kids.”

"Oh, it's Old Jiang's son. When did their two families get engaged? I never thought of that."

Mrs. Bai put the photo aside and said to her son with a smile, "Second son, Mom thinks Shushu is a good girl. She's pretty and cute. Do you want Mom to set you up?"

Bai Muyin touched his nose and turned his head to the side; the answer was already obvious.

Seeing her son like this, Mrs. Bai's face immediately fell: "How long do you intend to drag this out until about marriage?"

“Mom’s marriage is a big deal. I can’t go out and find you a daughter-in-law right now. Mom wants us to get married because she wants to have a grandson. Instead of urging me, you should urge my older brother and sister-in-law. If they’re willing, they can give you one next year.”

“Son, I can’t argue with you. No matter what you men say, you can’t shut me up. I’ve seen through you. You two were just born to annoy me.”

"What's wrong?" At this moment, the eldest son, Bai Muwei, and his wife returned. Upon entering the door, they saw his mother's indignant tone and asked.

Mrs. Bai was even more displeased when she saw her eldest son and his wife: "What else could it be? It's because you two are all disobedient."

Seeing that her mother-in-law was about to lose her temper, the eldest daughter-in-law quickly hid behind her eldest son, pointed at her mother-in-law, and looked at the second son with questioning eyes.

Bai Muyin said with a smile, "Is it because you guys didn't give her a grandson?"

The eldest couple found this topic awkward, so they quickly coughed lightly and said, "Mom, Uncle's family has arrived."

After hearing this, Mrs. Bai quickly went upstairs to change her clothes.

The Bai family has a family rule that there is a family dinner once a month, and today is the day of the dinner.
