Chapter 228 If you can't do it, just say so earlier, don't hold my sister back!

Qi Wende hadn't spoken to Qi Hang in such a gentle tone in a long time; the last time he was this gentle was probably when Qi Hang was in kindergarten.

Qi Hang stared at Qi Wende with bloodshot eyes for a long time before coldly asking, "Who are you?"

Qi Wende's loving gaze instantly turned cold and fierce. "You get out here and see who I am!"

"Dad?" Qi Hang recognized the tone. He scrambled out of the car, his legs gave way, and he almost fell flat on his face. Luckily, Qi Lin and Chu Rou caught him.

Qi Wende told Qi Lin and Chu Rou to stay away, and he dragged Qi Hang into the house by himself and threw him onto the sofa.

"Aunt Zhuang!" Chu Rou called out.

Aunt Zhuang ran out, "Miss, what is it?"

"Could you please prepare a room for Xiaohang? He's had too much to drink," Chu Rou said.

Aunt Zhuang then noticed Qi Hang on the sofa. "Oh dear, young master, how did you get so drunk? I'll go clean the room right away."

Chu Rou went to get a wet towel and wiped Qi Hang's face. He was a handsome young man, but the sleep in his eyes was really an eyesore.

Qi Lin took out a box of breath fresheners from her bag, took one out and put it in Qi Hang's mouth. She really couldn't stand the smell of smoke and alcohol coming from Qi Hang's breath.

After a quick tidying up, it finally looks presentable.

Chu Rou sat beside him and heard Qi Hang's stomach growling. She gently shook her head, got up, went to the kitchen, and personally cooked a large bowl of soup noodles, which she then brought over.

"Xiao Hang, are you hungry? Have some noodles first."

Qi Hang remembered eating scallion oil noodles made by Chu Rou, which were delicious. Holding his chopsticks, he looked up and asked, "Why isn't it scallion oil noodles?"

"You haven't been eating properly these past few days, have you? Have some soup noodles first to sober up, and I'll make you something nice tonight. Maybe you can have scallion oil noodles if you want."

"Okay!" Qi Hang was very obedient. He was indeed hungry and ate the noodles in big mouthfuls, eventually even drinking the soup.

Having eaten his fill and sobered up a bit, Qi Hang rubbed his face and looked at Qi Wende beside him, "Dad, have you been staying here lately?"

"Hmm," Qi Wende looked at him coldly, "How many days have you been away from the company? You've even been calling me."

“I don’t know,” Qi Hang said, pressing his aching head. “I haven’t been there since I spoke to you on the phone.”

Qi Wende froze. The last time he spoke to Qi Hang on the phone was a week ago. He stood up and kicked Qi Hang in the shin.

"Dad!" Chu Rou pulled Qi Wende away. "Xiao Hang is upset. Please don't hurt him."

Qi Wende pointed at Qi Hang and scolded, "Is this how I taught you? What's the big deal? Why are you so despondent? I only divorced your mother, I didn't kill your parents. Is it really necessary to be like this?"

Qi Hang was no longer drunk. He sat up straight, lowered his head and listened to Qi Wende's reprimand, but the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned. His father was still his father, unchanged.

"Get upstairs and go to sleep. You'd better be at the company first thing tomorrow morning." Qi Wende pointed upstairs. "If you manage to bankrupt the Qi family in my lifetime, I'll take you with me to the underworld."

"No," Qi Hang stood up, still swaying slightly, "I haven't lived enough yet!"

After saying that, Qi Hang staggered out of the living room and went upstairs.

Aunt Zhuang caught Qi Hang halfway through, saying, "Young Master, be careful. You can't drink like this anymore, it's bad for your health!"

"I understand, Aunt Zhuang." Qi Hang was very familiar with Aunt Zhuang and didn't find her nagging annoying.

Aunt Zhuang helped Qi Hang into the room, and Chu Rou followed her in, carrying a change of clothes. "Xiao Hang, these are clothes I got from Dad. They're all new. You'd better take a shower before you go to sleep."

I spent a week partying in bars and I smelled terrible.

"Okay, you can all go now!" Qi Hang saw Chu Rou and Aunt Zhuang out.

Chu Rou went downstairs and saw Qi Lin nestled beside Qi Wende, looking miserable and saying something.

Qi Wende patted Qi Lin's hair. "If you'd like, you can stay here for a few days. Your mother needs time to process this."

"Will Mommy turn back?" Qi Lin asked sadly.

Qi Wende fell silent. He didn't know that once a person goes mad, it's hard for them to turn back!

"Maybe so. No matter what she becomes, she'll always be your mother."

Chu Rou walked over and said, "Dad, Linlin, I have to go back to the company. There's too much work back this week, and I might have to work overtime tonight. Don't wait for me and Mo Chi for dinner."

Qi Wende nodded, "Go ahead, but there's always work to be done, so don't overwork yourself."

Chu Rou is gone.

Qi Hang slept until dark. When he opened his eyes, he was a little confused. Where was he? Was it day or night?

After thinking for a long time, he remembered what happened during the day: Chu Rou and Qi Lin had picked him up from the bar.

He found his phone, glanced at the time, and saw it was already nine o'clock in the evening. No wonder he was hungry.

He turned on the light, changed his clothes, and went downstairs.

The downstairs living room was empty and deserted. Qi Hang wandered into the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat.

Aunt Zhuang happened to be there, with soup simmering on the stove. When she saw Qi Hang, she smiled and said, "Young Master, you're awake. Are you hungry?"

Qi Hang nodded. "Aunt Zhuang, is there any more food?"

"Yes, yes," Aunt Zhuang brought out several dishes and a large bowl of rice. "These dishes were specially saved for you."

Aunt Zhuang reheated all the dishes and brought them to the table. "Young master, please eat first. There's still some sweet soup in the pot. I'll serve you a bowl too."

"Thank you, Aunt Zhuang."

Qi Hang's stomach had been empty for the past few days. The noodles he ate this morning had long been digested, and even after eating all the other dishes, he still didn't feel very full.

Aunt Zhuang brought over another bowl of sweet soup. "Young master, the soup is a little hot. Please drink it slowly."

"Okay," Qi Hang glanced at Aunt Zhuang, whose face looked a little pale, whether from the lamplight or something else. "Aunt Zhuang, why aren't you resting yet?"

"I was waiting for the young lady and her husband to come back, and I made some sweet soup for them while I was at it."

"They haven't come back yet?" Qi Hang asked in surprise.

"Yeah, they said they had to work overtime, but they should be back soon!"

Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao appears.

Chu Rou and Mo Chi returned hand in hand.

Chu Rou followed the smell to the restaurant. "Aunt Zhuang, did you make sweet soup? The air smells sweet."

Aunt Zhuang was delighted to see Chu Rou and Mo Chi return. "Miss has a very good nose. Please sit down first, I'll go get you some soup."

"Xiao Hang, did you just have dinner?" Chu Rou asked, noticing the empty plates on the table.

Qi Hang hummed in agreement, "Just woke up."

Mo Chi sat down next to Qi Hang and put his hand on his shoulder. "Brother-in-law, I heard you've been drinking at the bar for seven days. You're in great shape!"

Qi Hang shoved Mo Chi's hand away. He was really annoyed by Mo Chi now, as he always used his status as his future brother-in-law to suppress him.

"What, you're so young, and your health is already failing?" Qi Hang rolled his eyes at him. "If you're not feeling well, just say so sooner rather than later, don't hold my sister back!"
