Chapter 74: "I'll have to trouble you a little tonight" (2/2)

"Soup." He Chi didn't know how to explain it to her, "Try to drink less later."

He had tasted the soup before and it tasted really good. He knew Jiang Yining's potential as a foodie and knew that he would definitely not be able to control his mouth later.

He Xiaohui walked past He Chi's feet in a haughty manner and curled up in his little nest in a bad mood.

The couple fell silent as they looked at He Xiaohui's figure.

After thinking for a moment, Jiang Yining looked up at He Chi and said, "Actually, you shouldn't take He Xiaohui to be neutered. It might hurt his self-esteem."

It's no use regretting it now, this thing can't be put back.

After all, it was a cat he raised, so He Chi felt sorry for He Xiaohui. "It's okay, I'll take some dried fish to comfort it.

"I'll go check online later to see if there's a stuffed animal that looks like the Persian cat I saw earlier and buy one for it."

Jiang Yining went to wash her hands before eating. She walked into the kitchen and said with a smile, "Aunt Zhang, the soup you made smells so good."

"Then drink two more bowls later to replenish your body."

Jiang Yining was a little puzzled, "He Chi just told me to drink less."

Aunt Zhang shook her head and smiled. "He Chi," she said to Jiang Yining, "He Chi is just worrying for no reason. This is just an ordinary tonic soup, I just added a little bit of Chinese medicine. Look how worried he is."

"Yining, it's okay. If you like, drink two more bowls."

Jiang Yining was already greedy, she curled her lips and smiled, "Okay."

After He Chi coaxed He Xiaohui, he washed his hands and went to the dining table. He saw that Jiang Yining's bowl was empty, but he was still being coaxed by Aunt Zhang to continue drinking.

After Aunt Zhang left, He Chi said, "You can't drink anymore after this bowl. I drank half a bowl before going downstairs for a run, and my body is getting hotter and hotter."

Jiang Yining had read so many romance novels over the years and it wasn’t in vain. She immediately understood what He Chi meant.

She frowned and looked at her half-empty bowl, "This is my third bowl."

He Chi: “…”

Seeing that Jiang Yining's small face had begun to turn red, He Chi didn't know whether to laugh or what for a moment.

Jiang Yining asked him worriedly, "What should I do?"

Hearing this, He Chi couldn't help but laugh, "What can I do? I'll have to work hard tonight. It seems I have to drink another bowl."

Jiang Yining: “…”

She glared at He Chi angrily, wondering how he could have the time to say such things at this time.

But Jiang Yining felt that his body had no other symptoms except that it felt a little warm, so he drank all the soup in the bowl without believing it.

He Chi looked at her with a hint of amusement in his dark eyes, and said something that was particularly provocative, "Don't just drink the soup. Soup alone won't fill you up. Eat more meat so you can have strength tonight."

Jiang Yining turned around in panic to see if Aunt Zhang had come over. Her face was burning hot. She didn't know if it was because of the soup or because of He Chi's meaningful words.

This dinner was particularly difficult.

After finally finishing the meal, Jiang Yining hurried back to the study to deal with the remaining work.

After Aunt Zhang left, He Chi went back to the master bedroom bathroom to take a shower.

He didn't want to drink any more soup, but with Aunt Zhang staring at him from behind, He Chi reluctantly drank half a bowl.

In the study, Jiang Yining was almost finishing her work. She had some sweat on her forehead. She thought it was a problem with the air conditioner, but when she looked up, she saw that the air conditioner temperature was 24 degrees Celsius.

Jiang Yining touched his cheeks with both hands, and they were also very hot.

Is it because of Aunt Zhang’s soup?

She didn't feel anything before and thought He Chi was bluffing her.

After finishing the work quickly, Jiang Yining couldn't stand it anymore. She packed up her things and walked out of the study. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
