Chapter 493 It's good that I practiced martial arts.

Looking at the tea leaves Anna had picked, Old Man Cai sighed slightly. This batch was wasted, but oh well, at least it was only one basketful.

After watching for a while, Old Man Cai stopped paying attention to this place and went to do his own thing.

Anna walked up to Le Yao and said, "Le Yao, you actually know how to pick tea leaves."

"No, I just started learning too," Le Yao smiled. "You're pretty good too."

Anna's lips curled slightly: "It's alright, but Old Man Cai doesn't seem too satisfied."

“He’s a professional, he’s definitely not satisfied with us amateurs,” Le Yao replied casually. She really didn’t want to talk to this woman. She didn’t know why, but even though the woman’s gaze was normal, it always gave her a creepy feeling.

Anna didn't say anything more and quickly picked a basketful.

Since there was no tea-frying step, their task was considered complete.

Le Yao asked Old Man Cai for some tea leaves, planning to make some tea-based dishes for dinner.

As Anna walked down the mountain, she suddenly lost her footing, cried out, and fell to the side.

Le Yao was walking beside her, so it was impossible for her not to reach out and help her, since she had only twisted her ankle and it wasn't too serious. However, unexpectedly, Anna collapsed to the ground in that instant.

With a basket of tea leaves in one hand and supporting someone with the other, how could Le Yao possibly support the other person's entire weight? So, she was about to become Anna's human cushion, and Anna was bound to get hurt.

If you don't want to be a human cushion, then you can only push people away. In that case, being called heartless and vicious would be the least of your worries; you might even be charged with murder.

In that instant, Le Yao's mind raced, and in the end, she made a subconscious move: she threw down the tea basket, lowered her body, and assumed a horse stance, supporting Anna's body with both hands.

Fortunately, I practiced martial arts with Qiao Qiao. I was forced to practice the basics almost every day. Even during these two days of filming, President Qiao would still practice horse stance with me for forty minutes before bed.

Anna felt incredibly conflicted at that moment. She had gone so far as to self-harm to get back at this woman, and yet…

"Miss Anna, please be careful. This is a hillside. If you roll down, you might be disfigured." Le Yao gently helped Anna up before turning to save her tea leaves.

Fortunately, I used a clever technique when throwing the basket, so only a little spilled out. Most of it was still good, enough for making desserts and dishes.

Anna's lips twitched slightly, then she forced a smile and thanked her.

"It's good that you're alright." Le Yao carried the basket and walked quickly forward, keeping her distance so that even if something happened to her, it wouldn't concern her anymore.

Watching Le Yao's retreating figure as if she were fleeing, Anna clenched her fist, then glanced at one of the cameras, one of Le Yao's paparazzi.

The cameraman nodded and then hurriedly followed.

When she returned to the courtyard, everyone else had already come back. Seeing her return, they all kindly asked her how she was.

"It's great." Le Yao showed off the fresh tea leaves. "I'll be making a tea feast for everyone tonight."

"Great!" Su Jun was the first to rush over. "What do you need me to do?"

"Go rinse the tea leaves." Le Yao didn't stand on ceremony and handed him the basket directly, then rolled up her sleeves and went into the kitchen.
