"Uh-huh!"
He ran downstairs with a thud, pretending to talk to the deliveryman on the phone. On the other end of the line, Lin Yanwan listened with great tension.
"How is it? How is it? Take a look and see if it's Tsinghua University?" After she finished speaking, Jiang Xia didn't say anything for a full five seconds, and there was silence on the other end of the line.
"Jiang Xia? Where is he? Which department issued the notification? Tell me quickly!"
Hearing the anxiety in his wife's voice, Jiang Xia couldn't help but laugh, but he had to hold it in and not let it out loud.
After a few seconds of silence, Jiang Xia said in a low voice, "Not Tsinghua University."
Lin Yanwan was stunned, as if struck by lightning. How could it not be Tsinghua University? This... shouldn't be happening. With his high academic scores, wasn't getting into Tsinghua or the Academy of Fine Arts a sure thing?
"Take another look, are you sure you're not mistaken?"
“There’s no East Gate 2, and the admission notice is from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.” Jiang Xia said in a hoarse voice, “Baby, what should we do now?”
Lin Yanwan was at a loss, her mind a mess. The two of them had struggled for a long time before filling out their college applications, but fate still separated them.
"It's alright, it's alright. We're all in the capital anyway, and we're not far apart. I can just come visit you often," Lin Yanwan said softly.
Will they really come looking for me?

Jiang Xia cleared his throat, deciding to stop pretending.
A slow smile crept onto his lips: "Darling, what if I told you the acceptance letter was from Tsinghua University?"
