Chapter 82 Sang Ruo Enters Palace Intrigue Mode

She had just gotten up to call Kou'er when she suddenly felt the world spin around her, and her body went limp as she fell back down.

The pain in her arm kept her somewhat conscious. In her dazed state, she felt someone pick her up. Sang Jiang tried to open her eyes but couldn't.

The place where she was being held felt icy cold, and she instinctively rubbed her head against the person.

Liang Xuanyu looked down at Sang Jiang, who was rubbing against his chest, and felt a sudden heat. He swallowed as he looked at Sang Jiang's red lips, and was about to kiss her when a dart that came through a broken window pierced his butt.

Liang Xuanyu threw Sang Jiang back onto the bed, clutching his backside and yelling, "Who is it! Show yourself if you dare! You dare to ambush your grandpa? Don't you want to die?!"

In his haste, he forgot to control his speaking speed, and Kou'er outside ran back as soon as she heard the noise.

"Miss!"

The moment she pushed the door open, Liang Xuanyu jumped out of the window and left.

Kou'er saw Sang Jiang lying on the bed, her face flushed, tugging at her clothes. Startled, she quickly took two steps forward: "Miss! Miss, are you alright?!"

Sang Jiang hummed twice and ignored her. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk, but that she really couldn't say anything.

Kou'er quickly shouted outside, "Help! Help!"

Seeing the young palace maid approach, Kou'er hurriedly said, "Quickly, go and fetch the imperial physician!"

The young palace maid was momentarily stunned by the situation, but upon hearing Kou'er's words, she hurriedly ran towards the Imperial Hospital.

Sang Ruo rushed over when she heard the news of Sang Jiang's accident. Although Kou'er didn't understand, she, as a doctor, did. Sang Jiang was clearly under the influence of aphrodisiacs.

Her eyes immediately darkened: "What happened?"

With tears streaming down her face, Kou'er said with a mix of grievance and self-reproach, "This servant doesn't know either. This servant only went to the door for a moment and came back to find that Miss is like this."

Sang Ruo ignored her and instead took a serious sniff around the room, but couldn't detect anything. She then looked at Kou'er again: "Did she eat something?"

Kou'er was taken aback. After thinking for a few seconds, she looked at the mung bean cake by the bedside and hurriedly picked it up and handed it to Sang Ruo: "Miss ate this after she came back from your place."

Sang Ruo frowned, picked up a piece of mung bean cake, smelled it twice, and then threw it back onto the plate: "Who sent this?"

Her usually gentle tone turned sharp. She had always thought that by acting indifferent to worldly affairs, she could avoid a lot of trouble. She never expected that even if she didn't cause trouble, some people still wouldn't let her go.

The imperial physician arrived quickly. After taking Sang Jiang's pulse, he wrote a prescription, instructed a palace maid to prepare the medicine, and then left.

Sang Jiang felt as if she had fallen into Laozi's alchemy furnace, her whole body was so hot that she couldn't help but twist and turn her body, and she kept making some soft sounds.

Sang Ruo pursed her lips: "Go get some ice."

The palace maid responded and ran off to fetch some ice cubes, placing them next to Sang Jiang.

Sang Ruo took a deep breath, and finally gritted her teeth as she walked towards Chengshun Palace. Since they wouldn't let her have an easy time, why should she let them have their way?

She had always disdained competing with them, but she never expected them to go so far.

Chengshun Hall.

"Your Majesty, the Imperial Concubine has arrived," a young eunuch announced as he entered from outside, bowing his head.

Upon hearing the words "Imperial Consort," Long Jingchen's eyes lit up immediately: "Quickly, let her in!"

His tone was slightly excited, which made Yang Qi smile like an aunt again. He thought to himself, "I knew it. The Emperor is starting to care about the Imperial Concubine. I'll have to take better care of her from now on."

The eunuch who came in to report was taken aback by Long Jingchen's tone, so much so that he became even more respectful when he went to invite Sang Ruo.
