Chapter 66 Does Qi Hang like you?
Damn it! Chu Rou subconsciously touched her lips, cursing the entire Mo Chi family in her mind.
She chuckled twice and explained, "I just ate a bag of spicy pork tongue, and it's swollen from the spiciness."
Spicy pork tongue? Qi Hang looked puzzled. "They sell this stuff? Do you have any extra? I'd like to try some."
"Cough cough cough!" Chu Rou coughed a few times, covering her mouth. "I ate it all. I'll treat President Qi to some next time."
"Okay!" Qi Hang then turned his gaze to Chu Rou's neck. "Why is there a red mark on your neck?"
"Huh?" Chu Rou covered her neck. "It feels like I got bitten by a mosquito."
Qi Hang frowned. "I'm going to call the room manager over and ask them how they managed to have mosquitoes in the room in the middle of winter!"
Chu Rou:......
That guy surnamed Qi did it on purpose!
"Mr. Qi, what exactly do you want from me?"
Qi Hang handed Chu Rou a business card, saying, "I hope you can develop your career in City B. I can offer you better opportunities."
Chu Rou took the business card and glanced down. It was Qi Hang's business card, and his position was the CEO of Qi's Group.
She didn't know anything about the companies in City B, nor could she understand the significance of the business card. "Why would I go to City B? I'm very satisfied with my current job."
"You're not thinking of using the job to take advantage of the conditions you promised me, are you?"
“It has nothing to do with that,” Qi Hang stroked his chin. “I just admire your abilities.”
Chu Rou scoffed, "Mr. Qi, all you've seen is my pool skills. You're not thinking of hiring me to play pool with you, are you?"
Qi Hang was amused. "Assistant Chu is really humorous. You can think about it. You can call or message me anytime you've made up your mind."
“Also,” Qi Hang glanced into the room again, “I advise you to keep a certain distance from Mo Chi.”
After saying this, Qi Hang turned and left.
Chu Rou closed the door, still clutching Qi Hang's business card in her hand, pondering the meaning behind Qi Hang's words.
Mo Chi came out of the bathroom, snatched the business card from Chu Rou's hand, tore it to shreds, and threw it on the ground. "You're not allowed to call him, you're not allowed to text him, you can only think about me."
Chu Rou looked up at Mo Chi and asked, "Why does Qi Hang seem to care so much about our relationship?"
Mo Chi guiltily looked away and lowered his eyes. "How would I know?"
Chu Rou sensed that Mo Chi's reaction was unusual, and after carefully considering Qi Hang's words, her eyes darted around before she suddenly slapped Mo Chi's shoulder. "I understand!"
"You..." Mo Chi was startled, his Adam's apple bobbing. "What do you know?"
Chu Rou looked at Mo Chi mysteriously, "Does Qi Hang like you?"
Mochi:......
His Chu Zhuzhu really has a unique way of thinking and doesn't play by the rules.
Chu Rou glanced at Mo Chi with a regretful expression, but her tone was warning, "Although I like shipping male-male couples, I don't ship my own man. Stay away from Qi Hang from now on."
"Okay, let's both stay far away from Qi Hang."
Mo Chi's heart, which had been pounding with anxiety, returned to normal. He hugged Chu Rou and said, "Let's go to sleep!"
“Wait a minute,” Chu Rou grabbed Mo Chi, “If Qi Hang suspects that we’re having an affair, will he tell your family?”
"What do you mean by 'adultery'!" Mo Chi exclaimed, his face showing displeasure. "What we have is love!"
"He won't say anything without solid evidence."
Chu Rou nodded. "I understand. We'll just deny it to the death."
Mo Chi helped Chu Rou take off her blazer and then helped her unbutton it.
His slender fingers moved slowly and deliberately as he admired the different views revealed with each unbuttoned shirt.
Mo Chi stroked Chu Rou's smooth back, pulling her into his arms. He gently kissed Chu Rou's lips. "Spicy pork tongue? Chu pig, are you insulting me?"
"You're the pig! I'm insulting you."
"You dare to insult your husband? See how I teach you a lesson!"
...
Chu Rou's wish to rest early was shattered again. Every time this happened, she would feel very regretful, regretting that she had provoked such an energetic little wolf.
The next day, Chu Rou opened her eyes and found that Mo Chi had already left.
She dragged her aching body to the bathroom and took a bath in the hot spring water. After the bath, her fatigue was greatly relieved.
After putting on the change of clothes she had brought, Chu Rou took her phone and went out of the room to find Mo Chi.
She went downstairs and saw Mo Chi making a phone call in a corner.
Chu Rou walked over quietly and heard Mo Chi say into his phone, "I understand, I'll go back this afternoon."
After Mo Chi hung up the phone, Chu Rou asked, "Are we going back this afternoon?"
Upon hearing Chu Rou's voice, Mo Chi turned around, his face showing urgency. "Rou Rou, I need to go back to City B. My mother is in the hospital."
"What illness is it? Is it serious?" Chu Rou asked worriedly.
“It was an accident. She fell down the stairs and hit her head. She’s still unconscious.” Mo Chi’s expression was grave.
"Then you should go back quickly. Do you need me to accompany you?" Chu Rou asked.
Mo Chi shook his head. "Your case goes to trial tomorrow, and Wanhua Company needs you to oversee things for me. I can go back by myself."
Chu Rou and Mo Chi hurriedly left Zhuoling Manor.
Mo Chi took Chu Rou home, packed a few things, and prepared to leave for the airport.
He hugged Chu Rou tightly and kissed her face. "Wife, I'll come back once my mother's condition stabilizes. You must miss me."
“Okay,” Chu Rou said, savoring the scent of Mo Chi, “I’m already starting to miss you.”
The two lingered for a while, then Mo Chi checked the time and realized he was running out of time, so he left.
Without the inkwell, the house felt empty. Chu Rou sat alone in the living room, doing nothing, unable to concentrate on her book.
Chu Rou suddenly realized that she hadn't visited Shen Luo for several days and wondered how he was doing, so she got up and went to the hospital.
Two bodyguards were standing in front of Shen Luo's hospital room. When they saw Chu Rou, they opened the door and let her in.
Shen Luo sat against the headboard. His facial injuries had healed, and he looked clean and energetic. If it weren't for the cast on one of his legs, you wouldn't know he was a patient.
Qu Jie was reading a book, and Shen Luo was looking at Qu Jie with deep affection in his eyes.
When Chu Rou saw this, she pouted. How did her silly younger brother suddenly become so enlightened!
Hearing the voice, Qu Jie looked up and saw Chu Rou. She quickly stood up and said, "Sister Chu Rou, you're here!"
"Hmm, Xiao Luo seems to be recovering quite well. Has the doctor said when he can be discharged?" Chu Rou asked.
"The doctor said to observe for a few more days, and if there are no problems, I can be discharged," Qu Jie replied.
Shen Luo suddenly asked Qu Jie, "Xiao Jie, where will I stay after I'm discharged from the hospital?"
Chu Rou:......
Was her brother mentally impaired after the accident?
