Chapter 95 How Can I Prevent Them from Meeting?

"You were following me?" Sang Jiang frowned at him, her eyes filled with anger.

Long Jingchen felt a little guilty for a moment, but he would never admit it. As an emperor, he was used to everyone revolving around him.

He glanced at Sang Jiang, then laughed angrily, "Me, follow you? What do you think makes you worth following? You think I need to follow you with your swagger?"

"Oh." Sang Jiang glanced at him a few times, then turned back to continue untangling her hair.

Long Jingchen: ? ? ?

"Don't you have anything to say to me?"

"What are you saying?" Sang Jiang didn't even turn her head this time.

"You left the palace without my permission and didn't even report to me? You think you've gone home?"

"Why do I need to report this? I didn't go without permission." Sang Jiang blinked her phoenix eyes and rolled her eyes at him.

Long Jingchen glared at her: "This is my palace!"

Sang Jiang glared back defiantly: "Then can you let me go back to the Prime Minister's residence?"

"Heh." Long Jingchen chuckled lightly: "Dream on!"

"Oh!" Sang Jiang threw down the last hairpin from her head: "Then what are you waiting for? Why aren't you leaving?"

Long Jingchen glanced at her and immediately lay back, looking like he wasn't going to leave and what was he going to do about it?

Sang Jiang glanced at him a few times and smiled. She nodded and said, "You're not leaving, right? Okay."

As she spoke, she pulled open her outer garment, revealing her inner garment: "Ah!!! Kou'er!"

Long Jingchen sat up abruptly, staring wide-eyed at Sang Jiang, completely taken aback by her sudden move.

"Miss!" Kou'er pushed the door open and came in as soon as she finished speaking. She looked at Sang Jiang and breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that she was alright: "Miss, are you alright?"

She looked around the room and when she saw the window still swaying slightly, she went over and peered out, looking at it curiously.

"Ahem." Sang Jiang coughed twice and straightened her clothes. "It's nothing. A black cat just ran past. Just close the window."

Kou'er pouted and scratched her head. She looked at Sang Jiang, nodded, closed the window, and walked back to Sang Jiang.

"Miss."

Sang Jiang nodded: "It's alright, go back and rest."

"Oh." Kou'er nodded, and left the room, turning back every three steps. She had been keeping watch for several nights when Sang Jiang discovered her and sent her back.

She liked being waited on and didn't want others to be unable to rest properly because of her. In fact, being a palace maid wasn't easy either. We're all human, so why bother others when you can do it yourself?

After returning home, Long Jingchen lay there alone, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

The thought that Long Jingyu and Sang Jiang had gone out together all day and that he had to carry her back in his arms made him feel like he had a stone stuck in his chest.

He didn't know why he felt this way. Was it because she was Sang Ruo's sister? No, he just thought she was very interesting and fun. It was just because he couldn't let anyone else have his eye on her.

Yes! That's it!

Despite trying to convince himself like this, he still couldn't fall asleep, so he simply sat up.

"Your Majesty." Yang Qi ran over in small steps as soon as he saw Long Jingchen sit up.

Long Jingchen glanced at him: "How am I supposed to prevent them from meeting?"

"Huh?" Yang Qi was a little confused.

Long Jingchen glanced at him and waved his hand irritably: "Alright, alright, get out of here. You wouldn't understand anyway."

"This servant..." He wanted to defend himself, but after meeting Long Jingchen's gaze, he silently shut his mouth and retreated to his previous position, keeping his eyes down and his mind at ease.
