Chapter 151 Eight-Hour Work System (2/2)

Martina has restored the factory settings with a happy smile on her face.

She kissed Reiner several times, her horse ears twitching from time to time: "Honey, let's get up. I'll make the bed."

"Lie down for a while. I didn't get much rest last night."

Martina nodded and snuggled into Reiner's arms again.

After a moment of silence, she slowly said, "My dear, please don't leave me again. Although Noila Mo is not with you, I still can't help but worry. I... I'm afraid you won't want me..."

Reiner hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead: "Don't be silly, I will never abandon you, I promise."

Martina nodded, like a cow, and nudged Reiner's chin with her head.

The two continued to lie down for a while, and then cleaned up the room.

Just then, there was a knock on the bedroom door, and then Junice came in.

She glanced at the sheets piled in the corner, the corners of her mouth curled up slightly, and asked in a slightly teasing tone, "Is it over? Is it convenient now? I'll report to you on yesterday's income."

Martina came over, reached out and gently poked Junice's belly twice, then put her ear close to hers and listened carefully.

Reiner looked down at her and said, "Go ahead, it's not inconvenient."

Junice nodded and pulled out a Barnett gold coin and a few silver coins from her waist pouch and handed them to Reiner. "This is the total income of the ten demihumans yesterday, including Martina and me."

Reiner was slightly stunned. He didn't expect there were so many.

This was his idea before.

A team of three demi-humans could earn half a gold coin a day, and their investment would be recovered in about a penny.

Judging from the results so far, he would probably be able to earn back the money he spent on buying slaves and equipment in less than half a day, and the rest of his life would be pure profit.

"Why so many?"

Junice smiled happily. "I took them to work from morning till night, accepting commissions. There were four teams, and each team completed an average of three commissions. We made so much money from selling the war supplies. The efficiency of making money is quite good."

"Now that you're pregnant, don't work so hard. Go to the tavern to help them take on the mission and then come back." Reiner touched her soft golden hair.

"It's okay. I'll make some extra money while I can. I won't be leaving the house until six or seven months." Junice nudged Reiner gently with her arm. "You have to take care of me in the next few months. After all, this is your baby in my belly."

"I can support you right now."

Junice rejected it outright: "No, it's too early now. Let's talk about it after your belly gets bigger."

Reiner couldn't persuade her, and Junice was actually quite stubborn.

"Let's take a day off today. I'll take them out tomorrow."

Reiner remembered something and asked, "How long did you work yesterday?"

"I leave home early in the morning and come back late at night."

Reiner's eyes widened. "After dark, are you still out there doing commissions to make money?"

Junice nodded. "Peggy and I can use fire magic to illuminate the place, while Roxanne and the others can hold torches."

According to her description, they should have worked about fourteen hours yesterday.

She is the real capitalist...

Reiner sighed, thought for a moment, and then said, "From now on, go home as soon as it gets dark, limit the working hours to about eight hours, and then let them rest for two days after working five days."
