Wei Luchen stood before the large floor-to-ceiling window, his expression reserved and profound. His shirt and trousers were impeccably pressed, the buttons fastened all the way to the top, revealing an undeniable air of nobility.
He remained silent for a long while after hearing this, his eyes fixed on the window, seemingly lost in thought. But Assistant Xu knew that when President Wei acted this way, it meant he had something for him to do.
He stood there with his hands at his sides, waiting for his instructions.
After a long while, he finally turned around, his hands casually in his suit trouser pockets, his eyes dark and unsettling.
"Investigate who the child's father is!"

After Assistant Xu left, Wei Luchen's personal cell phone lit up.

Wei Luchen withdrew his hand, his tone cold, "We broke up a long time ago!"
He stood up, picked up the suit jacket beside him, and said, "Ah Zhen, what's done is done. If we continue talking, we might not even be able to remain friends!"
He put on his suit jacket, stepped out, and left.
Watching his resolute back, Qin Yingzhen frowned in resentment.
