Chapter 159 Mother, This is Yang Liu

Bian Yanzhi smiled but didn't say anything, so Zhuzhu had no choice but to follow behind her and walk with her towards Furong Garden.

In the past, when Sang Jiang was alive, the First Madam always directed her anger at Sang Jiang. Now that Sang Jiang is gone, she starts taking it out on her young mistress. It's really pitiful for her young mistress; her parents died early, and she has no other relatives besides the Sang family.

Nowadays, when you're under someone's roof, how can you not bow your head?

Furong Garden.

Upon hearing that Sang Yun had returned, the First Madam hurriedly got up and went outside, where she happened to run into Bian Yanzhi, who had come to pay her respects.

Bian Yanzhi looked at the First Madam and smiled politely, saying, "Aunt."

The First Madam nodded, putting away her anxious demeanor, and replied with an air of authority, "What is it?"

Bian Yanzhi bowed and said, "Yanzhi has come to pay her respects."

After she finished speaking, she couldn't help but cough.

The First Madam glanced at her and waved her hand: "Alright, alright, get up. It's annoying to see you looking sickly all the time."

Bian Yanzhi nodded and stood up with Zhuzhu's help.

The First Madam glanced at her and said, "Yun'er is back. Come with me to greet her."

Bian Yanzhi nodded: "I'll do whatever my aunt says."

"Um."

As she spoke, the First Madam took the lead and walked to the front.

Following behind the First Madam, Bian Yanzhi couldn't help but curl the corners of her lips into a smile. She was about to see her cousin Yun, and her heart was pounding faster.

"Yun'er!" The First Madam looked at Sang Yun and spoke with a smile.

"Mother!" Sang Yun clasped her hands in greeting.

"Quick, let your mother see if you've lost weight." The First Madam pulled Sang Yun aside and scrutinized her for a while.

"Mom! I'm not a child anymore!"

"Cousin Yun." Bian Yanzhi stepped forward and curtsied with a smile.

"Yanzhi." Sang Yun smiled and patted her head. "How have you been feeling lately?"

Bian Yanzhi lowered her head, her earlobes slightly red: "Thank you for your concern, Cousin Yun. I'm much better now."

"That's good." Sang Yun nodded.

"Alright, since you're here, sit down and eat. Go and invite the Third Miss and the concubine over," Sang Hongfu instructed the servant beside him.

The First Madam wanted to ask her why she had invited them, but thinking of Sang Jiang's matter, she opened her mouth but then closed it again.

She looked around in frustration, about to vent her anger on Bian Yanzhi, when she saw Yang Liu sit down next to Sang Yun. She slammed her hand on the table with a "bang": "How dare you! Who told you to sit down!"

Yang Liu didn't realize at first that the First Madam was talking about her, so she just kept her head down and didn't say anything until she felt everyone's eyes on her and then she realized what was going on.

She rose and respectfully curtsied to the First Madam: "Madam."

"I've never seen her before, which courtyard does she live in? She has absolutely no manners!" The First Madam scolded the group sternly.

Yang Liu looked up at the way everyone was looking at her, and tears began to fall down her cheeks.

Sang Yun stepped forward and pulled Yang Liu behind her: "Mother, this is Yang Liu."

The First Madam glanced at him: "What do you mean?"

“I brought her back from Yancheng. Her parents have both passed away. I felt sorry for her and was going to find her a job.”

Just as the First Madam was about to say something more, Sang Hongfu interrupted her.

"Alright! Isn't the house messy enough already?!" Sang Hongfu slammed his hand on the table and shouted.

The First Madam shut her mouth and dared not speak again, and Sang Yun also pulled Yang Liu aside.

Bian Yanzhi frowned slightly as she looked at the two of them.
