Chapter 161 Sang Yan's Decision

"What should we do? Go find Sang Jiang!"

"You go if you want, but I'm not going!" The First Madam rolled her eyes at Sang Hongfu.

“You! Liu Furong!” Sang Hongfu pointed at her for a long time without uttering a single word.

Sang Yun stood up as he watched the two of them: "Father, I'll go."

Sang Hongfu looked up at him, and after a while he nodded: "Alright, I'll leave this matter to you. Yun'er, you must find Sang Jiang."

"Father, rest assured, your son will definitely find your fourth sister." Sang Yun nodded.

"What fourth sister? She's a princess." Sang Rui muttered softly, head down.

"How dare you say that!" Sang Hongfu glanced at her, then stood up and left in a huff.

As soon as Sang Hongfu left, she became arrogant and domineering.

Sang Rui stood up and looked at Sang Yan and the Third Madam, saying, "I've always seen you two fawning over Sang Jiang, so you must have known about this all along!"

"Third sister, I didn't," Sang Yun said timidly, her head lowered.

"No? Then why do you keep getting close to Sang Jiang?" As she spoke, she reached out and pinched Sang Yan.

"Sang Rui!" Sang Yun called out to her in a low voice.

He didn't actually have much affection for Sang Rui. From a young age, Sang Rui had been scheming and ostracizing others alongside the First Madam, and she had no manners whatsoever that of a young lady from a prominent family.

"Brother! You're my brother!" Sang Rui stomped her foot in anger and ran out.

The First Madam said softly to the Third Madam, "Third Madam, you have quite the skills. My son will probably be calling you 'Mother' soon!"

After saying that, he followed Sang Rui outside.

The third wife watched the first wife's departing figure, her legs went weak, and she collapsed back into her seat.

Sang Yun glanced at her but left without saying a word. It wasn't until she and Sang Yan were alone in the room that she found her voice again.

"Yan'er, what should we do?" Tears streamed down her face.

Sang Yan walked to the Third Madam's side and hugged her: "Aunt, I want to go find Fourth Sister."

Upon hearing her words, the Third Madam abruptly raised her head: "You want to go find Sang Jiang?"

"Yes." Sang Yan nodded firmly.

If she could find Sang Jiang's father, wouldn't he look at her with new respect? And then, wouldn't her aunt be able to live a better life?

"But how can a young lady like you go?" The Third Madam tightened her grip on Sang Yan's hand.

How could she not know Sang Yan's intentions?

Sang Yan was actually no less beautiful or talented than Sang Ruo, but unfortunately she was born into the wrong family.

Sang Yan smiled and said, "Mother, don't worry, Yan'er can definitely do it."

The Third Madam pushed Sang Yan away: "Yan'er! You mustn't say such things. You should call me Aunt."

Sang Yan pursed her lips: "Mother! There's no one else here, so why can't I call you Mother? You have to take good care of yourself when I'm not home, and you must stay away from Madam unless necessary."

The third wife sniffed and wiped her face with a handkerchief: "I'm just worried about you! You've never left home before, and now you're gone..."

"Mother, look at this table full of food and wine, no one's eating. Why don't we have a drink together tonight as a farewell to our daughter?" Sang Yan said with a smile, changing the subject.

The Third Madam nodded: "Good, good, my Yan'er has grown up."

The mother and daughter drank and talked intimately, and by the time they got home it was already past midnight.

After helping the dizzy Third Madam to bed, Sang Yan packed her own things and went to Sang Jiang's room to take two pieces of men's clothing that she had secretly hidden.
