Chapter 227 I Have No Home

Chapter 227 I Have No Home

When Chu Rou heard Qi Lin crying, she panicked. "Linlin, why are you crying? We are sisters by blood. No matter what happens, I will still be your sister!"

Hearing Chu Rou's words, Qi Lin felt relieved. "Sister, where are you? I want to see you."

"I'm at the office, come over!"

Qi Lin arrived at the Mo Group quickly. She knew the place well and took the elevator directly upstairs.

She saw that the office lobby was full. She only recognized the woman with glasses and the woman with big waves in her hair. She greeted them and then asked, "Where is Sister Chu Rou?"

"In President Chi's office."

Qi Lin nodded, walked to the office door, and knocked.

Chu Rou opened the door, and Qi Lin rushed into her arms.

"Sister, I feel so sad."

Chu Rou closed the door, put her arm around Qi Lin, and sat down on the sofa. "How is Aunt Qi now?"

Although Chu Rou was dissatisfied with what Qi Feiyao had done, she always felt that it was a matter between elders and she did not want to interfere too much. Moreover, she and Qi Feiyao got along quite harmoniously.

When Qi Lin mentioned her mother, she choked up and could not speak. Her mother now hated Chu Rou the most, but how could she say such a thing?

"My mother has changed; she's completely different from before. I don't know which one is the real her!"

Chu Rou fell silent. She felt that Qi Feiyao's biggest mistake was doubting her father, and even more so, going to see her mother. She had already made it very clear that her mother didn't want to see her.

Chu Rou felt that a person wouldn't suddenly change; perhaps Qi Feiyao's feelings were hidden too deeply, and she had misjudged her.

This time, her father's attitude provoked her, causing her to vent hysterically.

It seems that although her father appears to be living a glamorous life on the surface, he hasn't actually had an easy time.

Chu Rou looked at Qi Lin and patted her head. "Don't be too sad. There's no problem that time can't solve. Give everyone some time to calm down, and maybe things will turn around."

Qi Lin leaned on Chu Rou's shoulder and sniffed, "My older brother hasn't been home for several days. He doesn't answer my calls. I don't know how he is."

Chu Rou was never worried about Qi Hang. He was a mature man, and even if his father left the Qi family, Qi Hang was still capable of shouldering the burden of the Qi family.

Hearing Qi Lin's words, Chu Rou also became a little uneasy, so she took out her phone and dialed Qi Hang's number.

The phone rang several times but no one answered. Chu Rou's brows slowly furrowed, while Qi Lin sat up straight, her eyes filled with unease.

Just as Chu Rou was about to give up and hang up, Qi Hang answered, "Hello... Chu Rou... no, it's my sister..."

Chu Rou raised an eyebrow, judging from his voice that he had drunk too much, "Xiao Hang, where are you?"

"Haha!" Qi Hang laughed loudly, "Does anyone still care where I am now? No one... Waaah... I don't even have a home anymore."

Qi Hang was both crying and laughing. Chu Rou felt a pang of sadness and softened her voice, "Xiao Hang, tell me where you are, and I'll come pick you up and take you home."

Qi Hang remained silent for a long time before asking in a hoarse voice, "Which home should I go back to? I have no home anymore."

“How can you not have a home? Home is wherever Dad is, and home is where Linlin and I are,” Chu Rou paused and continued, “and home is where Aunt Qi is.”

"Don't mention her, I don't want to see her right now!" Qi Hang shouted.

"Okay, okay, let's not talk about her," Chu Rou said, coaxing her like a child. "Then, I'll take you home to find your father."

Qi Hang calmed down and told them where he was: a bar.

“I know that bar!” Qi Lin said.

Chu Rou stood up. "Then let's go over there."

Mo Chi was in a meeting upstairs when Chu Rou sent him a message saying she was going out for a while and would be back in the afternoon.

Stepping out of the office, Qi Lin linked arms with Chu Rou, and the two walked intimately into the elevator.

The people in the office hall fell silent. Some of them knew Qi Lin and that she was Mo Chi's fiancée. They had just been discussing whether the two of them would get into a fight inside.

Zhuang Ling glanced at Qi Lin again. It was the first time she had seen Qi Lin. This was the eldest daughter of the Qi family. Her mother worked as a maid in the Qi family, although not in the main house.

Chu Rou and Qi Lin arrived at the bar and found Qi Hang in a private room.

The room reeked of smoke and alcohol. Several empty bottles lay scattered on the carpet, and there were still many unfinished drinks on the table. The ashtray was overflowing with cigarette butts.

"Cough cough cough!" Chu Rou and Qi Lin coughed, choked by the smell of smoke.

They walked through the swirling smoke and found Qi Hang sitting on the sofa, his head bowed and his hands on his lap.

Hearing the voice, Qi Hang looked up at them. His eyes were bloodshot, and he had a thick stubble on his chin, making him look very haggard. "Sister, little sister, you're all here!"

"Brother!" Qi Lin felt heartbroken seeing Qi Hang like this for the first time. "We'll take you home."

Qi Hang smiled and raised both arms, "Let's go home!"

Chu Rou and Qi Lin went over, pulled Qi Hang up from the sofa, and helped him walk out.

Qi Hang lost his footing and swayed from side to side, dragging Chu Rou and Qi Lin along with him.

"How many days have you been drinking here?" Chu Rou asked.

"have no idea!"

Qi Hang was in a daze. After being slapped by Qi Feiyao, he ran here and hadn't left. He wouldn't answer any calls. When he saw Chu Rou's call, he held up his phone for a long time before finally pressing the answer button.

The bodyguards outside the door breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Qi Hang finally come out; they were really afraid that their boss had drunk himself to death inside.

They tried to take Qi Hang and help him leave, but he scolded them, "Don't touch me! Someone's taking care of me! I have older and younger sisters!"

Chu Rou and Qi Lin had no choice but to help him into the car themselves. They sat on either side of Qi Hang, panting heavily. Dealing with a drunkard was really exhausting.

Back at the suburban villa, Chu Rou called Qi Wende beforehand, asking him to come down and help. Qi Hang wouldn't let anyone else touch him.

Qi Wende and others waited at the door and went to greet Chu Rou when she saw her car drive in.

He opened one of the car doors, and Qi Lin got out first. She looked at the man in front of her and called out uncertainly, "Dad?"

Qi Wende chuckled and pinched Qi Lin's cheek. "What's wrong? You haven't seen your father for a few days, and you don't even recognize him anymore?"

“No,” Qi Lin looked at Qi Wende, who was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, “Dad, you seem to have gotten younger, and you can even smile!”

"Stop teasing me!" Qi Wende patted her shoulder, telling her to move aside.

Chu Rou got out from the other side and closed the car door. "Dad, pull Xiao Hang out!"

Qi Wende bent down and looked into the car, meeting Qi Hang's gaze. Seeing his son so haggard and disheveled, his nose tingled with emotion. He stretched out his arm, just like he had done to Qi Hang when he was a child, "Xiao Hang, come to Daddy!"
