Chapter 125 The Bear Arrives

"Second Brother!" Nan Wusi, who was about to make a move, was surprised to find that the person who came was his second brother, Nan Wuyu, so he called out and waved to Nan Wuyu.

"Little sister!" Nan Wuyu was also pleasantly surprised. He didn't expect that following the marks his little sister had carved along the way would actually lead him to her.

"Second Brother, come in quickly. Are there any pursuers behind you?" Nan Wusi asked while looking around.

"Not yet, but we still need to find a hiding place. Right now, these assassins have split into several groups and are searching for our tracks in the mountains."

“If they are outnumbered, I am still confident that I can defeat them,” Nan Wusi said.

"Of course I believe that, but I'm afraid the noise of the fight will quickly attract the others, so it's best to be careful." Nan Wuyu was still very cautious, and it was not advisable to have a direct confrontation with them now.

"Yes, I'll listen to Second Brother." Nan Wusi nodded in agreement.

After entering the cave, Nan Wuyu greeted Xiao Yi, and then Nan Wusi began to bandage their wounds.

Fortunately, Xiao Yi carried some medicine with him, so he could apply the medicine and then bandage the wound. However, since there was no good cloth around, Nan Wusi had to cut off some pieces of her dress to use as bandages.

After treating Nan Wuyu, Nan Wusi was about to treat Xiao Yi, but Nan Wuyu refused, since Xiao Yi's back was injured and his clothes would need to be removed before treatment could be given.

So in the end, Xiao Yi's bandaging was done by Nan Wuyu.

Before Xiao Yi's wound could be bandaged, Nan Wusi heard the sound of someone arriving in the cave.

"Oh no, we're trapped in the cave," Nan Wusi said to the two of them.

At this moment, Nan Wuyu and Xiao Yi's expressions also became serious.

The assassins followed them into the cave, and just as they were about to make their move, a bear roar suddenly came from the cave entrance.

The brown bear, returning from its hunt, smelled many unfamiliar scents in its den, so it roared to declare that this was its territory.

However, the assassins remained calm upon hearing this; a group of experts like them couldn't possibly be unable to handle a bear.

However, they forgot that there were still people they were chasing around.

As Nan Wusi watched the assassins fighting the brown bear, a thought struck him, and he realized this was a good opportunity.

This brown bear was exceptionally large and moved quite swiftly. It held its own against a group of assassins, and some of the assassins, caught off guard, were scratched by the bear's claws and instantly lost half their lives.

Nan Wusi thought that if she didn't seize the opportunity to reap the rewards now, when would she? So she picked up her knife and charged into the battle.

She first specifically targeted assassins who were difficult to deal with. These people were relatively weak in martial arts and posed little threat, but a large number of them could be quite troublesome.

By the time the expert who had directly confronted the brown bear realized what was happening, the rest of the assassins had already been mostly eliminated by Nan Wusi.

However, after being discovered, Nan Wusi began to struggle, because the remaining expert was no longer willing to confront the brown bear head-on, and instead intentionally or unintentionally lured the brown bear's attacks toward Nan Wusi.

Of course, Namo Si Da wouldn't confront the brown bear head-on. Instead, she used underhanded tactics, targeting the bear's nose, eyes, and testicles with whatever she could find, because she had previously read online that these were the bear's weaknesses.

Although she laughed it off when she saw it, she never expected that she would actually have to fight a bear one day. It was truly a twist of fate.

However, Nanwusi's attacks only further enraged the brown bear, without inflicting any truly fatal wounds.

After being provoked, the brown bear became even stronger and more lethal. Now, even the assassin and Nan Wusi working together are having a hard time dealing with it.

However, after glancing at Nan Wusi, the assassin chose not to attack again, but instead turned and disappeared into the bushes. He wasn't foolish enough to keep fighting off such a ferocious beast for his target.

After the assassin left, Nan Wusi felt immense pressure and had to be on her guard to deal with the enraged brown bear.

Although Nan Wuyu wanted to step forward to help, he knew that if he went up there with his own skill level, he would probably only become a burden to his little sister, so he could only stand by and worry.

"Nan Shaosinong, you must believe in Miss Nan." Xiao Yi spoke up from the side. He could sense from the brown bear's aura that it was already at its limit and was only holding on with a burst of rage. As long as Nan Wusi could hold on for this period of time, they would be able to win when the brown bear was exhausted.

Nan Wusi had also noticed this. The assassins had inflicted considerable damage on the brown bear, which was now covered in wounds and bleeding profusely with any movement. All that was needed was to withstand the furious onslaught that had enraged it.

As they had expected, the brown bear's initial onslaught faltered, and Nan Wusi eventually managed to decapitate it.

However, she was exhausted afterward and sat down on the ground.

At this moment, Nan Wuyu quickly stepped forward and helped Nan Wusi up, saying, "Little sister, we must leave this place immediately, as more assassins will likely arrive soon."

Nan Wusi knew that his second brother's judgment was correct; the assassin who left must have gone to gather others.

However, Nan Wusi believed that leaving now was not a good idea.

"Second brother, even if we leave now, they will catch up quickly, so we might as well stay here."

"But what if these assassins come and we get trapped like turtles in a jar?" Nan Wuyu frowned, not understanding why Nan Wusi would say such a thing.

"As long as they can't find us, that's fine," Nan Wusi said.

Nan Wuyu looked at Nan Wusi, still somewhat confused.

"Second Brother, how good are you at swimming?" Nan Wusi then asked.

“Not bad,” Nan Wuyu replied.

"Your Highness Prince Yi, what about you?" Nan Wusi asked Xiao Yi again.

"I am fairly good at swimming," Xiao Yi nodded.

“Then we can make a bet.” Nan Wusi’s eyes sparkled.

Xiao Yi already knew what Nan Wusi was up to, and chuckled, thinking, "She's quite a clever girl."

When Nan Wuyu saw Nan Wusi leading him to that underground river, he understood Nan Wusi's plan.

As expected, the group of assassins quickly gathered all their men and came to the cave, but they did not find Nan Wusi and his companions.

"Let's go in and take another look," the leader said.

So the group of assassins headed deeper into the cave and, sure enough, found the narrow entrance.

They also arrived at this underground river, but the river was calm and there were few people around.

"They're not in the river, are they?" someone asked.

"We'll find out soon enough." The leader stared sharply at the river.
