Chapter 342 Congratulations on surviving through unorthodox methods

The person holding the dagger to his chest seemed somewhat familiar to Jiang Cheng, but he couldn't quite place where he had seen her before.

She is a very petite girl.

He lowered his head slightly, but could only see her long, black hair on her round head, neatly trimmed and lying on her shoulders.

The girl seemed to sense Jiang Cheng's gaze, and then slightly raised her head, meeting his eyes.

Her skin was flawless, almost translucent, with faint bluish-purple veins visible beneath its crystalline surface. As she tilted her head back, her bangs and temples swayed slightly, making her appear even paler. The sharp, striking lines of her jawline were strikingly beautiful, even somewhat intimidating. Her face was icy, her eyes like starry nights; even without a smile, she possessed a chilling quality, a coldness and clarity that seemed detached from the world. It was as if this was a sharp, assertive quality emanating from her very bones.

Jiang Cheng didn't make any move, but simply waited quietly for the girl's next reaction.

He didn't know why, but he had a gut feeling. Even though the girl had a knife to his neck and could kill him in the next second, she didn't want to kill him.

Therefore, he had no intention of hiding.

The girl with bangs kept her gaze fixed on Jiang Cheng, twisting the short knife in her hand in front of his chest with her wrist. However, she controlled the force perfectly, and the twist only tore a few decorative lines on Jiang Cheng's clothes, without causing him any harm.

At that moment, Jiang Cheng suddenly saw a few drops of blood trickle down the girl's cheek, hidden by her hair, and slowly drip onto the ground. A strange echo instantly filled the empty room.

"Clatter."

Hearing the sound of blood dripping to the ground, the girl silently raised her hand and wiped away the remaining bloodstains on her face.

Judging from her nonchalant demeanor, the blood most likely didn't belong to her, or perhaps she simply didn't care whether she was injured or not. The sharp killing intent in her eyes was indeed extremely terrifying.

Jiang Cheng's mind raced as he pondered the current situation.

This seems to be a new dream dimension.

After enduring countless pains, he finally managed to fall into this dimension, but what exactly happened here...?

Taking advantage of the moment when the petite girl was not making any movement, Jiang Cheng began to scan the small room with his eyes.

In the dimly lit room, the only light came from a flickering light bulb in the corner of the ceiling. Jiang Cheng couldn't make out what the dark thing in the far corner was, but he was drawn to a strong smell of blood.

At the same time, he noticed that the room was littered with blood-stained cold weapons, short swords and longswords piled up haphazardly, still gleaming coldly in the dim light. Where were their owners?

He looked away and noticed several corpses lying haphazardly at his feet. Each body had died a gruesome death: split heads, mutilated limbs, and one even had a deep, fresh wound on the neck, exposing the bone, from which thick, sticky blood was gushing. The blood pooled on the ground, forming an eerie blackish-red hue. His eyes were filled with terror, but even more so with resentment and grief.

Jiang Cheng once again focused his gaze on the petite girl in front of him.

She seemed completely unconcerned about the piles of corpses at her feet, simply standing quietly in front of Jiang Cheng, as if awaiting some instruction, ready to send him to his death at any moment.

"Huff, huff..."

At the same time, a series of violent and painful gasps caught Jiang Cheng's attention.

At this moment, his pupils finally adjusted to the dimness of the room, and he was able to see clearly that the dark figure in the corner was a girl with short blonde hair.

She strained to raise her head, her eyes filled with stubbornness as she looked at Jiang Cheng and the petite girl in front of him. She took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, before speaking slowly and deliberately: "There's no need to fight anymore... As long as, as long as there are three of us left, we'll all pass."

Jiang Cheng felt a slight stirring in his heart.

What she said...

Is it the language of the land of cherry blossoms?

After saying this, panting heavily, the blonde girl struggled to her feet, rubbing against the rough wall. But this movement reopened the wound she had been pressing down on, and before she could take her first step, blood began to gush from the wound on her arm that she had been tightly clutching.

But the blonde girl seemed completely unconcerned, and simply limped to the door.

As she walked, she passed by all sorts of gruesome corpses, but she didn't even glance at them. Instead, she simply kicked these mangled bodies away from her path.

There was not a trace of pity in her eyes, only...

There was only utter contempt and disdain.

Jiang Cheng could see that the contempt in her eyes came from the victor's mockery and disdain for the loser.

In a life-or-death struggle, only the survivor reigns supreme.

As the blonde girl slowly walked towards the door, the petite girl in front of Jiang Cheng also made a move.

She stared coldly at Jiang Cheng for a few seconds before withdrawing her hand and sheathing her sword with extremely steady breathing. Then she turned and walked towards the door.

Jiang Cheng remained motionless, still standing quietly at the door.

He wasn't quite sure where he was or what had happened. All he knew was that the three of them were the only living people left in the area.

The blonde girl dragged her battered body to the door and shouted irritably at the top of the door, "Hey! It's over! Let us out!"
