Chapter 37: Sooner or later, I have to kiss Nora (2/2)

Nora: (Luckily, I have good hearing and covered my mouth when I heard footsteps. It would be so embarrassing if the master heard it...)

Reiner could probably guess that the two of them were probably talking about women's little secrets.

"Are you two planning to sleep together tonight?"

Nora didn't say anything, still lost in thought.

Martina nodded: “It’s a bit cold in the room, and there’s no fireplace, so I plan to keep warm with Nora.

I'm going to light some charcoal and put it in the room to keep it warm tomorrow."

Reiner narrowed his eyes and said seriously, "It's going to kill people, don't do this."

"I'm not a fool. If I accidentally set the house on fire, I will open the window and escape. And you should be able to put out the fire quickly, right?" Martina blinked and answered seriously.

Reiner said seriously, "When charcoal burns in an oxygen-deficient environment, it produces carbon monoxide. This substance is colorless, odorless, and toxic. It reacts with hemoglobin, reducing the blood's oxygen-carrying capacity and leading to poisoning. Not only will it cause nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, it can also pose a life-threatening risk..."

Martina scratched her cheek, her eyes clear and stupid. "What's oxygen? What's hemoglobin?"

After that, she looked at Nora beside her and asked, "What is Reiner saying? Can you understand?"

Nora also shook her head.

It’s a pity that there is no compulsory education in this world.

When I have time in the future, I will definitely teach them some common sense about life.

"Boss, remember what I said. Don't light charcoal in the room. If you really want to light it, be sure to open the doors and windows for ventilation. Otherwise, there is a risk of death. Do you understand now?"

The two animal-eared girls nodded, and then repeated Reiner's words.

Seeing that Martina was acting as a third wheel, Reiner felt it was not appropriate to attack Nora, so he went back to his room obediently.

Late in the night, he heard the sound of the door opening.

Then, Nora's inner voice came.

(Master is asleep? Looks like I'm late today. I should have come earlier.)

Reiner looked back and found Nora approaching stealthily.

"You haven't slept yet?"

"I'm used to my own bed. If I move to a new place, I won't be able to sleep for a while, but I'll be fine after a couple of days." Reiner yawned, then lit the candle on the bedside.

Noila Mo whispered, "When we were outside, I felt that you slept very soundly."

"Sleeping outdoors is different from being in a room."

Neither of them spoke again.

Nora sat obediently on the edge of the bed, waiting to have her ears touched.

But Reiner grabbed her waist and held her tightly for a while.

"Let's sleep together. Don't leave tonight."

"Um."

Noila Mo nodded softly, lifted a corner of the quilt and crawled in.

The two of them were looking at each other on the bed.

(The atmosphere feels a bit weird...)

Nora suddenly moved closer and then closed her eyes.

In the dim candlelight, her rosy and plump lips were particularly attractive.

Reiner couldn't help but kiss her.

Unexpectedly, Nora was frightened and shrank back, falling off the bed.

"Master... Master, what are you doing?"

Reiner was also startled, not knowing why she reacted so strongly. "Aren't you asking me to kiss you? It's just a matter of course."

"No, I'm just getting ready for bed." Nora crawled back into bed and whispered, "That was a bit too sudden. I didn't expect you to kiss me."

Reiner hugged her and said softly, "Then let's kiss once every morning and evening from now on."

She could feel Nora getting hot in her arms.
