Chapter 74: "I'll have to work hard tonight" (1/2)

When He Chi returned home and opened the door, he smelled a faint scent of Chinese medicine in the house.

The smell is not bad.

He waited for He Xiaohui to slowly walk in, then closed the door and went to the kitchen to take a look. "Aunt Zhang, what are you cooking?"

Aunt Zhang smiled mysteriously at He Chi, "This is a good thing given by the old lady. She specially asked me to make soup for you to drink to nourish your bodies."

He Chi: “…”

He watched from the side for a while, pursed his lips, and said, "Aunt Zhang, are you sure you won't ruin your health by drinking so much?"

"How could that be? It's just an ordinary tonic soup." Aunt Zhang told him directly, "Actually, the old lady is just anxious to have a great-grandson."

She smiled at He Chi and said, "You know."

To reassure He Chi, Aunt Zhang added, "It's okay. It's just a normal tonic soup. If you get sick from it, ask me to reimburse your medical expenses."

He Chi said seriously, "Aunt Zhang, Yining is weak. I'm afraid she won't be able to handle the nourishing soup you gave her all at once."

Aunt Zhang smiled at him and said, "I have considered this. Don't worry, I have controlled the amount."

He Chi was still worried, "Is it ready to drink? Give me a bowl to try."

Aunt Zhang filled a bowl for him and said with a smile, "You and your father both love your wife. Loving your wife is good. Men who love their wives will never have bad luck."

Hearing this, He Chi laughed and said modestly, "I still need to learn from Teacher He in this regard."

He finished a bowl and after about ten minutes he felt that there was nothing wrong except that his body felt a little hot.

But he was sure he wouldn't be able to drink the soup later.

Jiang Yining probably won't be back so soon.

He Chi planned to take He Xiaohui to the community track to run for a while. He Xiaohui had gained a lot of weight because of Jiang Yining, and he was worried that He Xiaohui would get sick if he didn't exercise.

Jiang Yining returned to Yuhubancheng at almost 7:30. She walked towards her home and happened to meet He Chi and He Xiaohui.

As soon as he saw Jiang Yining, He Xiaohui ran towards her and meowed loudly a few times beside her.

She looked at the man walking towards her slowly, and saw a thin layer of sweat on his forehead, knowing that he had just finished running.

He Xiaohui was still howling.

Jiang Yining listened to He Xiaohui's protest, but was powerless to do anything.

She squatted down and patted its head soothingly. "Baby, you've gained a little weight recently. I'll give you some dried fish tonight."

When He Xiaohui heard that there was dried fish to eat, he finally stopped howling. He hid beside Jiang Yining and refused to stand next to He Chi.

Seeing this, He Chi raised his eyebrows.

He felt it necessary to talk to Jiang Yining, "It's not good to spoil this lazy cat too much. It's almost rebellious lately."

As He Chi was speaking, He Xiaohui rushed out like crazy.

Jiang Yining was so confused that he didn't have time to stop it.

He Chi looked over and saw that He Xiaohui, who had just looked reluctant to move, was now fighting with the Persian cat downstairs.

The owner of the Persian cat was a girl about the same age as Jiang Yining. He Xiaohui suddenly rushed over and almost scared her to death.

He Chi seriously went to arrest He Xiaohui and said sternly, "He Xiaohui, no fighting."

Jiang Yining also reacted and apologized to the girl, "I'm sorry, I didn't scare you."

The owner of the Persian cat recognized He Xiaohui when she saw He Chi. This was the blue cat. It was so pitiful. After failing to snatch a female cat from her cat, it was taken to be sterilized by its owner.

She smiled at Jiang Yining, "I'm fine."

Fortunately, the other party didn't care. Jiang Yining breathed a sigh of relief and went home with He Chi and the stubborn He Xiaohui.

After returning home, Jiang Yining smelled a fragrance, "What did Aunt Zhang cook? It smells so good."
