Junice looked at Reiner and asked, "Why, do you want to buy a book?"
"Is the Rock Magic book expensive? Approximately how much?"
"It's pretty standard. Diast's place will cost about ten gold coins, but Merode is a small city. If you want to buy books, you'll have to go to a big, bustling city." Junice poked Reiner with her staff. "You haven't answered me yet, why are you asking this?"
After thinking for a moment, Reiner answered honestly: "Remember the book that the old farmer showed us?"
"Of course you remember, that's a magic book?" Junice guessed it immediately.
Reiner nodded, "Yes, it contains records of ancient rock magic."
"You actually told me that." Junice blinked, and her serious expression looked a little cute.
"Should I keep it all for myself?"
"If I were you, I would keep it all for myself." Junice said with a smile, "Since you don't know the words in this book anyway, I'll just trick you and give you some money to get rid of you."
Reiner couldn't help but curse: "You are such a dog, but I actually thought so at the beginning.
After I find the old farmer's son and get the book, I'll give you some money."
Junice waved her hand and said, "No, I was just joking. Just take the book. I just want to follow you to explore the ruins."
"I understand. You are a noble lady and you are not short of money." Reiner reached out and touched Nora's cat ears.
Junice smiled and said nothing.
Reiner felt that she was actually quite short of money.
It is said that it is difficult to go from extravagance to frugality. Junice is a noble. If she really had money, she should eat white bread every meal.
And I've known Junice for so long.
Whenever they had time, the two of them would learn from each other outside the city.
She always has black bread for lunch every day...
Reiner sighed.
Don't think about it anymore. Junice is not his wife. Why is she guessing all day long?
At this moment, a gust of cold wind blew from the front of the road.
Nora stood up suddenly and sniffed hard.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable now?" Reiner reached out and scratched the lint under Nora's ear.
She was used to this and said calmly, "Master, I smell blood. Follow me."
Nora drew her dagger and continued walking down the street.
Something appeared ahead, attracting a group of skeletons.
Martina took the lead, wielding her greatsword to clear out the skeletons in front of her.
Junice looked down at the skeletons at her feet and murmured, "The sword in Martina's hand seems to be very powerful. The skeletons fell apart as soon as they touched it."
"I heard from the old blacksmith that it was mixed with mithril, but I don't know if it's true or not."
"It's probably true. Mithril is the nemesis of evil." Junice turned to look at him and then asked, "You must have spent a lot of money, right?"
Reiner shook his head.
Rounding up five to four, this is completely freeloading from the old blacksmith.
But seeing how Martina was messing with the sword, I'm afraid it won't last much longer...
A few minutes later, without anyone taking action, Martina cleared all the skeletons on the street.
She picked through the bones with her greatsword, then turned back and said, "Reiner, you should come and see this."
Reiner came over to her and looked down.
What came into view were three unrecognizable corpses.
Two of them were completely disfigured, and their bodies exuded a strong stench of decay, making it impossible to recognize them...
