Chapter 122 Grandpa Jiang

Grandpa Jiang scrutinized the man, and with his keen eyes, he immediately realized that this man was no ordinary person. Ordinary families couldn't raise someone with such an air of nobility; he looked like a child who had been pampered since childhood.

When Jiang Tong saw her grandfather, she said, "Grandpa, are you and Grandma making rice cakes? Why are you making them so early this year?"

In the past, it was made on the 28th or 29th of the lunar year, and used for worshipping the gods on the morning of New Year's Eve.

Grandpa Jiang said in a deep voice, "The weather forecast said it will frost in a couple of days, it will be too cold to cook."

That's why I made it two days in advance and left it there.

It will be usable then.

Jiang Tong agreed. Actually, she didn't have much to talk about with her grandparents. The two old people were too quiet. She would only talk to them about things she couldn't understand, and they would usually help her resolve her doubts.

Zhou Yuansheng was unaware of the way the grandfather and grandson interacted, and felt a little awkward.

Jiang Tong quickly introduced them to her grandfather, "Oh, right, this is Zhou Yuansheng, and that is my new boyfriend."

She said it somewhat shyly.

Zhou Yuansheng immediately greeted him, "Hello, Grandpa, I'm Zhou Yuansheng."

He was standing ramrod straight now.

He seems like a very upright person, not some Tom, Dick, or Harry or a rich playboy.

Grandpa Jiang had already placed the rice cakes on the square table in the living room. Hearing this, he nodded and then picked up two rice cakes that weren't too hot to handle.

When she came over, she gave one piece to Jiang Tong who was standing, and another piece to the tall guy standing next to her.

Zhou Yuansheng was still a little at a loss.

Jiang Tong patted his arm and said with a smile, "Don't be nervous. This is rice cake from my hometown. You can try it. If you don't like it, you can give it to me."

Zhou Yuansheng then smiled and whispered to her that it was okay, though he did look nervous.
