Chapter 35 Going to His House Alone

Those two eyesores should be locked indefinitely.

On the other end, Lu Yunzhou stared intently at his phone screen. The girl who had been jumping around the most was now cowering in a corner, barely daring to breathe.

She had initially thought she could snag a rich young man tonight, and was happily dreaming of being his sugar daddy. She did whatever he asked of her.

When she received the script, she knew that she was nothing more than a tool for the play.

Lu Yun stared at his phone until it was practically worn out, but the other person didn't send a single emoji. He couldn't believe that even after he had embarrassed her so much, she wasn't angry at all.

He thought that if she made a fuss, he would go back immediately.

Unfortunately, he was disappointed.

At this hour, Su Yuxi was already fast asleep. Who cared about scumbags or bitches? Early to bed and early to rise was the only way to have the motivation to make money.

She slept exceptionally well that night, but early the next morning she received a very unlucky message.

Fu Huaijin told her to keep her promise and treat him to dinner that evening.

She thought that after so many days, the man would have long forgotten about her, and besides, wouldn't it be beneath rich men like them to have a woman treat them to a meal? Yet he still came knocking on their door.

Is this man really that desperate for a bite to eat?

Although I was very reluctant, I had promised it, so I had to do it no matter what.

Su Yuxi sent an OK gesture, opened the address sent by the other party, and what she saw made her want to poison the man to death.

She had been to this private restaurant before. The average cost per person was close to 100,000 yuan. A bottle of water was priced at 2,888 yuan. If you didn't know better, you would think it was some kind of elixir. The prices on the menu were even more astonishing. A single dish could easily cost several thousand yuan. They boasted that the food was air-freighted from the freshest source, but the portions were small. You wouldn't ascend to heaven after eating it.

She's fine with others inviting her, but if it's her turn to pay, sorry...

"Hehe... Mr. Fu, actually I think that as a token of my gratitude, I would cook for you myself. My cooking skills are quite good..."

There was a pause of a few minutes, then another location was sent.

The image showed a villa on a hillside. Su Yuxi breathed a sigh of relief; this meant they had agreed, and at least several hundred thousand yuan was safe.

She immediately started thinking about a few dishes, but realized that buying groceries would cost a lot of money. She rubbed her face, thinking she was quite shameless, and sent him all the food she needed so he could prepare it in advance. She would go over in the afternoon.

He found the place, and she wasn't familiar with the area. If the food spoiled on the way, it would be quite troublesome, so she simply asked him to prepare everything.

Half an hour later, the other party replied with a casual "hmm".

When Su Yuxi saw that the other party had agreed, a small surge of joy welled up in her heart. This meant that she could save a considerable amount of money on ingredients, and her mood immediately improved a lot.

She cooked lunch and set aside some food for dinner.

The woman in the hospital can only eat soft food now, just porridge and soup every day. All of this can be simmered over low heat, and we can take it over in the afternoon without any problems.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, after instructing the maid, Su Yuxi prepared to go out. She thought about it carefully and realized that she was inviting people to dinner, and the dishes had already been prepared. It would be inappropriate for her to go empty-handed.

So before leaving, she took two expensive bottles of red wine from the wine cabinet and some fruit from the refrigerator, intending to give them away as a favor. She didn't know much about wine prices, but Lu Yunzhou seemed to cherish these wines, so they probably weren't cheap. It wouldn't be too embarrassing to give them away. Don't think she was being stingy; the wine was definitely more expensive than the food.

She dawdled along the way, and by the time she arrived at the villa halfway up the mountain, it was already five o'clock.

Far from the city center and isolated from its hustle and bustle, this place features a villa on the entire mountain. The surrounding area is lush and green, with the sound of babbling brooks and the sight of waterfalls and streams in the distance. The downstream river is crystal clear, and a swim around it would be an unparalleled pleasure.

But she has important things to do right now.

Su Yuxi drove to the gate of a magnificent villa, but the gate, which should have been guarded, was now empty.

The surroundings were unusually quiet.

Looking around, the lush foliage of the surrounding trees and the layered peaks transform this area into a dense, seamless green barrier, somewhat like a mysterious veil shrouding the villa.

A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, casting dappled shadows. Her heartbeat echoed in her ears, and it felt as if a pair of eyes were watching from the shadows within the dense thicket, sending a chill down her spine.

Su Yuxi rolled up the car window, calmed herself down, and continued driving inside.

When she came in, there was still no one there, like an empty city. If it weren't for the scent of that man she could smell, she would have suspected that he was playing her for a fool.

She parked the car anywhere she wanted and took all the things she had brought with her.

She entered the villa without any access restrictions and walked smoothly into the hall.

The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. This place gave her the feeling of being lured into a trap.

She must have misunderstood.

Not far inside, you can see Fu Huaijin lounging on a soft sofa. His eyes are closed, his face is pale, and his long silver hair cascades down the sofa like a waterfall. The dim sunset shines gently on him through the window, and the reflection in his silver hair makes him look as if he is draped in a holy veil, softening his originally cold face and making him look more like the moon in the sky, pure, sacred and inviolable.

If it weren't for the financial news playing on the television and the deep, stilted voice of the presenter filling the room, she would have had the illusion that the man shouldn't be here, but rather...

What business is it of hers?

Su Yuxi silently sighed in her heart, "This man is indeed quite handsome."

She withdrew her prying gaze, her eyes darting around as she surveyed her surroundings. Apart from the person on the sofa, there was no one else in the room.

She walked in quietly, listening to the man's even breathing, and called out softly, "Mr. Fu."

As soon as he finished speaking, Fu Huaijin's dark eyes snapped open, meeting Su Yuxi's cautious gaze directly.

Upon seeing her, Fu Huaijin's tightly furrowed brows relaxed, and the weight that had been pressing down on him suddenly lifted. Without moving an inch, he simply said, "You're here."

"Hmm," Su Yuxi glanced at the time. It was exactly five o'clock. She needed to prepare some ingredients, some of which needed to be marinated. This was just enough time. However, looking at the empty villa besides them, she had a bad feeling.

"Mr. Fu, where are your servants?"

Fu Huaijin supported his swaying body with his palms, slowly sat up, leaned back against the sofa, gently exhaled a breath of stale air, and then said, "It's vacation time."

These three simple words clearly indicate that she will be cooking the entire meal herself tonight, without anyone to help her.
