Lin Shi was still recording Director Yan's variety show when she joined the crew. Although the two could not meet, they often kept in touch.

Lin Shi rolled her eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. "You actually know how to pamper a man? Your ex-husband was practically killed by you..."
Realizing she had let something slip, Lin Shi quickly stopped talking.
Su Jin stopped smiling. "What ex-husband? What do you mean, 'raised to death'?"

“You have no idea, your ex-husband’s brother was staking out me! That night, after I finished recording the show and went home, a figure suddenly jumped out and almost scared me out of my wits.”
"Then he said his name was Jiang Heng, and that Gu Xingze was going to die? It seemed like he was having some kind of heart surgery? He said he couldn't find you, so he had no choice but to come to me."
Su Jin could no longer laugh; her face was filled with sorrow and despair.
Lin Shi continued, "But I know you're busy, so I haven't told you yet. Now that you've finished your work, I'll tell you while I'm at it."
Lin Shi whispered on the phone, "I just wonder if your ex-husband's ashes have been scattered after a few months."
Su Jin burst out laughing. "Are you sure you're not kidding me?"
"Do you think I was just kidding? His brother is still texting me, asking about you."
Su Jin frowned deeply. "Heart surgery? How come I didn't know he had any heart problems..."
“I think he might be telling the truth, because given your ex-husband’s personality, would he really not bother you for months? The only possibility is that he simply couldn’t come.”
