Chapter 263 Where is Laura?

Chapter 263 Where is Laura?

After learning that Chu Rou and Mo Chi were safe, Nancy dragged her aching body to the bathroom for a hot bath.

Soaking in the warm water made Nancy feel much more comfortable.

Morrison did it several times last night, making Nancy wonder if he hadn't been with a woman in a long time, like an insatiable wolf.

After taking a shower, Nancy came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel and went to the dressing room to find clothes to wear.

When Nancy saw the clothes in the dressing room, she froze on the spot. All her previous men's clothes were gone, replaced by women's clothes, all kinds of clothes, shoes and bags.

Nancy flipped through the clothes and put on the only pair she was comfortable in: a silver-gray blazer and trousers.

After changing her clothes, Nancy picked up her phone, intending to send Morrison a message to express her gratitude, only to find that her US number was still switched off. She then turned on the number.

Coincidentally, Morrison called as soon as she turned on her phone. She quickly answered, "Sir!"

After a night's rest, Nancy's voice was still a little hoarse, which reminded Morrison of how Nancy had begged for mercy last night, and he felt a rising sensation in his lower body.

“I’ll have Corey pick you up. Your brother is at my villa. Go see him.”

"Brother?" Nancy's heart tightened, reminding her of her previous nightmare. "Is it Ivan? What's he doing with you?"

"You'll see when you get there. Wait for me to come back to the villa!"

Morrison didn't say much and hung up the phone immediately.

A message popped up on Nancy's phone. It was from a teacher at Dream Creek Manor a few days ago. After seeing the message, Nancy's head buzzed. Her nightmare had come true.

Corey arrived quickly, and Nancy hurriedly got into the car with him.

"Corey, why is Ivan at Mr.'s house?" Nancy couldn't wait any longer and asked Corey directly in the car.

Corey briefly recounted Ivan's story: "When the gentleman heard that Ivan was your closest brother, he personally went to Martin's place and brought him back."

Nancy knew Martin's reputation. That damned Laura actually brought Ivan to Martin. She did it on purpose. She wanted to kill her and wouldn't let Ivan go. What did she want?

“Ivan…” Nancy bit her lower lip, not daring to ask.

Corey sighed. "This kid has suffered a lot. His external injuries are almost healed, but he's not in a good mood. He hasn't said a word since he woke up."

Nancy's heart ached. She understood Evan's personality; he had always refused to accept his fate, wanted to escape from Dream Creek Manor, wanted to break away from the William family, and didn't want to become a sacrifice for the family.

Their mothers were both of East Asian descent, so they had the same hair color. She was five years older than Ivan, and when she first saw Ivan, it was like seeing herself as a child—stubborn and full of pride.

But no matter how arrogant you are, once you arrive at Dream Creek Manor, you will become obedient and compliant.

Nancy, who was already under Morrison's protection, did not want Ivan to suffer the same pain she had endured, so she took extra care of him at Dream Creek Manor.

Under Nancy's tutelage, Evan suppressed his personality and learned to be patient, hoping to find an opportunity to leave the manor.

Nancy never expected that Ivan would leave the manor in this way, and what kind of psychological impact this would have on Ivan.

Upon arriving at Morrison's private villa, Nancy quickly followed Corey inside.

Corey led Nancy to the door of a guest room. "He's inside. Go in and see him!"

Nancy stood at the door for a long time, somewhat afraid to see Ivan, feeling that she had dragged him down.

She took a deep breath, pushed open the door, and went inside.

Ivan huddled in the corner of the bed, his arms wrapped around his bent legs, his head buried in his knees. He looked like a wounded little animal hiding in a secluded spot, licking his wounds, so helpless and vulnerable.

Nancy's heart clenched. She moved quietly to Ivan's side, reached out and touched his head, and said softly, "Ivan, I'm back!"

She felt Ivan's body stiffen, and Nancy's voice trembled, "I'm sorry, Ivan, it's all my fault, I've dragged you into this!"

Ivan reacted. He slowly raised his head, his big eyes bloodshot. In the half month since they last met, the already thin Ivan had become skin and bones.

Nancy couldn't hold back two tears. "Ivan, are you trying to kill yourself?"

Ivan opened his mouth, but his throat was so dry that he couldn't make a sound, and his eyes were filled with despair.

Nancy couldn't stand seeing Ivan like this, so she raised her hand and slapped him across the face. "Who are you trying to impress by making yourself look like this? Are you punishing me? Do you want me to suffer for the rest of my life?"

Ivan's eyes welled up with tears. He shook his head vigorously, silently calling out, "Sister Nancy!"

“If you die, who will grieve for you besides me?” Nancy rebuked him through tears. “Will your father shed a single tear for you? Will Lola feel guilty about it?”

Tears streamed down Ivan's face. He knew Nancy was right; his death would only cause Nancy pain, while those who had hurt them wouldn't even blink an eye.

“Aren’t you the most arrogant one?” Nancy continued to yell at Ivan, “Can’t you make yourself stronger so you can trample them all underfoot in the future?”

"Death is the most incompetent choice!"

What Nancy said to Ivan was also what she often told herself; it was this belief that had kept her going until now.

Ivan was woken up by the slap and the yelling. He reached out his hand, trembling, and pointed to the glass of water on the bedside table.

Nancy followed the direction Ivan was pointing and saw the water glass. She felt relieved, went over to get the glass, and personally fed Ivan the water.

Ivan gulped down the water in his glass, feeling like he'd come back to life. "Sister Nancy!"

Nancy hugged him. "It's alright. I'll ask Mr. [the man] not to send you back."

"I'm tainted!" Ivan hid in Nancy's arms, unable to accept the fact that he had been raped by an old man.

“You’re not dirty, not at all,” Nancy reassured Ivan, and comforted herself as well. “The dirty ones are the black-hearted people. They are the dirtiest people. Lola, your father, my father, the William family, they are the dirty ones.”

Nancy hugged Ivan and cried for a while. Nancy patted Ivan's head and asked, "Are you hungry? I'll go and ask someone to get you some food."

Ivan nodded. He wanted to eat, he wanted to live well, he wanted to become strong, and he wanted to protect Nancy!

Nancy got up and left the guest room. She found Corey waiting in the living room. "Corey, could you have someone prepare some food for Ivan?"

Corey nodded and told the servants to prepare some food for Ivan to take inside.

Nancy's face was as cold as ice. She raised her icy eyes and looked at Corey. "Corey, do you know where Laura is right now?"
