With Shen Yanxiu's face so close, Su Jin glanced at Lin Shi.
Lin Shi raised her hands in surrender, "Don't look at me, just pretend I don't exist."
Su Jin slowly nuzzled his face. Shen Yanxiu had already closed his eyes, ready to receive a kiss, but she chuckled softly and breathed on his face.
"Let's kiss again when you come back."
She turned and left, leaving Chen Yanxiu stunned.

Su Jin started the car and checked her phone for a message from Jiang Heng, which was sent in the morning.
[Jiang]: [Location] He's waiting for you here.
Su Jin glanced at the time; several hours had already passed.

Su Jin said softly, "Hello."
Gu Xingze felt an urge to cry.
"You've lost a lot of weight, and your hair is shorter too."
Su Jin touched the tip of her hair, "For filming."
Gu Xingze stood up and pulled out a chair. "Sit down."
Su Jin took off her coat. "Thank you."
Gu Xingze wore a suit jacket over a coat, looking very stylish, and Su Jin couldn't help but glance at him a few more times.
"How are you feeling? Jiang Heng said it's quite serious?"
Gu Xingze was taken aback for a moment, then asked, "Don't you want me to die?"
Su Jin leaned back in her chair and smiled. "Why would I want you dead? In the end, there's no deep-seated hatred between us."
Gu Xingze lowered his eyelashes and softly hummed in agreement.
"He's almost fully recovered and there's nothing seriously wrong with him."
Su Jin took a sip of water. "I think so too. Jiang Heng makes it sound like you're about to die."
Gu Xingze asked, "What did he say?"
"He said that you delayed the surgery for a whole month in order not to affect the divorce, and that your recovery after the surgery was not good."
Gu Xingze's face showed panic and fear.
“I...I didn’t let him say that, really, you believe me! I didn’t know he would say that to you.”
Su Jin blinked. "So what he said is all true?"
Gu Xingze remained silent.
His gaze fell on Su Jin's hands, which were covered with many band-aids.
