Chapter 270: Relying on Luck

Chapter 270: Relying on Luck

Yuan Siyin strolled around with her hands behind her back, looking here and there, but before she could find anything unusual, she saw two people walking towards her with smiles on their faces.

Yuan Siyin subconsciously looked back, but there was no one else behind her. Sure enough, they were coming for her.

"Young man, is this your first time here?"

The two were extremely familiar with each other, standing on the left and right behind Yuan Siyin, looking like two door gods.

Yuan Siyin forced a smile: "Yes, it's my first time here, I don't know anything."

"We seem to click, so how about we, the two of us, show you an easy game, even if you're a complete novice? If you're lucky, a ton of money will just flow into your pocket!"

"But I really don't know how."

Yuan Siyin was perfectly clear-headed, but on the surface she pretended to be ignorant.

She had just circled around but couldn't find Zhong Heng and Yu Shiyan. Moreover, there were guards at the stairwell, clearly indicating that ordinary people were not allowed to go up or down freely. Yet, these two people in front of her were able to pass through without any hindrance, which meant that they were not ordinary people and at least had some status in this gambling den.

"Try betting on big or small first. It's fast and you can make a lot of money. Try it out first. If you lose money, we'll take you to another one to play right away."

The two pulled Yuan Siyin to a table on the inside. The person at the table was a little unhappy about being squeezed out, but when he turned around and saw the two, he immediately lost his temper and called them "brother" in a very obsequious manner.

Yuan Siyin became more and more certain in her heart, but she did not show it on her face.

She stood in front of the table, glancing down at it: "How do you play this?"

"It's simple, just guess big or small. Three to ten is small, and eleven to eighteen is big. Just guess randomly and rely on luck."

After explaining the rules, the man stepped back and gave the dealer a wink.

A glint of shrewdness flashed in the dealer's eyes, and he immediately grabbed the dice cup and chimed in, "Young man, just place your bets. Who knows, you might just make a fortune in one round and live a life of ease."

"Then bet on the small one."

Yuan Siyin didn't miss the exchange of glances between the two, and immediately and readily took off her purse and threw the whole bag of silver into the small print.

The people at the table were all stunned at the same time.

I've never seen a gambler so reckless; it seems he doesn't care about the money at all.

Yuan Siyin raised her chin, her entire being unconsciously exuding an imposing aura: "Open it."

Although he had never seen anything like it before, the bookmaker nodded sheepishly and did as the man had instructed, resulting in a score of exactly ten.

The people around immediately gasped in amazement.

"This luck is incredible! I should have called earlier!"

"If you win this much in the first game, and keep winning, won't you be rich?"

"That's right, let's try betting again!"

Hearing the encouragement behind her, Yuan Siyin smiled slightly and decided to bet on small. She didn't even bother to move, but simply reached out and scooped up a few small pieces of silver to play with in her palm.

After placing the bet, the dealer created a tense atmosphere by deliberately adding a lot of fake moves. He held the cup in his hand and shook it for a while. Just as he was about to open the cup, his wrist was suddenly pulled, and he almost lost his grip on the cup in pain.

The two men stood behind Yuan Siyin with their arms crossed. They had thought that another fool had been caught, but they were surprised to find that the score was only five points, which was extremely low.

The dealer, refusing to believe it, gritted his teeth and opened another round. As a result, his wrist was once again numb from the shock, and he didn't even see who made the move before the result was a sure small.

Not only were they surprised, but gamblers at the table and even at other tables came over to watch the spectacle.
